Cool model train shop in a classic old building. Nice, polite owners!

Interesting selection of repair parts and tinkerer stuff as well as some nice deals on locomotives and rolling stock. Cool historic building too. Definitely worth a visit if you're into model trains.

I haven't been able to stop in as much as I would like to or used to. But I know this, if I send and email or make a call for an item, these guys will make it happen as if I was standing in the store with them. Great customer service, great passion, knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and modelers!!! Highly recommended you put these guys on your shop list.

Tom has in every way been more than helpful and pleasant to deal with. He is a wealth of knowledge and willing to share and advise you for the best out come, and at times that has probably cost himself a sale? He is not only a business owner but a modeler at heart, and realizes the true value of a customer!! More people should see him before starting in the hobby. What more can you ask fore.

I have frequented McClean Depot for years. This place has superb customer service. Tom has helped solve complex DCC problems for me multiple times over the years. They have a variety of scales and price points. We should support businesses like this!

i absolutely loved my visit the guy that runs the shop is very nice wonderful prices i purchased a athearn genesis auto rack and a RTR 50 ft illinois terminal boxcar both cars run perfect very good selection of trains

Well worth the stop I'm a trained buff and I have LBG trains and they had a car that I have not seen so I bought it, they probably have had it for 50 years I don't know everyone was fantastic this is a must stop on route 66 tour

Absolutely love this place! Tom is a great guy and very knowledgeable in model railroading and DCC. I happily drive 2 hours to give him my business!

Love very nice every time order something Tom get it lot he has it in stock and knows what talking about what want .would recomend that place to get model rail road stuff.

Tom really knows his trains and can help you if you are getting started or if you want to expand your layout, he also does inhouse repairs and can install decoders for dcc in your locomotives. This place i would say is my home away from home love this place and highly recommend this shop
