Chicken Box

This is going to be a biased review. My family has enjoyed the Chicken Box for over 40 years. When I heard the original location was no longer in business I was crushed. However, to see that there is a newer location brought joy to my heart.

The taste was just as I remembered. Fried chicken, gizzards, wings...it's all still available. I want a shirt next time! The service was personal. They take pride in knowing you and are not afraid to start a conversation with you. The food was fresh and prepared well with the spices I was familiar with. There was ample space inside to sit down and everyone was happy.

Nostalgia aside, this is good chicken! Unique in taste and options. Service is great and the same as it was 40 years ago..."real". Real people putting their heart and soul into what they love. It doesn't get any better than that!

Korean options were great.

Mandoos were awesome and i could have had a whole meal of just those.

Bulgogi spicy pork really tasty could have been spicier imo

Bibimbap was good. I would recommend asking if they have an extra gochujang sauce. It needs just a little more flavor than the little container they give you for that much rice.

Great food ! Loved the dipped chicken

This place isn't much to look at on the outside but there food is amazing. The meat has so much flavor. I would definitely recommend the beef bulgogi.

I have gone here a few times and my meals have always been good. I had my best meal the last visit I made. I am a big fan of Korean food and always order Korean dish. I enjoyed the meal very much. If you like Korean food I suggest you give it try and try their kimbap...it's very good!

About $3-$6 for fried chicken, it isn't overpriced. It's pretty good quality too. Only complaint is that the chicken comes unseasoned, but I usually do take out, and just put stuff on it at home. They have an option to dip it in some sort of kimchi sauce, but I just get it plain. The frying powder has good flavor. The Korean side of things can be a tad more expensive, but it's still pretty good. I have no problem splurging and getting a $10 beef bulgogi once in a while. Two things to note, the drinks are quite big for the price. It's probably cheaper to get a gallon jug of tea at dollar general, so I usually don't get any, but once I did, and I was pleasantly surprised. The banana pudding is pretty good here as well, I sometimes get that too.

This place is incredible!!! Family owned by the sweetest people. They have a large selection of food but of course their chicken is the best! So many sides to choose from as well! It doesn't matter what time you go, this place is booming. Friendly fast nice service! You will not be disappointed!

The dipped chicken is the best, but the wait times are long, even at a slow time.

New owners took over and they are amazing! Chicken is so good, chicken fried steak is big and delicious. Cabbage is so flavorful and they have some of the best banana pudding i have ever tasted!! 5 Stars!

Was happy to see this place still open. Ordered the gizzard/liver combo dipped. Trust me dipped makes all the difference. Was very tasty and not over cooked. I noticed they have a nice selection of Asian food as well. Will be back to try those in the near future.

This place is the absolute best. The chicken tenders are on point. And any of the fried rice dishes are supreme. I will go here any day of the week no question.

I love their chicken and their fried okra!

This is a long standing institution in Wichita Falls. While it's not the Original Chicken Box, it has been consistently great for decades. The go-to item is "dipped" Fried chicken gizzards. Dipped refers to the pickled jalapeno juice they'll pour over whatever you want.

Its was good when I first tasted it. Hot and fresh to order livers and dipping was good. Second time back nooo the dipping was nasty tasted old and not good at all. But I hope they served rolls next time..

Always have the best fried chicken wings I have ever eaten. Will be dining on some tomorrow. Yummy!

If you are ever in Wichita Falls you have to stop in this place. You have to get the dipped wings or liver or gizzards or chicken. The dip sauce is very very watery but it is very very good. Just make sure not to actually eat any of the peppers then they land on your food from the sauce. You will definitely regret this. All the other food is very good too.

The chicken tenders were huge and moist. The side order of tater tots covered half the plate. Husband had Korean bar b q and he said it was the best he has ever eaten. He even put The Chicken Box on his favorite places to eat.

Just finished eating at the Chicken Box and all I can say is, "OMG!!", it was the best dinner I've had in ages! I never really liked chicken livers but they were the best I've ever had in my life! Sorry mom! I recommend the Chicken Box to everyone. Best chicken, best livers and gizzards anywhere around along with very friendly personal. I'll be back again and again!

Awesome food! I tried the Korean food for the first time. It was amazing.

I dropped by there yesterday, hadn't had my fix of dipped gizzards in a bit. Service was fast, and WOW is the dipped chicken hot!. Nice and fresh, just the way it should be. Been going there since the early 90's
