This campground was small but very quiet, peaceful and the people were all very nice , super helpful we didn't have a long enough power cord to reach, they didn't hesitate to lend us a extension. I wanted to make sure the rv was parked so I could use the deck on the back and the camp host made sure that happened for me. I was able to use there laundry facilities which the washer and dryer seemed brand new. The grounds were very well maintained. You can drive your 4 wheeler directly to the Leota trails and others.

Clean, quiet campground. hosts are very welcoming and helpful with any needs or questions. bathrooms were spotless and refreshed often, the fifth wheel we rented was clean and full of supplies to make us feel at home. highly recommend to any one who is looking for a quiet get away to relax. all information was presented in detail so I didn't have to ask many questions, as well as a quick response time when I did need a question answered. Regina, Marc, and Cindy were all very awesome thanks again for making our trip perfect.

Great experience. Met by staff on arrival who made us feel welcome and at home. Rained and snowed but still had fun. Thanks for being open early in season. While it may not have the pools and lakes and mini-golf others do, the sites were large and wifi good. We will be back again. Thanks

This cozy little campground was a good find with a nice bathroom/ shower facility, easily accessible firewood (pay on the honor system), & even laundry facilities (many of the campers are long-term RV guests)! We were pretty sure we were the only tent campers at the time we were there, so we had the whole row of rustic lots to ourselves! Haha! The owners and/ or hosts of the camp are great and always available! There isn’t a lake attached to the camp, but there is one very close by at Harrison State Park! And there are multiple really nice hiking areas nearby as well! (We hiked at the Mid Michigan Community College trails (we hiked the 10+ mile blue trail that is designed for mountain-bikers, but it was great for us too)!

Everything is clean and grounds well maintained. No hassle Check in and out. If you have questions, just send a text, answered within minutes. We have friends that have a cabin right on long lake so this works perfect. We stay there all day, enjoy the boat and come back to our little home all set up without any worries. See you all Fourth of July weekend!!

Great place to camp! It’s small and quiet so if you are looking for less craziness of the larger campgrounds this is a good one. I loved how personal the owners were with a text the day of our trip with all the info for lot number wifi and codes to bathrooms, no long lines to check in or lines to get out. Quite a few seasonal campers here and everyone was so friendly, definitely will camp here again.

I highly recommend Harrison Shady Acres! The new owners, Regina and Don, are wonderful and have put so much into the campground already! Our family decided to become seasonal campers this year and couldn't be happier. The bathhouse is clean, spacious, and heated! The lots are good size and provide room for our growing family. The campground is family friendly, though it is smaller and not necessary geared towards younger children - however it is exactly what we were looking for. The location can't be beat - close to great restaurants, shopping, parks, lakes, fishing, hunting (you name it!) and it's central location makes it perfect for day trips! During a week of camping, we made it out to Traverse City, Mackinaw, Grand Rapids, and more - and were able to come back to a relaxing campfire. If you are a hunter, this is a great place for you too!

Harrison shady acres is one of the best camp grounds we have been to. And we have been to A LOT! The people there are very friendly, and the park is very cute and clean. There is a bath house, and a laundry room. You can buy wood from them and more. There is also a convenience store right around the corner! If you're ever in the area I highly recommend Harrison shady acres.

Our family had an Awsome stay at this campground ! It’s a quiet little campground close enough to fishing , swimming & hiking in Wilson state park & mom and pop restaurants. We took day trips to ludington, mackinaw, and traverse city . Nice to come back to a quiet little inexpensive campground and enjoy our time together around the fire and enjoying this beautiful well taken care of RV. It was perfect for our little family and our kids enjoyed it . Regina is quick to respond and very helpful with anything you need ! I would definitely recommend !!

My wife i enjoyed this place because it was on the quieter side and the other campers were very nice. New owners are refreshing the place and were very cordial and helpful and welcoming. Showers we spacious with a nice area to change in. More for adults than young families which was what we wanted.

We enjoy Harrison Shady Acres campground, the other campers are very friendly, bathrooms are clean. The campground allows four wheeler, utv, and jeeps. Can't say that for other near by campgrounds. We have been seasonal campers for a number of years and enjoy it, very relaxing.
