spent 3 nights here tents camping. real quiet place, we went in the middle of the week but there were no other campers in the whole area the entire stay. We camped close to the boat launch and over the entire stay 7 or 8 boaters/fishers came and went. The whole area was well kept and clean and Nicholas, the host/ area manager i believe was responsible for the immaculate upkeep. real nice guy for what it’s worth and very knowledgeable about the area.

Cedar Lake is a beautiful lake with beautiful pine trees around the lake. The air is clean and fresh. They have a swimming area, areas to fish from the bank to fishing from boats. They have great camping areas with clean restrooms. All in all, very nice place to take your family

Great place for camping and hiking. Quiet and little traffic. Camp host who was super friendly and helpful is located in Shady Beach camp area. All three areas are nice and have multiple very clean bathrooms and showers. Everyone involved with the park has done a phenomenal job in keeping the park clean and well taken care of.

What a great find. Cedar Lake South Shore campground is amazing. RV site was paved, including the patio area with water and electric, was only $20 a night. With the Interagency Senior pass, $10. Very well maintained park. Look forward to stopping here again!

Multiple types of camping here from Class A pull-thru to travel trailers down to primitive sites. I chose a "Sandy Beach" tent site (#39) with water and electric. Daily fees for such a site is (currently) $20/day, self-pay at a drop box. Bathrooms were close and actually had a couple of working showers with warm-ish water (not hot like you get at home). Equestrian trails are nearby and there were plenty of SXS campers in the other sites. Swimming areas are a very quick walk away and there are covered day-use picnic areas as well. Of my time spent in the Ouachita National Forest, this is one of the best spots for tent camping where you need electrical outlets. (Also check out Shady Lake in Arkansas, but recent prescribed burns have tainted it a bit.)

Met the hosts, I believe their names were Janie and Michael. Very cheap, very beautiful, and very great site! The hosts came by and said hello and answered done questions about the area. I'll definitely be back!

As of December 2020, campground is still in process of repairs and sewer and septic upgrades. Equestrian area is open and in good condition. Spent one night here in my truck and was able to plug in a space heater and have use of the heated bathroom and hot shower. Camp host was very friendly and helpful.

We tent-camped in the North Shore campground. We thought it was the most beautiful of the three campgrounds. The other two had electricity. We were fine without it (charged our phones in the bathroom outlets since we were the only campers in the whole place). Site right by the water, right next to a trail, surrounded by pines and oaks. We loved it.

Very beautiful, secluded, good swimming & fishing. Great camping. Pet friendly. & only 10-15 min at most from nearest city/town so pretty convenient. You get some cell service with AT&T (& I’ve heard great service for Verizon) which is enough for me. I love how it’s a hidden gym nestled between two mountains.

More trails than you can ride in 2or3 days. We ride out of camp after breakfast and return just before dark. We returned late one afternoon and were on the wrong trail and were lost. So i gave my horse his head and he took us back to our trailer. ( in the opposite direction we were going)

One of my all time favorite lakes ever. It is secluded, incredibly beautiful, and the fishing is great. There are plenty of camping spots, horseback riding trails, hiking trails, and even places for a family get together to grill out.

The swimming area is small but it is nice with an artificial beach. I'd recommend this place to anyone passing through.
