Nichols Lake South Campground

Great. Clean flush restrooms, showers, great forest and lake. Road and pads at each site are paved. Large sites, most well separated from each other. Lake views. Small private beach.

It's been 12 years since I've camped at this campground, and unlike other places the campground got cleaner. Bathrooms were clean, the road was blown off and made it nice for long boarding. And a dock to put your boat at for easy access for water sports. The camp manager is doing a great job.. Thank you my family had a great week.

Extended Season Open until October 9, 2023. Beautiful, well kept spacious sites. Beautiful views.. clean flush toilets, fantastic atmosphere and the absolute BEST campground manger.. still time to make some more memories this year

This campground is very nice for a weekend camping trip we planned! Will be back in the future. The lake is great to kayak and fish, caught some big bass!

Great time, the lake was wonderful and the campground manager is the nicest guy.

Had a camp spot where we could easily carry out our kayaks down to the beach! All the water was surprisingly clear!

Nice swim beach running water .. very kid friendly.. great host .. this is not a place for loud partiers..

Our site was big, loved the frogs serenading me to sleep. Very quiet at night as they enforce rules on turning off generators. Nice flush bathrooms, easy access wood and ice. Decent site privacy and shade. The camp hosts were very nice to people and gave us some tips when our pop ups electric was not working. Unfortunately adjacent camper had a fit when they had to shut off generator and ranted about showers being closed due to COVID and said she will get these hosts out! Very unfortunate that the hosts, Site 9, had to take so much abuse for doing their jobs.
If you love nature and trees, this is a nice family park with lots of families walking on the paved loop. Best sites IMO are on the outside loop. Sites 17 and 19 have a boardwalk going sort of adjacent and thru their site so not as private or good if you have a barking dog, but family that was there loved it as it was closest to the beach for their kids to run up and down.
Great park to bring Kayaks & bikes .

This is a great campground if you're looking for rustic sites!! Plenty of trees dividing the sites. Nichols Lake is gorgeous and has a nice swimming area. There are many walking trails around the lake. The bathroom was very clean.

The campgrounds were awesome except campers too close together. The camp superintendent was constantly knit picking over everything... very irritating. But didn't do anything about the dogs barking all night long.

A good variety of sites, potable water, outlets in the bathroom, and a hot shower. It is a great place to stop if you're hiking the NCT or just want to spend some time outdoors

Its a nice Frist come Frist serv campground, went camping with the family, they had a lake were you and fish and boat. The camp hostesswas friendly. The only thing bad was there other campers , keep an eye out for snakes seen a lot of them .

Love this campground! Beautiful, mostly private sites. Beautiful lake. A few hiking trails! I will for sure be coming back for this one. Best to come on the weekdays, the campground is nearly empty!

Nice clean campground with a friendly camp host. Great boardwalk to a nice beach with a sand bottom swimming area.

I went bikepacking along the NCT and this was my favorite stop along the way. Campsite was very clean and well kept. Ronnie the campsite manager was very helpful as well as accommodating. Worth a stop.

So beautiful. The beach is perfect. The bathrooms were kept clean. The camp manager was so polite.

We love Nichols lake campgrounds very much.its beautiful and so relaxing.the host was very awesome.we can't wait to come back.

Very family friendly, the staff was super helpful. Very clean park, definitely wont be my last summer going.
