I was craving something sweet and was pleasantly surprised by how this delicious Tres Leches!!! I'm still thinking about it ... I don't care how full you are, you MUST order this dessert after your main course. Thank me later

We stopped here for lunch, Hillstone is a fabulous Miami gem. We got the tuna Tatar, which I highly recommend as the appetizer, and a chicken Caesar salad, with the traditional hamburger, which was phenomenal! This place is glitzy and flashy, so make sure you’re shining too!

I've had the pleasure of dining at Hillstone several times, and each visit has been consistently delightful.

The atmosphere exudes a relaxed vibe, allowing guests to unwind while enjoying the charming surroundings of the nearby shops. The staff is always welcoming and attentive, adding to the overall enjoyable experience.

Now, let's talk about the food – it's simply outstanding. One of my favorite items from the menu is the deviled eggs. I'm typically not a fan of eggs, but Hillstone's version is truly exceptional. The French Dip Au Jus is also a standout, but my absolute favorite is the Ding's Crispy Chicken Sandwich. It's so flavorful that it never fails to impress. And if I'm watching my carb intake, I opt for the sandwich without the bread, which is just as satisfying. Additionally, the spicy and creamy coleslaw and tabbouleh with lemon vinaigrette sides always complement the meal perfectly.

With such a fantastic dining experience, I'm already looking forward to my next visit and trying out something new from the menu!

Inside the exclusive Bal Harbour Mall you find this excellent American restaurant with well prepared signature dishes like French Dip Au Jus and Carolina Barbecue Beef Ribs. Desserts are always worth trying: Hot Fudge Sundae or Tres Leches. Service is outstanding and the ambiance is very classy. Highly recommended!

The burger is one of the best items here. So juicy, flavorful, and delicious. It is plated well. It is generously portioned. Just a great food item to order here.

I don't eat seafood. But the other people that I went with ordered the sushi and they say it is some of the best sushi around Bal Harbour.

The warm bread plate is also very good with the selection of butter and olives. It is a very flavorful dish.

Oh, where do I even begin with Hillstone? This restaurant deserve a constellation of stars! From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for an extraordinary, dining experience. The food, the food, the food!! The Osaka style press sushi took us on a flavor journey we never expected. Phenomenal doesn’t even begin to describe it. Now let’s not forget the Carolina style beef ribs. They were so tender and succulent, we couldn’t help but feel like royalty devouring them. The desserts were the perfect finale to an already mind blowing meal. Trust me, you don’t want to miss them. The drinks were equally impressive -expertly crafted. Service was always on point. Never missed a beat. This is a must visit for foodies.

Ate here twice, mostly in 2019. The food is exceptional. When we last went our party of four got the ribs, a roast sandwich, and 2 dishes with shrimp. Both times the service was impeccable and you get a great view of the fine automobiles and when you look out form the bar you feel like you’re on an island 🏝 with all the trees. Easily one of my top two restaurants in Miami, and I was brown here. I look forward to trying another tequila next time I’m around. The dresser there is fantastic by the way!

They must have soaked it in a brown butter sauce … yum yum. We had no reservations so it’s first come first serve at the bar. We found a seat after waiting about 10 minutes. The bartenders are are super friendly and attentive. The staff overall provided attentive and professional service, making us feel valued throughout the evening. The restaurant's interior struck a balance between elegance and relaxation, setting the stage for a memorable meal with friends or a romantic dinner. 5 ⭐ this restaurant delivers on all fronts, offering a must-visit destination for those seeking a remarkable dining experience.

I’ve been to the east coast sister restaurant, Houston’s, but have to say I’ve started to like Hillstone a bit more due to the menu options. Seating at the bar is super easy if you arrive by 7 and you’re helped by some of the best bartenders. I had interactions with Stella and Roman when visiting on separate occasions and I always am met with a welcoming smile and friendly service. Pictured are the bar seating table settings, deviled eggs, nigiri plate, caesar salad, French dip sandwich (must have) and the key lime pie. Everything was just as delicious as the pictures. Note that everything comes out a different times or can be asked to come out together which is nice. It was great for sharing with others. Overall, if you’re in Bal Harbour and want something good to eat, Hillstone is a solid option due to its consistency and modern ambiance.

Everything I tried was excellent. I shared the nigiri, tuna tartar, and artichoke with my boyfriend, and it was all amazing. If the artichoke is available when you go, make sure to try it! After we shared the trout entre and the server was nice enough to let us substitute the kale salad as our side (also excellent).

Atmosphere was subdued, not as hectic as the Coral Gables location ( I was actually surprised we were seated right away. At the Coral Gables location there are always people waiting outside).

Definitely a little pricey, but the food is tasty and high quality. Not unworthy of a splurge now and then.

Located within the Bal Harbour shopping mall, Hillstone serves up some excellent food and wine choices. Actually I've never been to a Hillstone / Houston's that I haven't liked which is how I felt leaving this particular establishment. The place was packed for lunch, the service was outstanding, and the food was great. Highly recommend it here and when your done eating you can walk around the mall and do a little shopping!

Went here for late lunch/early dinner and it was great!! From the appetizer, the entrée and dessert, everything came out nicely. Highly recommend! That steak was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked! Can’t wait to go back! Our server was very pleasant as well! Excellent service!

A great restaurant that serves delicious food. Compared to the other restaurants in the shopping centre, this one is by far the best. The service is really efficient and professional. They were happy to accommodate our nut allergies as well. I would strongly recommend their tuna tartare and beef ribs as they are without doubt some of the best I had. If you are visiting Bal Harbour Shops, stop by this restaurant to eat. We really enjoyed it. I'm giving 5 stars because the food and the service is amazing.

An all time favorite. This restaurant and Houstons are related. So if you like one you'll love the other. If you're not familiar I would call it a sophisticated American bistro. Today I asked for a cheeseburger open face and extra crispy fries. They nailed it for me.

Five stars are earned, not given. And man had this place earned theirs. Highly consistent food and service quality make this a must in Miami. Xavier was one of the most phenomenal servers I’ve ever had. I came here for my friend’s birthday not knowing what to expect 🥳. Well as I go back to New York, Xavier and the team at Hillstone at Bal Harbour have left an unforgettable impression. Thank you all for amazing service and food.

Food is always great, they have one of the best margaritas in town! Staff super nice and friendly. Only thing I wish they had the oysters all year long! The crispy chicken sandwich my fav!!! And a most have the tres leches!!

Some menu variations between this and Houston’s, but many of the same items, including the delicious French dip. But have to say the fries were overcooked and tasteless. That was the low spot of the meal, but the sandwich was perfect. For reliably good food and an upscale environment, you can’t go wrong here.
