Catfish House

My girlfriend and I had a lovely seafood dinner at the Catfish House. All the seafood was extremely fresh and delicious. The blackened combo is the way to go. And you have to finish with a slice of the key lime pie. Our waitress was excellent. We highly recommend the Catfish House for a taste of fresh Florida seafood done right.

Absolutely love the atmosphere the staff and the food . Everyone is very pleasant. I can't wait to go back and try more stuff didn't get to have desert I was so full and happy when I left though. So happy that I found this place. I have to say the Frog legs and the catfish oh man so yummy. Oh and be careful with the tartar sauce my husband almost ate half the bottle they put on the table. I must have missed a picture of the conch fritters doesn't matter whatever you order will not disappoint. Thank you to all the staff at catfish house you made my day !!

After a long day of hiking in Johnathan Dickinson Park or spending a relaxing afternoon on Hobe Sound Beach, Catfish House is there to provide the perfect "icing on the cake".
What a temping menu! Comfort food done right.
Started with the included fresh cool crisp salad.
Moved on to the wonderful crab soup. Not crabby but full of crab!
Then a crazy plate of steaming hot fried green tomatoes with yummy hush-puppys almost did us in.
Finally.. the Mississippi boneless fried catfish.
Wow! Flavorful and steaming hot. Not greasy at all. Our only regret, no room for desert.

One of the few remaining and best old Florida restaurants in our area. Unfortunately this local treasure is closing soon for good. I will miss the warm service, casual atmosphere and excellent seafood and southern homestyle favorites including fried green tomatoes. We will miss you Catfish House! Thank you for the wonderful memories and delicious meals.

Love this place. It's homey and the best catfish, frog legs, shrimp, and gator bites in Martin County. All the sides are excellent too. You get lots of food for the price you pay. I always get the Greg's combo with the small catfish on the bone. Sometimes we dine in, and sometimes take out.

Family's favorite restaurant, one of them for sure. Devastated that they are closing. Hard working and caring owners for many years. Hope I can get there before their final days. Could they be may be moving? The atmosphere was the cutest as well.

Went last Saturday for the first time. The shrimp scampi was delicious. The cole slaw, which is a small thing at a seafood restaurant, was beyond perfect. Our server Heather was so kind and really looked after us. I LOVED it

Great local place. Huge amount of food and all of it good. Calamari, catfish, shrimp, gator, Mahi. We were first-timers, but all the team made us feel right at home. We will be back, but likely share an entrée, or skip the appetizer (skipping their food won't be easy). The atmosphere was one of an old fashion fish camp. I suggest shorts and a light shirt. It's popular so it can get a little warm.

My wife and I have been coming here for the past 10 years.
The food has always been awesome!
We have had a chance to order most everything on the menu and have never been disappointed.
We have noticed the prices creeping up over the years but great seafood is seldom cheap.
The dining area is quaint and the bathrooms are outside and on the side of the building. (It is an old gas station after all)
The wait staff has always been patient and accommodating.
The portions are large and my wife and I always have enough food for supper the following night.
Everyone we have invited to dine with us agrees this is a great find.
I strongly recommend this place to anyone wanting a great off the beaten path dining experience.

Great food! Our waitress, Karen, was so helpful and made sure we received everything we needed to make our visit enjoyable. I love seafood and I was not disappointed with the catfish! I plan to visit again when I come back in April!

Great place to eat. They have an interesting menu. They had gator and frog legs on the menu as well as grouper and tuna. I would have experimented and tried the frog legs but they apparently have been out. I'm just amazed that I seen those on the menu.

We ordered the grouper two different ways and it was good both ways.

This is the best, freshest fried seafood in the area. Gregg's platter gives you everything from the swamp to the sea at a very fair price, and you'll definitely have leftovers. The key lime pie CANNOT be skipped, I don't care how full you are! Our server Karen was wonderful. This place is the best.

Every meal that I've eaten here has been perfect. Catfish House is a true dining pleasure. Best coconut shrimp that I've ever had. The blackened scallops and catfish are superb. Outstanding service.

My friend and I are hobe sound locals and we ate here for the 1st time. The food was excellent. I had shrimp scampi and my friend had the grouper. Service was also excellent. We will be back...

First, I must confess that I'm not a fan of catfish. To me, it always tastes fishy. But my husband loves it. So the other day we were driving down the road and I suggested we call ahead for a to-go order. It was ready by the time we got there. We ordered 1 helping of catfish. I was pleasantly surprised because it was big enough to feed us both. We also go coleslaw, fries and hush puppies. All included. I gave it a 5 stars because it wasn't bad. Didn't taste fishy at all. Loved the fries and slaw and hush puppies. Service was excellent.

From the outside this place looks like what would be a typical bar restaurant. Walking in I was surprised to see and feel like a homey experience. The food was amazingly good. I had blackened shrimp and chicken and once I ordered it I knee being at a place called the catfish house I should have ordered catfish. The hush puppies that they give you are delightful. This place os a little on the expensive side so beware. Paid more than should have for gator bits even tho it was an entrée that my buddy ordered. All in all great place and would recommend.
