I had the best time going here for dinner. I live about a hour and half from here and it was well worth the drive. Had several friends come too and they enjoyed every minute of it, food was absolutely delicious. If you go the steaks are a must have. I normally don’t like steaks but after having it here I have changed my mind it was seasoned perfectly. The staff here are wonderful and friendly they also had live music playing which was really nice. There were fantastic views to look out on and enjoy while you where eating. If your staying at the lake or just wanting to try something new this is the place to go. Already planning my next trip down!!!!!!!!

Love! Love! Love! This place!! Cabins have all the amenities you need!! Cute and cozy!! The food at the restaurant is AMAZING!! The hand cut steaks and grilled shrimp is a must!! A great place for a weekend getaway or a night on the town!! Oh and specials on drinks and cabin rentals!! This was the jalapeno mango margarita!! Yummy!!

Love the update with the outdoor patio. Warm and welcoming as always. Delicious food ! Thank you to the owners for an awesome stay . Clean cabins. Been coming for years through various owners. This place has more improvements coming they say. I love it the way it is & will be back . Highly recommend.

This place overlooks the beautiful wappappello lake with a huge Indian on a beautiful patio. You can come eat steaks while overlooking the lake. Will def come back!

Absolutely wonderful! My husband and I spent 5 nights here and it was GREAT! Did a fishing charter with Wayne and he was the best! McKayla took care of us like we were family. Will definitely be back and highly recommend

My hubby took me out for a date night here on steak night and it was hands down better than any steakhouse around! Staff was friendly and timely. And the view of the lake having dinner on the balcony made our date night extra special 💚

We have stayed here several times and it's always the best time ever! Have been to a wedding here and it's a wonderful venue for a wedding! Dallas and his steak making ability is the best you will eat. The ice cream is addicting! The pool is amazing. Cabins are great! Clean and everything you could need or want. Sitting on the deck watching the sun set and rise with a cup of coffee and breakfast... dreaming of that wishing I was there now! Can't wait to go again. In Oklahoma dreaming of Chaonia Landing !

Stayed here for our anniversary. The service was great! Cabins are very spacious and a great view of the lake! I know there is good fishing here but didn’t do very well this time out. We will definitely be back to try again! Thank you for a great stay!

My family and I did the Sunday-Friday cabin rental with two day free pontoon. Great value! The cabin was clean and furnished with everything we needed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall a great affordable vacation! We will be going back.

Amazing place. Good food, friends and times are to be had here. The cabins are comfortable and feel like a home away from home. The pontoons are a fun way to spend the day on the lake and there's great crappie fishing. It's a nice place to unwind and get away from responsibilities for a while. We'll be back!

My boyfriend loves this place! He has two boat slips and one RV spot rented for the year. They keep an eye on the RV so we feel okay about leaving it parked there. They also have a nice restaurant. We ate a good meat there. He’s treated several of his family members there for a meal. The staff are friendly. We love it and go back frequently to visit.

We stayed in Cabin 2 for two nights. Very clean and larger than expected. Beautiful view overlooking the lake. Covered porch with a table and chairs. Couch and recliners in living room. Kitchen has a large table and chairs. Very nice. Store\Restaurant has everything need for your stay. Great food. A boat stall comes with your cabin rental. We rented the pontoon for the day. Family owned and great service. We will go back.

My boyfriend, son, parents and brother; along with his wife and children (3,6 and 8 years old), all went down to Chaonia Landing for a weekend getaway family trip. We stayed Thursday-Sunday. Check in is at 3pm and checkout is at 11am. We rented cabins 1 and 2 for our stay. These cabins were each two bedrooms (linens included) 1 bathroom (towels and wash rags included) fully furnished kitchens complete with a full sized refrigerator, oven/stove, and dinning table. The living room includes a pull out couch and two chairs with a flat screen tv (the kids hooked their switch up to to play smash brothers on while we had down time). The view from the full sized windows in the living-room over looks the wrap around deck and a beautiful view of the glorious lake! So much about Chaonia is untouched outdoor beauty and we love that about this property!

