The first time we wanted something different
And it was my husband had some kind of burger and then we shared fried Green tomatoes for the App was very good I had never had any I thought they were going to be bad. I had fried apples and bread pudding mini waffles I had never had bread pudding before and I expected this to be so sweet when I saw it but it was delicious.

A wonderful little hole in the wall place. Fried green tomatoes are excellent. Mushroom and Swiss burger is excellent. BLFGT sandwiches are AMAZING. Biscuits and gravy. yum! French fries are perfect. Onion rings were great too. They are so friendly! Amber was so friendly and helpful! They have little signs all around that are hilarious and inspirational. A wonderful dining experience!!!

You don't have to like bread pudding to absolutely love the Bread Pudding Waffles! In fact, I hate bread pudding so when I tell you I'm gonna be thinking about these waffles all the way back home in Kansas, please believe me! (We ordered the minis and shared) Phyllis was our server and she was as sweet as the maple butter on the Waffles! Everything else we had was just as good, the sausage patty had a bit of spice and the hash brown casserole was yummy!

This is the best place in town for breakfast! Delicious food that’s served quickly and is affordable. The bread pudding waffles and Scotch eggs are a must!

We had an amazing Sunday brunch here! The bread pudding waffle was the best waffle I’ve ever had and the scotch egg was the best ever too! Service was excellent. Coffee was great.
Street parking was easy.

My husband and I decided to try this place for the first time today and we were more than pleasantly surprised! Our server Amber was absolutely the definition of "best server ever" she was so kind and friendly and had a beautiful smile that was definitely contagious! She was attentive, had great recommendations, and was on top of keeping up on our drinks. The food came out efficiently and just looked mouth watering! My husband and I shared the eggscaliburger and some onion rings, it was the perfect amount for us to split. We didn't realize at the time but they were a half hour from closing and not once did our server mention it or treat us like she was in a rush to leave. This little cafe is a diamond in the rough and has precious gems working there! We could not be happier with our experience! We have traveled to over half of the United States and eaten at many wonderful restaurants but this one falls in our top 10 easily and since it is in our hometown we will most definitely be back and bring friends and family whenever possible! Thank y'all so much for an exceptional experience and a special thank you to Miss Amber for being amazing! Stay awesome girl and we loved your vibe! Don't ever change!

Delicious. We had chicken and waffles Benedict. Chicken was moist and perfectly flavored and breaded. Some of the best chicken tenders I've ever had. Waffles were moist and very well flavored. The scotch egg meal was out of this world. We had onion rings with it. I know its odd for breakfast, but these rings were beer battered and fried to perfection. The biscuits and gravy were good. The gravy had a thyme or rosemary undertone. The server was friendly and welcoming. The hostess was the highlight. It is her birthday today! Happy birthday!

One of my favorite places to go and also one of my favorite places to take people. Been going there for years now. Food never disappoints. I highly recommend the Chicken and waffles Benedict, the bread pudding waffles and the scotch eggs. They also have great mac n cheese, amazing hash brown casserole, delicious biscuits and gravy and their burgers are always good. The staff is always very friendly and personable and I always enjoy my exchanges with them.

Excellent food with great service. The location is in the middle of the historic district and it is a bit of a hole in the wall kind of place. Portions are great and the taste very good. Will be going back next time I make it there. It was my first time to try their food.

I eat here as a little treat to myself at least twice a month. My fave is the C & W Benny (I get the bread pudding waffle) you will not be disappointed.

If you want something different, but not far from traditional diner fare, this is the place for you.
The food is great, and nearly everything on the menu looks familiar, but has a slightly different twist than what you get everywhere else.
I prefer breakfast offerings over the lunch, but they are all great.
The staff is friendly, quick and delightful. If you have never eaten at Gold Rush Cafe, I highly recommend you try them, especially for Brunch.
I'm not a fan of bread pudding, but I just tried theirs, which is made with donuts from Red's Donuts (a donut shop in Paducah, and, IMO, the best)... I will order the bread pudding again, it's amazing.

Really Good Food: unique and scrumptious recipes crafted with flare. The Bread Pudding Waffles are worth stopping for -- and the Scotch Eggs too. They use fresh, quality, ingredients and you can taste it.
Our server was cheerful, helpful, and kept us supplied with coffee.
I know why Gold Rush is so popular. Highly recommended.

A quaint brunch eatery with a great selection of classic menu items. The scotch eggs are world class, and the bread pudding waffle is something of a specialty for this restaurant. However, seating will certainly take a bit.

Thoroughly enjoyed this place! The ambiance is so fun, the signs are fun to read, the servers made our experience so much fun! The playfully insulted my husband and it was Flippin hilarious! (My husband invited it and enjoys the playful banter). What a wonderful experience!

Driving by Paducah on vacation and wanted to eat local in old downtown. GPS lead me past several historic markers and beautiful old homes. That was a nice bonus and helped break up the monotony of the interstate. I wanted a hearty, high protein breakfast, so I ordered the rolled omelet. For my 2 sides, I got cottage cheese and tater tots. The cottage cheese was served in a chilled bowl and the tots were crispy! Service was fast and friendly. I would definitely eat here again!

Excellent service and delicious food. I had the Golden Eggs with half biscuit and gravy. My first time having a Scotch Egg. I'm not a fan but that's a personal preference. The gravy and biscuit was the best restaurant gravy I have ever had. Rates right up there with my own. I'm hard to please when it comes to gravy. My husband had Annie Oakley breakfast. Two eggs, biscuits and gravy and hashbrowns. We enjoyed it so much we are going back tomorrow before going home.

You got to try the bread pudding French toast! We also had a little piggy omelette which was delicious! The service was fast and friendly, it is an older restaurant but very clean.
