Five stars isn't enough for this place. Great food, great service, and come on you're eating in an old train car so the atmosphere is off the charts cool. This is the perfect Oklahoma road trip hidden gem. The best homemade cheesecake I've ever had.

We loved eating here. I got the catfish fingers and my husband got the Southern Belle fried chicken. Both plates come with 2 sides and hush puppies and roll. Our food was delicious!

The salad bar was used as one of our sides it was delicious too! Fresh produce, wonderful dressings, pasta salads, etc. Great service and food in a very charming rail car.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Southern Belle Restaurant! The food was hot and fresh, full of flavor and good to the last bite! It was prepared and delivered in a fairly quick amount of time, and the service was great! The staff was very friendly and attentive. The dining room is inside a restored passenger car of the Kansas City Southern railroad from days gone. If you’re a train enthusiast or just looking for a good meal, stop by and give them a try! I should’ve stopped in years ago. I will definitely be back in the future when I’m in the area.

We took the scenic route back home from Fayetteville, AR and ran across this gem of a cafe in Heavener, OK. Its unique look and crowded parking lot convinced us to turn around and give it a try. Who wouldn’t want to eat in a dining rail car from another era??
Friendly folks were quick to welcome us aboard and settle us in for lunch as though we were family. I chose a steaming roast beef plate and with a delicious brown gravy and smashed taters to follow a trip to a well stocked salad bar. The selections of southern style comfort foods were many and every plate being served around us looked very appetizing. This is one of those small town diners that are getting hard to find as corporate chains dominate the landscape.
We’re happy we took the long way home and found the Southern Belle Restaurant beside the tracks in Heavener! My only regret is that I passed on the homemade pie. What a treat that would have been to enjoy at one of the scenic overlooks up the road. … There’s comfort in knowing I can correct that omission when we come this way again.

Great find as we traveled down the highway! The name appealed to us but the restaurant in a restored 1905 train car was just as good as the food. I had Deb’s Special (delicious chicken strip & perfectly fried fish strip), sweet potato & salad bar. Salad bar was fresh with lots of choices & the house dressing was also their special dipping sauce for the fish (yummy good!). My wife had hot beef sandwich and it was moist & tasty with rich brown gravy. Her green beans were flavored with garlic and very good. Try this place out, you’ll have a great meal!

Wow! I mean wow! I got the "Chicken and Shrimp"... And that was the best fried chicken I have ever had. That is no lie! (And trust me I have had a lot of fried chicken in my life 😂) The shrimp was amazing too! And the whole "Eating in a Train" experience was awesome! Was a little pricey, but trust me, it is definitely worth it!

One of my favorite restaurants. It is in a historic railway car. The food is amazing and the staff are very professional. I drive an hour just to eat there every other week.

Absolutely wonderful; been about 10 years since I went prior, and even better than I remember. Belle is a refurbished train car, with a nice interior and wonderful food. Definitely recommend!

This place came highly recommended, and we were not disappointed! The salad bar and chicken fried chicken were my absolute favorites and truly delicious. I didn't love the pot roast. It was super cute, and the servers were friendly and efficient.

Food is delicious southern kitchen. Preferred the catfish over the chicken and their baked potatoes are well loaded and cheesed up. Salad bar is fresh and clean (they provide a disposable glove, only one trip allowed). Prices are fair and the train is quaint and well restored. Service is friendly and they are quite efficient at getting food out. It comes nice and hot.

Pies are awesome. I had strawberry. Not too sweet, fresh and crusty was flakey and airy and delicious.

Restrooms are clean, dining area is obviously a little tight, but not uncomfortable even for a large guy like me.

What a cute place! Best chicken tenders I've had in ages. Service fantastic. Locals seem to frequent... Always a good sign.

This place is so cool. It is in an old WW2 train car. The food was fantastic. I highly recommend the stuffed shrimp and the ribeye steak. The salad bar is good too. I will definitely be going back.

After visiting Runestone Park, my girlfriend and I were recommended to go here. The staff was exceptional and the food was absolutely delicious. Whoever does the frying here does it right. I didn't have a drop of fryer grease on the plate. I ordered the SDC sandwich (chicken sandwich) with onion rings, and my girlfriend got the bacon cheeseburger with french fries. The food itself was cooked perfect. I don't find myself burping up the grease, like I do with many places that fry their food. I don't feel bloated either.

The atmosphere of being inside a railcar is also very warm and inviting. Awesome experience for us. Thank you.

My wife that Southern Belle had the best chicken strips in all of Oklahoma. So her being a chicken strip lover and my love of trains we made the 3 hour 45 minute drive one way to find out. The food was very good and the atmosphere was amazing. The staff was very helpful and tentative to put needs. The even should pictures of the train car restoration. We will definitely be coming back in the future.

Very cool atmosphere to eat. Food was excellent. Service was great. Went at the busy lunch hour, and only waited, at most, 3 minutes to be seated.

Excellent food. We had chicken fried steak and catfish. For desert I fresh made strawberry pie. The venue is worth the trip but the price tops it off

Refurbished 1940s railcar turned into a diner. The food was literally some of the best I've ever had! Salad bar, southern Belle Chicken, house dressing was so tasty. Catfish was so good no need for sauce. Homemade pies and cheese cakes to die for! I even got a t-shirt! Definitely coming back again and the waitresses were friendly and amazing!

This is a special gem 💎. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. Our server was awesome. We will definitely be back. As you see in the photo, they are busy. I highly recommend this place if your ever in Heavener.

Neat little restaurant. The food is fresh and delicious. Although the dinners are smaller portions, the homemade desserts fill the gap without the misery of a huge meal.
