Fantastic mechanic and a wonderful person to work with. Josh went above and beyond to help me out with my punctured tire. I cannot recommend this garage enough!

I took a quick trip to Davis, WV last week to celebrate my birthday at the beautiful Blackwater Falls State Park. After venturing in an area of nearby Thomas, I thought I had completely ruined the undercarriage of my car! My check engine light came on and I quickly found JD Automotive AND SO GLAD I DID!!!!

The owner, Josh Dishman, was incredibly helpful and friendly. He is very knowledgeable about cars and I made sure to listen and learn from him.

After pulling the check engine code, he assured me that my car was actually okay to drive back to VA. So grateful I found this gem of a place in the quaint town of Davis!

Coming up to the top of the mountain just east of town, our engine blew out. We got towed to Josh based on the reviews and I immediately appreciated the high degree of honesty, good communication, and willingness to consider different options. We worked together in finding a JDM engine, which I had shipped to the shop. Josh and the guys at the shop took the extra time to transfer the better parts from the old engine onto the new one. To top it all off, Josh thought to ask a flatbed who happened to be towing a car to a destination close to me if our car could be added to the tow. That saved me a ton of time and money getting back out there to get the car. The car now runs great and I couldn't be happier with quality of the work and the friendliness of Josh while he serviced our car. Highly recommended for any service needs your car may need if you are in the Davis area.

Had a problem with my brakes that was more serious than I was aware of being the novice that I am. Josh looked at the truck on Wednesday, ordered the parts immediately and fixed my brakes the next day. Did a great job at a fair price. I’m visiting the area and can now return home confident in my vehicle.

I met Josh because I had a screw in my tire as I was traveling through the area. Even though he was closing he helped us out got us back on the road safely. He’s knowledgeable listens and seems to love what he does. As we travel there often we plan to have others automotive service done with him. We trust our cars to get us where we need to go and therefore having an auto mechanic that we trust is paramount.

Josh made room in his busy schedule to aid me, an out of towner, with a flat. No way I'm making it home without him. Fast and efficient repair for a very fair price. This is your go to repair guy!

I ended up having my spare tire give out in Davis as i was driving back from Charleston WV to Fairfax VA. Despite the fact that it was past opening hours (they had closed an hour earlier but happened to still be around) Josh and his crew helped me out and went to great lengths to put me back on the road. They ended up fixing the spare (the original tire and rim were beyond repair) in about an hour's time after trying unsuccessfully to find replacement spares locally. Josh and JD Automotive exemplify what good customer service is and clearly embrace the value of helping others. I am grateful for how they conducted themselves, and can without any hesitation recommend their services to anyone and everyone. Thanks Josh!

We had a car issue while on vacation and needed a place to go. So glad we stopped here. Josh from JD quickly took the van in and figured out the problem and fixed it asap, he is super quick and honest. He will be our new go to mechanic any time we are in the area.

JD Automotive is amazing! I bought a 2012 gmc in april and immediately had transmission issues. I returned it to the dealer and was told they didn't know what was wrong with it! Took it to another mechanic and got the same answer. Took it to josh and within a week my vehicle was not only diagnosed but fixed!!! For an amazing price!! Best mechanic in town! Don't even bother going anywhere else. Josh has the experience and knowledge to get the job done right!

I made it back to TN safely thanks to the nicest guys at JD Automotive. My tire had a small slow leak around my rim and they took the time to make me feel comfortable and by sealing it up I felt safe driving home. Highly recommend!

Awesome help! My car issue was small, but got taken care of so quickly. Josh and coworkers were so helpful and easy to interact with.

I was visiting a local ski resort when I got a check engine light. When I did a search for auto shops, JDs had a 4.9 so I went there.

JD was awesome. He stopped what he was working on to hook up my car to his OBD sensor. He asked a lot of questions to rule out what were old codes and it came down to my mass airflow sensor. He was able to explain it all to a dummy like me and I just felt I could trust him.

If I need work done in the future and have a trip planned for this area of WV, I would consider holding it until I can see JD again.

Josh at JD automotive was a lifesaver! After a long uneventful drive from Michigan, the next day (Sunday) the car had MAJOR issues. Josh was helpful, kind, patient and most of all willing to help. I was camping at Blackwater Falls and due to my lack of preparedness needed to replace my rear breaks. Not only was JD Automotive very close, I was able to get serviced within the day. Josh did a great job, I would absolutely recommend him if you’re in the area and need a “quick” fix. (Vehicle was a Mazda CX-5).

Had to come in to get a punctured tire fixed. They were extremely quick to get our tire patched and even serviced the air pressure in the other three tires at no cost. Staff were very friendly and chatted with us the entire time. Great service.

Had a leaking tire and they plugged it and had me out of there in less than 30 minutes. Super nice guys. Definitely recommend.

On our way heading down to a vacation on timberline mountain me and my buddy's car broke down. We were close to Hazel at that point and requested the tow to somewhere close to where we were staying. Not knowing anything about the area we took a chance on Josh and it really worked out for us. We left the car Saturday evening at the garage and picked up around the same time Monday. We weren't treated like tourist felt like part of the community.

Great spot. Helped me fast during an emergency, reasonable prices, kind and honest people, who know what they are doing. What more could you want?
