Restaurant 1818

The Restaurant 1818 is a wonderful choice for anyone in Natchez and is especially convenient for guests at Monmouth Home. The restaurant is very beautifully decorated with period furnishings. The atmosphere is great and the food is top notch. The service staff are all first class, very friendly and helpful. The cocktails are excellent and the small lounge to the rear of the restaurant is really nice.

I really enjoy the food here. Yesterday, I enjoyed a mint julep, cream of mushroom soup, baby greens salad with cooked and seasoned shrimp, and the Angus Filet with mashed potatoes and asparagus. I was not disappointed. Dinner exceeded expectations. The atmosphere was that of splendor. The service was outstanding. A dinner like this on the West Coast would be 150% more. I have eaten at 1818 multiple times, and I always look forward to my next visit.

We ate here during our stay at Monmouth Historic Inn and we had a lovely evening. The food was fine, the Old Fashioned was very good (much better than the ones we got before on our trip). Thanks for the great service.

This restaurant is located in a historical antebellum home. The atmosphere in the place is very pleasant and romantic when you’re wanting a nice candle light dinner. The individuals working the night we were there were very pleasant and a joy to speak with. As for the food, you definitely get your money’s worth both in quantity, presentation, and taste. We had the Lamb Lollipops, which were very tender and cooked as requested, Pasta Primavera, which was cooked excellently and definitely filled you up, and then a Bourbon Pecan pie which definitely was good and rich.
Granted each visit may have a different experience, we will be back but based on this visit and experience.

Hands down a must with experiencing this place. The food and the service was superb. Dow & Dai (I hope I spelled that correct) they were so hospitable amd their service was a huge part of the experience. Thank you.

I had Chicken w/ pasta. Husband had ribeye. All was very delicious. Very fancy restaurant. Pleasant hospitality. Also bread pudding was delicious

Valentine's dinner in an old southern mansion. What could be better? Their menu for the night was awesome. Our server was cordial, attentive but not over bothersome. A definite must do when in Natchez MS!

The food was incredible. The service was attentive and fast. The atmosphere and architecture of the home was wonderful and historical.

The only thing I wish was that they didn’t have random lamps plugged in to the corners of the rooms. It’s a small detail, but distracted from the grandiose aesthetic of the historical house.

Make a reservation and enjoy. We were immediately greeted at the door and seated. Our waiter was great. He and another waiter checked on us often. A single candle was lighted to enhance the atmosphere as it was our anniversary. The food was very delicious. We shared an appetizer of gumbo. My wife had chicken with angel hair pasta and I had the grilled pork chop with mashed sweet potatoes and collard greens. Finally, we shared a serving of homemade white chocolate bread pudding with caramel pecan topping. Best bread pudding ever! The experience and service was outstanding and our best dinner meal during our visit. We will definitely return.

You could not ask for more in an upscale restaurant. The service was friendly and unpretentious, but proper. The food was amazing and perfectly prepared. Every single dish served to our table was excellent. Thank you for receiving us on short notice!

Dai Vu was our server and he was absolutely incredible! Super nice and prompt. He gave wonderful suggestions and even took our dessert off the check when he heard it was my birthday. Food was extremely good

My husband and I had a lovely dinner at 1818 a couple of weeks ago. Beautiful dining room, delicious food and excellent service. A really lovely experience.

Such an awesome restaurant. Wife had the ribeye and absolutely loved it. I had the duck and it was amazing. Dai was our server and he took great care of all our needs, nice to talk to as well. I highly recommend trying this one at least once if your in the area.

Just visited Restaurant 1818 over Thanksgiving weekend and loved it! Beautiful historic property is worth the visit alone, but we so enjoyed our delicious meal and friendly engaging service from George. We ordered fried green tomatoes, lamb chops, filet, bread pudding, and pecan pie and highly recommend every dish. Already planning our next visit!

The food is outstanding. I had the ribeye with mushroom sauce and mashed potatoes and my wife had the shrimp and scallops. We started out with fried green tomatoes and crab cakes. Everything was so good.

The service was even better. Very attentive and made us feel as if we were their only customers. There were at least 5 other full tables in the small room we were in.

What an experience! This place was amazing! Definitely a must try.

The restaurant is business casual so you'll need a collared shirt unless you wish to dine in the bar.

We were in town for an event but planned ahead and secured dinner reservations here. Mind the dress code and enjoy some of the finest qfood and hospitality thay Natchez has to offer!
