The Crab Claw

Fun and casual atmosphere. Servers are attentive and polite. The Crabs are fresh, tasty, and plentiful. They have a good menu selection offering a nice selec tion of seafood. There is ample seating and a bar, all with a lovely view.

My wife and I saw this place when we went on the Patriot Cruise tour and decided to check it out. We were definitely pleased with our decision. We sat right on the dock and watched the boats pass as we ate. Great atmosphere! Our service was phenomenal and the food was absolutely amazing. We went with a dozen of the large blue crabs, fried shrimp, fried clam strips, soft shell crabs and we washed it all down with some grapefruit crushed. The blue crabs, although very expensive (125 bucks for a dozen), were some of the best crabs I've ever had. The shrimp and clamp strips were very flavorful and I tried soft shell crabs for the first time. It was different but I enjoyed it. If you're in the St Michael's area you definitely have to give this place a try. Sit out on the dock and enjoy the scenery!

Outside dining was packed. The wait was maybe 45 minutes. So we opted for inside dining. Still not disappointed, because the view was spectacular. Food was good and service was great.

Had a really wonderful experience here for my mom’s 70th. The food was spectacular. The staff was amazing and very attentive. They went above and beyond. By the way their crab dip was probably the best I’ve ever had. This spot is definitely worth your time.

Four of us had a wonderful dinner here last night, at a table alongside the water. Lou was a fantastic waiter, and a significant asset to the restaurant. He was direct but very funny, and clearly enjoyed helping people to have a good evening, so long as they also respected the establishment and those who work at it.

Three of us had XL crabs, perfectly steamed and seasoned, and the other a crab cake sandwich that was plump and meaty, with no excessive binder or filling.

We tied up alongside the restaurant, with Lou’s assistance. Note that you cannot stay tied up overnight, so plan for anchoring out, or secure a spot at the marina.

Anyone that visits the lovely town of Saint Michael’s Maryland must reward themselves with Lunch, Brunch, or Dinner at The Crab Claw. You are greeted as if you are a returning member of the family. Great Classic seafood dishes as well as American Favorites. You won’t be disappointed.

The crab were delicious, and I was glad to have my first Maryland crab experience with some fresh jumbo crabs at the crab claw. The prices are definitely the highest around but I guess you get what you pay for. Cheers.....mom was disappointed in the size of the clams she was given but they were super fresh and I couldn't complain. Order a few pitchers of beer and splurge is the idea.

Nice restaurant right on the water in St. Michaels. We were able to make a reservation & pull the boat right up at their dock. Enjoyed the X-Large crabs that had they had just gotten that morning! Extremely friendly owner & nice wait staff

I have to say the crabs were delicious! I'm from Baltimore and very leary when eating crabs outside the city. These crabs today 9-9-2023 were very tasty and full. No complaints here. The service was great too. I would definitely come back. Our group was a large one (bus trip) they accommodated us very well. The view was beautiful too!

Amazing atmosphere- great seats right on the water. Oysters were HUGE!!! (And delicious). Although I do wish they offered saltines. (Maybe that’s more of a southeastern thing…). Crab was delicious and fresh as well. Great experience and service!

Oh and one of the BEST bloody Mary’s I’ve ever had!!

Perfect crab picking and seafood spot. We arrived at 12:30pm on a Saturday and got a table on the water right away. Had great clams on the half shell and blue crabs.

My first time eating here was 20 years ago this very week. I was so excited to return after all these years and bring my family. Famous for their Maryland Blue Crab. But the atmosphere is the best... Dinner overlooking the dock of the bay! I love how boats can dock so their passengers can dine! Great place!

We took the boat to St Michaels from Annapolis for the first time. The Crab Claw had free boat parking but I do recommend calling ahead. We were lucky because we got there early. Service was fast, food and drinks were good. Fun spot right on the water. Menu prices are really high, but you are paying for the experience. Two tiny fish tacos for 17.95, were just okay. The fried oysters and shrimp cocktail were delicious.

Five Star amazing fine dining with the Best Crabs and dinners you could ever imagine. A true and fine delight. Convenient location, excellent pricing, beautiful views, warm atmosphere. A must enjoy abs come back again restaurant. FIVE Stars and hats off to the great Staff.

This is a great place to eat you can dine in or outside on the water I recommend on the water the view is great . Watch boats pull in and out of the harbor while you eat . The food is fantastic so is the service . I had the seafood sampler it was awesome. Prices are fair dinner and drinks for 2 about 100 dollars.

River was a wonderful waitress for our dockside lunch of the Claws Seafood Sampler.

Blue crab was the best I've had in a long while; partner thought too much Old Bay; I say that's impossible. They give you extra on the side in case somehow that's not enough.

Broiled platter was excellent. Crab cake was top 5% for sure, scallops perfect, the fish was great. Nothing was overcooked.

The place gets busy and the waitstaff a bit overworked, but that's typical for a place like this.

A bit expensive, but I can't blame 'em. Inflation sucks. The food was worth it, a highlight to our Eastern Shore trip.

Delicious oysters and crab cakes! Great service. Sat outside due to covid. Servers all wearing masks. Beautiful spot next to the water. You can watch boats come into the marina.

Awesome *jumbo* crabs, loaded and very tasty! Our waitress Trinity could not possibly have been more cheerful and attentive. Staff was very accommodating getting folks under cover when it started to rain a bit, luckily we were already under cover. Still a great view. Overall one of our best dining experiences in a long time - thank you!!