Our deck wrapped all the way around both cabins and has two outdoor benches to sit on and watch all of the hummingbirds come eat out of the feeders hanging off of the deck! We have never seen so many hummingbirds in one place before! The deck also includes a round outdoor table accompanied by 4 chairs each. (Since our family was sharing both cabins, we pushed them together for some out door eating and lounging.) We played musics and cards, grilled (yes they also have bbq pits!), dined outdoors and had the option to go use a small fire pit right out in the woods near our cabin in a private location designated just for the cabins! There was also a path down to the water for shore side fishing that we took advantage of all throughout the day. The one thing we joked with the owners about was making a sign for the outdoor personal trash cans to beware of the nightly snack bar the raccoons think is reserved just for them! Simply just take your trash up to the big dumpster or bring it in for the night so you don’t have visitors! It is the great outdoors after all!

Our family also indulged in the wonderful swimming pool that is also reserved for the cabins only. We played some water volleyball and the kids had a blast as its not too deep at all in the pool! 4ft I believe?

Along with our cabin booking we decided to book a pontoon boat for two days. BEST DECISION EVER! We rented the Sun-cruiser which is their biggest pontoon boat and we were pleasantly surprised! We took the boat out all day the first day, we only used $15 in gas to go to a flat they had told us about where the water is only about 4ft deep and we docked there among many many other variety of boats. Simply anchor down, turn up your music and you can swim, tan and snack all day long! Just bring plenty of sunscreen! We weren’t expecting this gem to bring so much fun to our stay! The kids still won’t stop talking about it!

For the nightlife down at Chaonia on the weekend, Friday night my boyfriend, brother and his wife decided to head down to the deck which holds the 20+ foot Indian!! They have the deck lined with lights and candles and a karaoke hub set up right on the deck! You can order adult beverages, play pool and hang out listening to music or even get on up there and sing! The workers there have some of their own talent up there singing as well! We had so much fun! The owners hung out with us and even kept it open a little later that one night because we were all having so much fun! (Little did we know all of the workers had to be up bright and early for work at 7, bless their hearts!)
In the little shop (where they literally carry nearly ANYTHING you can think of) they also have a restaurant to order food from which we will indulge in next year! We brought down all of our food to cook and grill this year, but after hearing how wonderful and easy the meals are down there, it will cut back some work for us and make more time for fun utilizing more of the services offered! The staff is simply AMAZING!

I didn’t plan on leaving such a lengthy review, but there was just so much to brag about! Our family can’t wait to go back next year! Yes, we’ve decided it is going to become an annual trip for us for sure!

My boyfriend and I stayed on the campsite here over labor day weekend. The family that runs this place is so nice!! Went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and their son and his friend were beyond helpful with the boat we rented from them. It was such a great getaway.

Nice fully furnished 2 bedroom cabin!! The staff was very nice and helpful!! Ribeye steaks that were excellent!! I'm definitely going back and would recommend this place to anyone that needs to get away for a few days!!

Nice cabins on lake, fireplace, fishing, great food. The new owners make you feel right at home! Best prices for any adventure.

Chaonia Landing Marina is a must for your vacation in southeast Missouri. They have beautiful cabins that overlook the lake, a swimming pool, store, boat rentals and restaurant. Hamburgers, fries, homemade ice cream, and so many more choices for you to choose from! If you're looking for a special night out for dinner, Chaonia Landing also takes reservations on Saturdays for the most amazing steak dinner with Ribeyes that almost cover your whole plate! Friendly staff made my visit the best!!

Best place to stay on Wappapello lake! Has everything you need. Boats, bait, food, supplies, ice, etc... Cabins are basically brand new with updated decor, updated appliances and nice big decks overlooking the lake. Highly recommended place to stay.

I absolutely love this place, it's so relaxing, peaceful, and very clean. I took my mom here this past weekend for her 70the birthday. We arrived early and we we're able to check in early. This is my favorite place to vacation.
