Altamont Motel

My car broke down in Altamont Illinois. I found a garage that could repair my vehicle. Across the street from the garage was the Altamont motel. Being that I had to wait a few days for the part. I inquired about lodging.The hostess Abby, was both accommodating and friendly. The manager Billy Jo and her husband were very helpful with finding my way around a strange town.The room was small but clean. I would rather stay here than a chain hotel anytime. The price is half what the chain motels.Again thumbs up to Abby and Billy Jo.

I had a friend of mine come into town and went to see her at this motel and it was very clean I know they just remodeled like 2 years ago or so so it was very clean on the inside and I didn't have any complaints and neither did my friend so

All local hotels was full and we thought one night would be ok. Take my advice, SLEEP IN YOUR CAR!!!! Literally roaches everywhere we stayed maybe 20 minutes and left. The car was far better to be in for the night

The gentleman who checked me in was very nice. My key card did not want to work and finally after 3 times he got it to work. The room was somewhat small but it came with a microwave and fridge which I wasn't expecting. The only complaints about the room is that there was now light in the shower and the hair dryer did not want to work. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would absolutely stay here again if I was in the area for anything.

My Husband and I have lived here Since December 27th 2022, The owners here R AWESOMELY GREAT PEOPLE, VERY CARING AND HELPFUL, THIS IS THE BEST MOTEL N ALTAMONT ILLINOIS.... HIGHLY RECOMMEND........

On our way home from across country road trip we unfortunately had a car accident. We were low on cash 8 hrs from home w 2 puppies and wouldn't have money to fix car for several days. The police officer dropped us off here. We deal
t defeated until we meet the motel manager. He went out of his way to help accommodate us and even helped with the puppies. One of which he calls his own now. The room was amazingly clean. Cleaner than any other $40 night motel. We had called the motel up the road and the typical $40 night motel treatment was quickly received a man yelling demanding crazy prices in broken language with no care to listen and try to work with potential customers. With out this man the altamont would just be another cheap motel but with him
This motel is much more and feels like home. ❤❤❤❤❤

one of the best hotels in the United States that I have stayed at very reasonable prices the gentleman that runs it could not be better if he tried great guy rooms were clean and efficient with up-to-date appliances microwave refrigerator. Flat screen.. great price... Right next to the gas station for coffee.. would definitely recommend

This place will always have a special place in my heart. Not bc it's extremely clean, fairly priced and within walking distance to essentials. Because of the man who runs it. We stumbled upon this place after a car crash on our way home. We were 8 hrs from home with 2 puppies and $40 and 2 days until pay day. We were stranded. But this angel of a man took more than amazing care of us. He cared for our pups..one which is now his and renewed our faith in humanity.

Dated rooms, but family ran. Great price and everything worked incredibly! Would recommend anyone to stay here! They even had a little kitchenette in our room with a stove and oven, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and hair dryer 😉 Staff is incredible and it was a VERY friendly little town!

I realize this is a small town it's not a part of some gigantic super chain of hotels, but these people are nice and they have nice TVs and super fast internet. They will take care of your needs, all you have to do is ask. I know is not what you expect at the big hotels but seriously what do do you expect at these rates. I have seen bigger hotels who charge more and don't even come close to what they offer. But if you need to be pampered this isn't the place for you, but if you look for good price and good internet and quiet relaxation this is it

The rooms are clean and quiet. The employees were easygoing and very helpful. It was a wonderful stay and recommend it to anyone needing a place to stay.

Nice little motel, clean rooms and friendly staff! Very reasonable price, Air conditioning, high speed internet, flat screen TV's with HBO, what more could I ask for.

Prime location in the center of town! Looks like the beds and sheets are brand new, surprised me by the quality of this small motel.
