Garner State Park Entrance and Ranger Station

Staff was very friendly, explained me how to get to the location, gave me map, fishing me good day. Such a nice way to make my day.

The most modern park entrance I have encountered in any state park I've visited so far. As you enter the lobby, by the way be sure to have the license plate numbers handy for all vehicles, you will find a "take a number" machine, the place must get super busy!. Once I was buzzed through the locked door I found a row of reception windows. The gal who helped me was very friendly and efficient. Having pre registered my stay online getting into the park was a breeze.

Absolutely love it there!

It was my first time camping at Garner State Park. It was a great experience. The campsite was very spacious and clean. The toilets & shower rooms were kept relatively clean considering the traffic. Love that the park is dog friendly. One recommendation, the markers on the trails need some update. Especially the ones for Old Baldy Trail; some are no longer visible, particularly the ones leading back down the mountain.

Had a great time here, hadnt been in a few years, glad we went back. Water was amazing

Just arriving at Garner State Park's entrance gives you a unique photo opportunity..a huge sign announcement "Garner State Park"..it starts here and the park offers a tremendous adventure of beauty..relaxation..hiking trails.. crystal clear Frio River..wildlife..so many activities.. you'll love the park and the experience and take home awesome happy memories!

I love this park so much. I can't get enough of it. I've been wanting to ask one of the park rangers if there is anyone they work with that is not always in a good mood everyone there is just so nice and friendly I love it

Entrance and registration was very quick this year. Could it be the extremely high temperatures.

Small quiet. Good sized line for day visits. Recommend reserving slot online to guarantee entrance.
