Best campground we’ve ever stayed at!! The hosts were nice & kept the place very clean. The pit toilets even smelled nice. The sites on the right have direct beach access. The ones on the left have to walk to the public access path. There are games available to take to your site to play. The sites are spread out. We had a great time.

First off the host Gilly was beyond friendly and full of information. We camped at site 25. It is a walk in, they provide a wagon to help carry in which was so helpful. You have your own path down to the beach, which we were able to watch the sunset and sunrise each day. It is a small campground but with that being said it made the bathrooms and water pump close by. You will want to load up on supplies before heading here as there is not much near by. Also the price per night was a extremely fair price.

I feel like I shouldn't review this place so it stays pretty secluded but everything about this campground was fantastic. Went camping here for 2 nights, no reservations but driving through on a Thursday there were still plenty of spots open. We stayed at camp site #7 and it was amazing. You get enough space between campsites so you actually feel a little more secluded. You're about 50 feet from Superior beach which was all sandy when we went, search for agates elsewhere!

For night time, the stars are always amazing and if you look to the east you can see all the lights off in the distance. There are plenty of trees in the area so you can get some fallen wood (please don't knock down trees!) or you can buy firewood by the front gate into the campground.

The water pumps worked great and the outhouses were well maintained.

If Gilly still works there, say hello to him, he was a great person to meet.

We had a great stay! Will definitely return and be sure to get one of the lake lots. Hosts Kathy and her husband are wonderful and do a great job at keeping this a clean and quiet camp. Thanks guys!

Lovely spot right on the lake (well, a teeny walk). Our hosts Ron and Val were so friendly and really took their responsibilities seriously, walking around in the evening, greeting campers with their name tags on. And check out the photo of their site care!!! My OCD self was just delighted by the circular raking around our fire pit! What fun!

Our campsite was huge and had a path down to the water. The fire pit is enormous. There is a post for hanging things. There is a cabinet with games and beach toys to borrow. It was an amazing place to stay. Spotless and beautiful.

Most sites are nestled in trees and quite private. We stayed in a tent on site 19. This was very close to the road. I wouldn’t recommend it for ones traveling with little kids or dogs. The pro of site 19 is that its conveniently located to bathrooms. Bathrooms were immaculate. The entire campground is very well maintained. Wood is available to buy at camp. $7 a bundle or 3 for $20. The beach is sandy and great for long walks. Not many pebbles or rocks on this particular shore of Lake Superior. We were lucky enough to have a bug free stay. Will definitely be going back to Bay View Campgrounds.

What an awesome campground!! We had such a nice stay here on our cross country drive. The camp hosts (Kathy and Pat) are super nice and do an amazing job keeping the campground clean and organized. The sunset over Lake Superior was beautiful and we swam in the lake in the morning - a bit brisk but refreshing and rejuvenating. We will come here again when we're in the area.

What a wonderful experience! Bay View Campground is the best. The sites are well cared for, the vault toilets clean and odor free, and the campground hosts, Pat and Kathy could not have been more helpful. We spent 10 days enjoying the beauty of Lake Superior. We look forward to a return visit.

This is paradise and the camp hosts are wonderful. I almost want to give this place a bad review so no one will know how incredible it is.

My husband, Curt and I, spent more than a week here in July and it was just about perfect. The campground hosts Pat and Kathy were attentive and helpful. The campground was kept in pristine condition and the pit toilets were as good as you will ever find. There were a few guests who were loud and offensive but mostly this campground seems to attract the old style camping crowd who appreciate rustic primitive camping in the woods and along White Fish Bay. We will be back in September and I'm sure many times in the future.

Pat and Kathy Fryer, the camp hosts, have made Bay View our favorite campground! They keep the sites immaculate and the vault toilets the cleanest I've ever seen in a primitive campground. Kathy actually cleans them daily and keeps them well stocked with toilet paper and sanitizer. Kathy and Pat also bend over backwards to try and accommodate all the campers wanting a site. This is not always possible because of high demand. It is best to make reservations in advance. The scenery is beautiful and the sites are large.

If you love a beautiful beach and rustic camping on Lake Superior this is the place. Pet friendly! The camp hosts Valerie & Ronnie are very kind and helpful. They keep the park very clean. I do not recommend site 19 if you have a trailer . This should Be tent only site & rec.gov should put site photos on their web page for booking purposes. The beach front sites are really quite large and the views are gorgeous . Also don’t show up without ice . It’s a drive all the way back to Brimley. And they only have a gas station that sells ice and they run out often. There is a family dollar there for other essentials. Pickles is a nice bar/ restaurant on the water in Brimley. Also if you need to get water / dump Brimley state park will let you do this for 10$ .

Camped at site #4 last week. Extremely clean campsite - with a fire pit and grate, and a picnic bench . Sites are spaced such that there is some separation from other campers. Firewood available to buy at the entrance.

Vault toilets were extremely well maintained and clean and there is a water pump nearby.

Kathy , our campground host was very welcoming and made us feel at home - helped us with starting bonfires, and even found a wine opener for us which we had forgotten.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay and would definitely recommend this campsite to anyone who wants to go camping.

Great camp ground with wonderful water side sites.
We go here every year and even when we have bad weather we always have a great time.
New couple running the camp ground this year.
The previous couple did a better job keeping up on the bathrooms and keeping the rowdy groups in line. Not so much this year.
I hope it doesn't go down hill.
Oh and we were there for 5 days and they never once had any firewood available?
