Lake Greenwood State Park

Stayed here for the first time after hearing so many positive things from friends so we decided to check it out. We were able to score site number 23 which was full hook up. Talk about a great view! The view of the lake here was spectacular even in the Winter, there were lots of seashells along the water and got some great photos, staff at check in were friendly and helpful and there are lots of areas to explore here, I took pics of some of the other full hook up sites to see, a little bit of a tight squeeze getting out in a bigger rig ours is 40 feet, we will definitely be returning here!

Very peaceful and quiet. Beautiful views specially if you are on the sites next to the water. The bathrooms are outdated. Mismatched toilets and shower hardware and chepo curtains. Could use a little bit more security guard presence specially at night just to give the secure feel since the gates are open 24 hours for anyone to drive up at any time.

This is one of the nicest State Parks we have been to. The Drummond Center is a must to see. We stayed in Campground #1 for 5 days. Lots of fishing and swimming, plenty of places to fish and just get in the water. There are 3 shelters with restroom facilities. The preferred swimming area is down below Shelter 1. Plenty of picnic tables and grills for those that want to cook out. Water is clean, sandy bottoms but do recommend water shoes and a pool noodle or other float device. If you have a boat there is a boat ramp over in Campground #2. Most of those sites are waterfront. Beautiful views around the lake. We visited in Aug 2023 site #97

Lake Greenwood State Park was great. We used to live near Lake Greenwood about 20 years ago. It was great to see the area again. The campground has nice, well groomed sites.

It's a very beautiful spot. I can't wait to go back in February for our first family "winter" camping trip. Today, we just went to look at the campsites and saw 2 blue herons. The water is low, of course, but that still won't deter us from enjoying the lake front spot we reserved!!

This was my first time back since i was a very small child. Had a great time kayaking around the park. MS. Terry at the office was very helpful in explaining the layout of the park and where I could launch my boat. I will be back soon to do some fishing.

Loved our 1st visit at Lake Greenwood! Will definitely be going back. Already have a site reserved for next year.

We camped here for two nights. There are several nice hiking trails. It was raining a bit while we were there, so some of the trails were muddy but still passable. The playgrounds were nice but the bathrooms could use a little upkeep. Kids had fun swimming in the lake.

Beautiful. Peaceful. This is the kind of place that you could visit all by yourself to take a walk and Ponder the beauty of God's creation. Just as easily, the entire family would appreciate the the experiences that are waiting to be had in this nature oasis. I visited for a corporate event and hope I get to return for many more.

Loved the camp sites right on the water. Hiking trails were great along the shore and through the woods. All very nice, definitely recommended.

Beautiful park. Excellent water views! Electric and water hookup. Staff was very helpful and happy. They sell wood there. Bathrooms have showers, not the nicest I have been to, but nice it is available at all ;) pretty sunset! We had site 119. Great spot.

This is a beautiful and quiet state park. The staff was great and incredibly friendly. We stayed here for my birthday and I will definitely be back!! Be sure you have accurate measurements for your RV as some spots are smaller than others. I had no problem getting my 36 foot travel trailer in and set up, but I couldn't have fit into some spots.

I love this spot I was at. I haven't been there in 30 years , me and my great uncle used to fish the lake when I was up visiting family good memories

This is an absolute Jewel for a state park! The walking Trail has a rustic feel to it. It is well kept and maintained. The cost is low for entry. This is one state park that you don't want to miss out on!

My family really enjoyed it! My boys [6 & 10] and husband love to fish and could do so from our lakefront camp site. Caught some nice catfish, bream, and a couple of carp. They also have a playground at one of their shelter sites, which isn't directly in the camp site area but within reasonable walking distance within the state park. Very clean restrooms and showers. Overall, it was a great family-friendly place to camp! . . Pet and golf cart friendly also!

This is a very nice park and camp ground. It was clean and quiet. The bath house was very clean and had the heater running for us 24 hours so you never had a cold shower. Many lots to choose from. Some are full hook up and some are pull through sites. I recommend if you have the chance to drive through first to pick a spot. Some of the sites are very small and can be extremely hard to get in without damaging your rig or lot. The prices were very good. Town is not far if you forget something or need to pick up a meal. This park does have a nice boat ramp and pavilions. I enjoyed it for a 2nd time I'm will be back again.

We love our SC State Parks. We have camped at about half of them. Lake Greenwood ranks, for us, among the top so far. We thoroughly enjoyed the lake, campground, hiking trail, and most of all family time!

Very nice park went down with girlfriend to see her dad for the day it was clean and we'll marked . Sorry for the dark pictures I forgot to take any before it got dark update it is March 23 2022 we are staying for the week I got to explore the whole state park . Wow all kinds of stuff to do from adults to little kids . There's always all ages of kids always playing my fiancees grandkids just joined in . Caught a few fish . Met some people here they were very nice .if you come here the building you check in and out in has the history of this area and lake facts too . Can't wait for next vacation here .
