LOVED this place! The staff was amazing. Some of the best customer service I’ve had. The coffee menu has tons of options and so did the food menu.
The coffee is made right and it is so good. They had a great fall menu too. Dairy free options as well. Nothing but good things to say about it!

Honestly I didn't want to stop, haven't had great experiences with independent coffee shops. I was pleasantly surprised! Bagel Bombs are really good, the dark roast coffee was on par. They have a good selection of food, including sweets, and the staff was nice. Definitely will be back to try more. Give them a try

So glad we finally have a great coffee shop in this area! Excellent latte made with organic coffee and high quality organic syrups. I got a sandwich today, and it was phenomenal as well. Again, high quality ingredients! The decor is cozy. The service is friendly, helpful, and above and beyond.

Mugs is a true gem. I'm a fan for life. The staff is always kind and just a joy to be around. Their coffee is better than anything else in the area. If you have a chance to try their sandwiches and soup, you won't regret a single bite. Everything is delicious, fresh, and just SO GOOD.

Amazing place. Friendliest people, chill atmosphere. I work out of the shop multiple days a week and they’ve been wonderful every single time. Great coffee, sandwiches, and the chili is amazing.

The owners opened the store on Christmas Eve when they were closed because we asked if they were open as they were running in to get something (we thought they were opening the store.) The cafe latte was delicious, and my tea was perfect. The kind gesture was much appreciated and the owners were so very kind. I would definitely return! This will be my go to coffee place.

I have been here twice to get my favorite latte that I’ve ever had at any coffee shop (raspberry maple🤌🏼) and the environment is cute and cozy, but the staff is exceptional. Friendly, helpful, joyful—a breath of fresh air in the world! I would go there for a mediocre latte just because of the staff.

Good place for lunch/sandwiches. Turkey and cheese with avacado is like $8. I haven't try their coffee yet so I can't comment. I don't like their macaroons. It was bone dry. Sandwiches are good so just come and order sandwich and coffee

Cold brew coffee was great. Price was good. Biodegradable straws were a plus. I'll be back.
UPDATE
I went back for take out coffee and a sandwich. The sandwich was glorious! There was a good amount of delicious turkey and melty Swiss. The flavors were fresh and perfect with the crisp toasted sourdough bread. They even opened the sandwich after toasting it to add in the fresh veggies so they would stay crisp and fresh. I'm sure I'll be back!

First time visiting. Stopped in on a road trip. Love the atmosphere. Staff were very friendly. Loved the selection for food and coffee/beverages. Will be back!

I stumbled upon this wonderful little coffee shop, and I'm glad I did. The servers were phenomenal, attentive, and very professional. Definitely on my list of favorite places!

Best coffee, atmosphere, and customer service in the area!!! I came here for the first time two weeks ago and have already been back 6 times!! My go to is their caramel macchiato which isn't too sweet and I can still taste the coffee. I have also tried their pour over coffee, Samoa cookie latte, and bagel bombs which have all been top notch as well.

Such a warm and welcoming atmosphere with a fresh, diverse, and tasty menu! Baristas have the type of attitudes that make you feel nothing but gratitude. Worth the few extra bucks versus avocado toast and a latte from Dunkin Donuts. You won’t regret choosing this small business!

I am so picky and they have the freshest and tastiest lattes. A great variety of flavor combinations, and the staff is so pleasant to talk to and very prefessional. The atmosphere is great as well. I always stop in now when Im in town!

Great place to sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee with a friend. Small place, good atmosphere, friendly staff, and opens early as of this posting (0630).

I love independent coffee shops & this fit the bill. I visited this place twice and ordered the raspberry maple latte, lavender honey latte & bacon jalapeno bagel bomb. Everything was great. Service was excellent - everyone was friendly. Very nice atmosphere. If you want to try something different other than your typical Starbucks, Dunkin', etc., give this place a try!

Ask the people who work there for their recommendations, they are usually spot on! I go in there not knowing what to try and their recommendations haven't failed me yet!

Re-upping my rating after visiting Mel and the squad after their move to White Lake! I can't drive 30mins every time, but am so glad they're next to my Pontiac Lake SP hiking habits, easily accessed from M-59, etc. Keep it up, y'all!

Mel is up and running after the coronavirus controls forced his closure, and I'm not sure I could be more glad for bagel bombs, local gourmet cookies, and one of my favorite decaf blends! Maybe not college town cheap, but everything he sells is uncannily delicious. So glad to have this within easy walking distance.
