Our field trip to the Loggerhead Marinelife Center was truly exceptional. Susan, Betsy, and our guides provided an incredibly informative and engaging living beaches class. They were patient and thorough with our group of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities from Spark2Ignite's Learning Center, and we all came away with a wealth of new knowledge. Witnessing the fish and shark feeding, along with seeing a turtle being rehabilitated, were unforgettable moments that highlighted the center's dedication to marine life conservation. Loggerhead Marinelife Center is a truly special place, and I am grateful for all they do. Thank you for such a meaningful experience!

Go and enjoy their mission and all their tanks. Went for TurtleFest 2024 and well organized. Volunteers and employees are happy to share information on their current patients. Try and also attend a release. Good feeling stuff.

Wonderful family experience! The center was donation entrance fee only, not the $6 advertised which might put people off with large families like ours. We all left a donation and bought a bunch of stuff from one of the best gift shops I've seen in a while. There are wonderful jellyfish aquariums and seahorse aquariums up the ramps, so don't miss them. The six kids with us had a blast doing the fish drawing activity on the digital screen on the wall. When we were there, they pulled the huge turtle out of his tank and transported him on a stretcher, to the small hospital at the center. The kids were so amazed to see the turtle's size. The staff walking around the place were educating the kids and a joy to talk to. Definitely bring the kids. Our family had a blast!

It's a small location but worth the visit! There were 20 sick turtles today. It's free to enter but please leave a donation. The turtles are beautiful and you can see them up close. I recommend going as soon as they open, they get very busy. The turtle tanks are clean and well maintained. We got to see them be fed squid. The gift shop has a huge selection, most items are overpriced. There is a nature walk. We had to keep circling for parking for someone to leave. There is a path that takes you straight to the beach. There are a few tanks with fish in them.

Donations are accepted but otherwise it’s free. Large open tanks with various size/age turtles to view. Tropical aquariums are also available to view, one even containing a shark! Beautiful “trash” art inside!
We really enjoyed ourselves.

We really enjoyed our visit to the loggerhead marine life center. They are non profit and free to enter. Anyone who would like to donate there are options to donate. There were 12 turtles patients and going thru treatments. We experienced turtle feeding and enjoyed learning about their habitat. Not just kids but adults can also learn more at this center if you like turtles.

Love this place! Such great conservation and education environmental programs and standards! Truly a cool experience - & it is free!!! Definitely a great place to give donations to since what they do to rehabilitate and teach is phenomenal. The interactive screens are so much fun - especially building your own fish!!! Did I mention the awesome stuff in the gift shop? Another great stop on your way out.

I love this place. Although it's not big, it was still a great experience to see and listen to all the stories of the sea turtles they helped save and recover on site. Kids will love this place but also adults if you love marine turtles as much as I do. They also have small exhibits of fish and even jellyfish which was cool. I highly recommend if you are in the area to check this place out!

The staff is very knowledgeable and there is always something new. The "garbage" display was beautiful and thought provoking. They had several rescued turtles being rehabilitated for release. We enjoyed the visit!

Recently I took a drive up to loggerhead with some friends and it was so great! I had a very relaxing day. There’s a couple small things to see, aquariums with bioluminescent jellyfish, but the turtle rehabilitation areas are the main attraction. The beach is also close which I wish I could’ve gotten to that day, as it was so hot outside. We talked to the front desk workers for a while and they were fantastic! Very helpful. Overall, this would be a great place if you want something fun to do, want to look at turtles, or a kids day out. Free entry!

Whether you’re an adult coming without kids or want to take your kids this is a very great place to spend some time. You will be educated about the sea turtles and you will see all different kinds of them. This is a rehabilitation center where they heal the turtles and then release them back into the wild. I highly recommend coming here and also you can get involved if you want.

WOW!! All I can say is two thumbs up. The center is so inviting and every employee (or volunteer?) was simply amazing. I recommend finding Hal as he was the highlight of our day. His love for sharing his knowledge of Turtles was worth the hour drive for my family. Even on a rainy, windy, cold day, we had an amazing time learning about Turtles. We went for our daughter but stayed for us:-)

Interesting experience for learning about the turtles. It works on donations only for payment and the minimum is suggested is $10 per person. Very good gift shop.

This place is probably one of my favorites. They offer FREE admission for the whole family and rely on donations and volunteers. We came during August (so it was hot) but they have a little shop that sold Popsicles (organic ones as well) and drinks. We got to see the rescued Sea turtles including many babies as well. They also had a really cool section (in A/C) with some other fish and jellyfish tanks as well as an interactive screen where you could choose a marine life animal-color/paint it- and cast it onto the screen so your creation can swim around. Later that night I did pay extra to be able to watch a Sea Turtle release. This was only for people 10 years or older. It was well organized and I learned a lot. The staff/volunteers truly enjoy their job and it shows.
