Lobo Del Mar Cafe

100% recommend. I just came here on a whim and sat outside on the deck. Coconut shrimp was amazing and prices were cheap. Along with my Bloody Mary my table was like $17. All food is homemade. Service was also great.

Love this place! Spent a week in Padre and not only did a lot of the activities they offer, but the food and atmosphere were amazing. Susie was so sweet and made our drinks perfectly. Can’t wait to come back!

Great place for happy hour. Nice beach bar facing west for a beautiful sunset. We had wings and they were amazing! Happy hour prices were very good.

Love this place. Saw the reviews and de idea to give it a shot. We were not disappointed. The food menu was awesome, orange juice is normal size, not the giant ones that you can't drink lol. We have been twice this trip and will go again tomorrow.

Our server was great, he brought some humor to our visit. I was very glad I spoke with the bartender earlier in the day, she recommended the nachos but warned that they are a very large portion for the full order, even the half could easily be the meal for 2 to 3 people. She was not wrong, they were great and a huge portion. I enjoyed the special, cod and shrimp that they made blackened. For the price, it was also a good size.

Went in for a light meal, wanting a nice view. Sun was pretty intense. They easily moved us to a bigger table that had more shade. Kudos to the server, we didn't get any angry looks that we "only" wanted some nachos to share and no alcoholic drinks. I don't feel bad for taking up a big table because I know I overtip to compensate any lost business, but there's no way for a server to know upfront, so it's great when service is still above and beyond. Well, that "light snack?" Joke's on us, those nachos are the most nachos ever. All nachos should be measured by Lobo del Mar standard. There's no hunting for beans, cheese or sour cream. We ordered beef and there was plenty of it. In hindsight, I think the shrimp would have also paired deliciously. There was tons of onion, tomato and cilantro to bring out a crisp, fresh flavor. Tortilla chips are probably made in house they tasted so fresh and crisp. Three of us shared this mountain of food, we ended up stuffing ourselves, something we were trying to avoid, and still got leftovers. Patio is pretty friendly, bathrooms are CLEAN, everyone was friendly and this is a place to frequent.

The atmosphere is INCREDIBLE! We LOVE the house band. We only just discovered this gem of a place 2 months ago and already feel we can walk in, and everybody knows our names. The food is great. Service is top-notch. Happy Hour drinks are great quality for a low price.

We went here for the sunset view and we weren't disappointed. Food was great. Waitress was friendly and fun. We had a few small issues with cold soup, wrong drink, and a dirty cup, but all were fixed quickly. Would definitely go here again! Pictures are Seafood Soup, Pastrami Burger, Lobo Salad with grilled chicken, and Fish Tacos.

Highly recommended! We went around 630pm on a Monday, and we were seated immediately. Our waiter Larry was very attentive and cool. The food was exceptional! Everything we ordered was amazing! If you’re in SPI, the first place to stop at…well after the gorgeous beach. 😊

This is my go to spot for bfast. The breakfast is always spot on and the outside is dog friendly so I can enjoy the pretty ocean view with my fur baby. My favorite meal is the huevos rancheros. 10/10

Best restaurant ever!!! First of all, awesome location on the bay. Next, it's pro-Trump and proud to admit it. Love seeing the patriotism! They had an awesome band the night we went who took requests and I got to dance. You could tell a lot of locals frequent this place. the food was incredible and our waitress was delightful. It was the highlight of our family vacation and we can't say enough nice things about this place. Thank you for the experience!

Came here for happy hour since we could bring our newly adopted Blue Heeler with us on the patio. The staff were amazing and brought him ice water to drink and gave him loves. The drinks were fantastic and the food was so tasty. Would definitely recommend this spot to anyone.

Larry was a warm welcome for 2 weary travelers! His service alone would've been 5 star worthy then he brought the delectable food to the table!!!

I had their highly regarded coconut shrimp with a mixed green salad topped crumbled feta and opted for the the garlic vinaigrette to dress.... it was like biting into a piece of heaven with every, single morsel!!!

The prices were really reasonable for such a fine fare.

We were moments of arriving into town from 1,000 miles away, we heard repeatedly about the restaurant from various content creators for South Padres Island Must-Sees YouTube videos and
this cozy yet scenic eatery did not disappoint AT ALL. This is our 1st time here, we highly recommend this rare gem to visitors as a have-to-go restuarant you won't be disappointed!!!

Wonderful ending to our wk in S padre island with our rv . Reviews & pics looked yummy. Went ~ 4 pm & caught the HH $5 frozen margarita & hubby had the raspberry iced tea ( both were so good). Our waiter Jesus was so nice & welcoming & we couldn’t have been more pampered. The blackened fish tacos with onion rings were the best I’ve ever had & hubbies fried shrimp & fries were also very good. The chocolate cake ( I only had 3 bites before hubby ate it all) was an overload of flavors moistness & tummy happiness 🏖 Can’t beat the vibe /music/friendliness of this restaurant & we’ll definitely be back next yr !!!!

Aint been here in a few months, so here we are again. Updated menu, different kitchen staff possibly? 01/26/24. Winter Texans have arrived and are in full swing. The parking lot is a geography lesson!The Food and Service can be hit N miss but is 95% Correct and tasty. This restaurant is Right leaning and unafraid to show it. If you have a love for JoeNtheHo, maybe you should eat elsewhere. (You won't be missed) Just know what you're getting into before you arrive!! ( Where is the Army Flag I gave you? ) Plotted. Scouts forward of BP.

We went bay fishing Saturday morning and then the restaurant took our cleaned fish and made them into fish tacos for us. They were amazing! So good. We ate on those tacos for the next two days. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere right on the water is really nice. Restrooms were clean and super cold which felt good when coming in from being out on the boat.

The food is good and the view is a great! The service was also really good. I had the fish & chips with the beer battered shrimp. It was really good. I normally don’t eat seafood but I wanted to try something different. I wasn’t disappointed. And our server Mary was great! She was always on point.

Have lunch right on the golf bay. Daily lunch specials, cheap! You can sit inside or out. Yummy pinecolada! A good menu for selections of food. A great local bar and restaurant to visit and see.

Seated immediately at approximately 5:30. Good service.
We had cocktails before our meal. We dined on the seafood platter and the strawberry salad with grilled shrimp.
Lobo Del Mar is always one of our choices for a meal when we visit SPI.
We did not stay for the sunset this time but I recommend doing so if possible.

There were only 3 servers. We sat but I went and got a waitress nicely then her service was spot on. She looked worn out but maybe worked all weekend. The bisque was great and the strawberry spinach salad with grilled shrimp was sooper! Loved it and had to take half of it with me. Ordered caramel cheesecake to go and ate it all! Soo good.
