Friendly staff, clean bathroom and floors, Thursday the hot bar is chicken and dressing and it was amazing. Had the hamburger steak another day and it was delicious. Great place for lunch or dinner. And the prices are still reasonable.

We had never eaten here before but had heard it was good. We both got the special, fried catfish with 2 sides. I got fried green tomatoes and white beans, my mom got white beans and fries. I was honestly shocked when I tasted the white beans. You hardly ever order white beans in a restaurant anymore and find them seasoned! They tasted amazing! The tomatoes were delicious as well. The catfish was perfect and we both agreed that it was some of the best we've had. Our waitress, Faith, was really nice and super helpful with any questions we had. She checked on us several times but didn't annoy us. We asked about dessert and she recommended the banana pudding hands down. She was right! It was delicious. On top of all of this, the price was only $22! And we got 3 pieces of fish, 3 hush puppies, I got 4 fried green tomatoes and a bowl of white beans! My mom got the same with fries in place of the tomatoes. Plus an order of banana pudding! Incredible!

We love the hometown vibe with very friendly staff and excellent food. Whether we go for lunch or dinner the service or the food never disappoints. So good we go at least once per week. Our granddaughter recommends the bacon cheese burger, she says it beats all others around.

Best food in DeKalb County. The owner John Kilgore and his staff are amazing. Me and my family eat here often. Rather you get the Sunday Skillet Chicken Strip Platter Chicken Tacos or Monterey Chicken you cant go wrong! Just make sure to get you a loaded baked potato and a delicious piece of homemade pie. You'll love it.

We love this place. Don't drive there (yet) for date night but do make sure we stop when we do pass it going home from a daughter's house.

For a local restaurant, Kilgore's provides good food, selection and pleasant environment. We had great service and the Catfish was Delish👍.

Stoped on our way through Smithville stoped at Kilgore's to eat and boy did they knock it out of the ball park the food and service was fabulous .i highly recommend it and the prices were really great. Thanks to all the lady's there.

Service is excellent and it is the Best catfish and hush puppies we have had in a long time. Well worth the journey from Viola TN.

They greet you as you enter, and are directed over to food counter where you select what goes on you plate. Nice people home town cooking.

Enjoyed a catfish meal with two sides... They had a special of a choice of catfish with Cajun spices or battered and fried catfish... we tried both and enjoyed them. The restaurant is fairly plain but the food is great. Trudie was our server... very friendly and helpful.

Kilgore’s is a fantastic meat and three place with great service and down home flavor. The catfish is always a great choice.

I got the food through the drive thru. I got chicken and dressing, mac n cheese, and green beans. Everything was delicious with one exception, the cornbread which was disappointing. It was tasteless and dry. Besides that I would definitely suggest this place. They have daily specials as well as a full menu and prices are decent.

One of the best meat and 3's we've ever had. Definitely will come back when we come in town again. Great service even for coming in 45 mins til closing.

Food was great and service was as well. Wonderful food with great prices and a very friendly atmosphere. I’m from out of town and just found this place, but I will definitely be back here to eat again the next time I’m in town!

They cooking those chicken on a stick too crispy these days need ol John bk in there frying them up personally lol other than that food is freak service is awesome atmosphere relaxed and clean. I've loved kilgores since the original location and stay a dedicated fan.

This is the place for a great meal! I had beef tips, baked potato and side salad... The tips were tender and seasoned wonderfully. The potato was hot and fresh, and the side salad was crispy, fresh with just the right amount of everything! My husband enjoyed his grilled catfish with the same sides as I had. This place is friendly, clean and knows how to take care of a crowd as people started pouring in after 5! Job well done, Kilgore's! Oh and the prices were great!
