Riversedge Campground

My husband and I went here w our son and my husband’s friend from KY. Beautiful weather, beautiful setting. Clean, quiet, no riff raff. It is right before the summer however, so maybe it’s diff but our stay couldn’t have been more perfect. I’ve camped on black river for years and this is now my fav place to stay. The employees were very sweet & kind. We did tent camping, and the ground was great/leveled. Linnys is up the road for convenience and even a DG a little ways from it. If you want the party atmosphere this isn’t it (go to bearcats), if you want just a chill relaxing place go here!!! You won’t be disappointed. I’m only sad I didn’t find this place earlier!!! We called on a Friday last minute to book a weekend stay and spoke with Lily. I told her what I was looking for accommodation wise and she was incredibly patient and helpful with making sure the best campsite was booked for my family and I. She even went out of her way to ensure we would be comfortable with our site. Unfortunately since this was a last minute trip we would be arriving a bit later then preferred but Lily stayed a bit later to make sure we arrived safely and was checked in. She was very kind and welcoming even though she had to stay a bit later waiting for us.

Main check-in lodge has a little shop with everything you could need for your trip that you may have forgotten or even just a little treat for the little ones. Also great price on firewood bundles!

Our campsite was clean and very well shaded right on the river. Some of the other sites seemed a bit smaller but are perfect for a simple couple looking to get away from the busy city life. They also appeared to have bigger sites to accommodate families or groups of friends. The views were beautiful and aside from one noisy group it was mostly quiet and peaceful. Yes the bathrooms are not luxurious but I've never been to a campground where they were. Showers are free and get the job done. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked with TP, hand soap and paper towels.

Considering this place is owned and ran by a small family, they do an amazing job of keeping this place an affordable, clean, family friendly experience. We will definitely be back and hope to see Lily and her husband again! Thank you for keeping this place a great vacation spot to create enjoyable memories.

It is always a wonderful experience when I go to this campground. The staff is amazing. Mike the manager there is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Lillie is amazing at running the store, and their helpers Tanner and Adam are extremely hard workers. On whole , amazing place to go. Thank you guys !

The best sites hands down. And the owners went out of there way to make things as comfortable for me as possible. Won't stay anywhere else. And I'm 51 years old and have been going to this river since 1976

We've been there twice so far and have a third planned for this summer. The Black River is beautiful. The campgrounds are mostly shaded. The facilities although old and a little run down, were always clean. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Great place. We'll keep coming back.

To start, the customer service before we even arrived was amazing. I had a ton of questions and Jennifer answered every single one quickly and politely. We had a group of 4 adults and 10 kids all under the age of 13 and rented an electric and primitive site right next to each other. Price was very reasonable, the bathrooms were clean and we had ZERO problems with our stay. If they had no- vacancy during our weekend, then I would say the sites are small however, the beautiful river view, clean bathrooms and friendly fellow campers across the property more than makes up for it. My only suggestion would be to define the various roads with sign names or route colors to get to your site.

Beautiful campground, good roads in the campground, great place for family camping with a play ground area for kids, really laid back staff are always helpful and respectful. Been coming here for 7 years. Directly on the water with a huge beach. Hot free shower houses, camp store for all the things you forgot, and they have bands on Saturday night, and they will air up all your tubes of any kind at the drop off point for free.

My favorite place to camp in Lesterville. Nice quiet campground right on the river. It has decent bathrooms and showers. It had a nice playground for the littles and if you get the right spot you can view the river from your camp site.

The campsites and river are amazing. Best we've been too. I love being that close to the river at campsite. Plenty of wildlife too. But the bathrooms and store really could/need an update. I heard they had new owners so those changes may be coming.

I've camped here for the last 5 years and it is a great family friendly property. We bring our own tubes and "put-in" up river and just float back down to the campsite. Super convenient and I have recommended it to many friends/family.

Love this place!! You can camp right on the river on a few of their campsites. Strange pricing set-up, but worth it! Small store on site for necessities. Free showers.

Super friendly staff, great location on the side of clear Black River. Campgroup is clean and well maintained, we have camped 2 years in a row at Riversedge. Canoes and Kayaks we rented were great.

The campsites on the river are so close you can almost touch the water. Beautiful, relaxing area and a short drive from the main road. Clean, great owners! I love the place, the quiet and the views!

Had a great time here. The Black River is super clean and clear. Some parts of the float can get pretty hairy. But overall it was a great time.

The bus ride is perfect for a day float, and the campground being located at the end of your float is really nice. I would recommend riversedge since it is fairly priced and for it's location.

Best campground in MO because of the close proximity next to the clearest river ever. The ground is soft and not moist so camping here is great! Reasonable prices.

Rust campground, bathrooms are in disrepair and the roads a very rough, camp grounds are jammed on top of each other , but with all that said it got the best spot on the river in lesterville, Missouri

The Black River was GREAT. The water was crystal clear. A GREAT place to swim. Really good for small kid too.
