Ocean Point Claims - Florida Public Adjuster

As many of you know, after hurricane Ian, dealing with recovery was very difficult at times. But that was not my experience with Ocean Point Claims, which proved to be an extremely fair, honest company to do business with. I was especially pleased with the way adjuster Eli handled my claim. I would highly recommend this company.

Amazing service! After Sally, our 14 unit complex was left with quite a bit of damage to our roof and siding as well as water damage in condos. We had Heritage as insurance coverage and what a joke they are. They ended up taking 45k in deductions leaving us with about 9k for “ fixing” our condo. We were devastated and panicking. A GC recommended Michael and Eli as our public adjusters. I cannot stress just how much they accomplished for us. They fought our insurance with their incredible knowledgeable and experience and they saved us financially and emotionally. If it had not been for Ocean Point, we would not have been able to make the repairs we needed to have a secure and structurally safe condo. We are blessed and fortunate to have had Ocean Point in our corner doing all the dirty work. Ellie was great!! The outcome was mind blowing and such a huge relief on the stress if knowing we were going to be ok. I HIGHLY recommend this company . Despite having a terrible contractor (John Robert's LLC) we had a good outcome . Ocean Point Claims (Eli) did save the condo complex. I suggest you just dig deep on researching contractors first but we did get fortunate with Ocean Point Claims.

Working with Mary Petrou at Ocean Point Claims was the best decision my family made after enduring the impact of Hurricane Ian. There were many attributes we appreciated about Mary. Most notably we appreciated her insurance acumen, responsiveness and sensitivity in handling issues. You can be rest assured that once you hire Mary at Ocean Point Claims, you are in capable hands.

We found several leaks in our roof in the Summer of 2019 and had the first two repaired out-of-pocket by a independent roofer before we contacted Bates Roofing to do a more professional assessment. Bates Roofing found that the roof needed a complete and costly replacement. The problem was that our insurance company was pushing back. Bates Roofing suggested that I contact a Public Adjuster to evaluate the roof and deal with the insurance company on our behalf. We contacted the Ocean Point Claims Public Adjuster, Eli Goins, and he attributed to damage from Hurricane Irma of September 2017. He made a case and presented it to our insurance company. The end result was we received a brand new $65,000 tile roof of our choosing and paid $0 out-of-pocket, as we had already paid the deductible in 2017 for the damage to our fence. Mr Goins is a fighter for you and loves to win! He would not stop until he won this claim for us. We did not do anything, except to hire him to represent us. We just stood out of the way and he took care of everything.
If he did not win, we would pay him nothing. I highly recommend him and his company and will use him again if the need ever arises.

I am writing this review on behalf of Mary Petrou who was recommended to me as the adjuster to deal on my behalf with my insurance co. that was giving me a hard time despite the fact that the flooding in my apartment was caused by a third floor tenant.
Mary acted like a professional throughout the entire process. Besides reassuring me throughout, that she will protect me and my rights, she was there, acting in a psychological role as well , and was an emotional support for me throughout the process.. It was her constant support that helped me to the finish line..
She is bright and knows how to deal with people. I highly recommend her for any future task in this field.. She is more than qualified.

Eli Goins has been amazing! Not only did he assist in getting us a reasonable settlement to repair our hurricane Sally damage, but he took the time to keep us informed on where we were with the process, and what to expect next.

We had never made a home insurance claim and initially were discouraged that our insurance adjuster's quote was about 5% of what would legitimately be needed to repair the damages.

If you ever have need to put in a claim to your insurance company I strongly recommend you hire this company. They take care of everything so you do not have to deal with the insurance company reps and they make sure you get the max amount for your claim. I do not think I would have been able to get anywhere close to what Ocean Point was able to negotiate on my behalf, and that is not even taking into account the ease of not having to deal with the insurance company. While deployed, Hurricane Irma (2017) removed part of the roof on my house and caused significant damage to other areas including my fence and deck. I received what I thought was a lot of money, but upon getting quotes from numerous contractors I realized what they paid was less than half it would cost to fix and bring it back to anywhere close to what it was. I used that up and hardly made my home livable. I got in contact with Ocean Point Claims 4 years later (after I was able to assess the damage myself when I retired) and Leif came to my house within a few days. He spent most of a day taking extensive photographs and measurements. Within 6 months, my insurance award was doubled! Even after the award, Leif didn’t just walk away. He is still working with a law firm to work on recovering more insurance money I should be entitled to. Leif always answered or returned calls, messages and emails, and let me know how the process was going. I didn’t expect much when I called initially as it’s an insurance issue… wow I’m happy I did and I doubt there’s a better person to call than Leif.

I want to thank Mary Petrou of Ocean Point Claims for all of her hard work in helping my elderly Grandparents with their TS ETA claim. My grandparents house began leaking soon after the storm and even though the roof was quite old Mary told them that she would help them get a new roof. Of course we thought it impossible because the Insurance Company denied the claim already. However, with Mary’s hard work and diligence my grandparents received the money they needed for the roof . Words cannot express the gratitude the family has for Mary’s determination!

Who knew ? Sure we had some leaks, but we didn’t know you were suppose to call your insurance company for every $750 leak....So when Eli came and diagnosed our problem as hurricane damage, we were pleased. When he got us a settlement, needless to say we were THRILLED.

Michael Gergora of Ocean Point contacted us after seeing damage to our home from Hurricane Sally. We had been denied our claim with our insurance company due to limited damages to cover our deductible (in the insurer's adjuster opinion). Michael did a thorough inspection of our home and explained what was required by law for the insurance company to repair. It exceeded the insurer's claims and we hired OP to proceed. The process took a few months but communication was good and we were advised of each step. We received payment to take care of the damages we sustained from the storm. We would highly recommend Ocean Point if having trouble with an insurance claim.

Our home was struck by lightening on the top of house causing a large hole and shaking the home so abruptly that roof damage was caused to tiles and splintered trusts. Our insurance company sent "their" independent adjuster out to document all damage. With damage to roof and many electrical items in home (home theatre systems, tvs, pool heaters, roll down awnings, fans, water damage inside home, hvacs, cracked PVC lines for pool, a palm tree killed) we had estimates for repairs for all items at around 100K. Insurance wanted us to settle well below the repair/replacement cost estimates. We contacted OPC based on a recommendation. Eli Goins and all staff at OPC worked with helping us obtain a settlement that we could live with. This settlement agreement would not have been possible without OPC.
