Cello Italian Restaurant

One of my favorite restaurants in Howell and top formal dining experiences. Big shout out to Emily for her wonderful hospitality!!! From the moment you walk in, you feel welcomed and at home. Everything on the menu sounded incredible, we stuck with pasta dishes to share. Every dish was perfect from start to finish! The wild mushroom gnocchi was delicious, and my favorite. Their red sauce is perfect, I caught myself eating it by the spoon full, well after I finished my dish.

Wow!!!!! What an incredible dining experience!! Everything about this dinner was amazing. Our server made excellent recommendations and stated she had worked at the restaurant since she was 16 years old because she enjoys the food so much

The passes are all handmade daily and you can walk by in the back and see them making them. Tonight if they were making the tortellinis by hand and you could see the freshness!

The arugula salad was dressed perfectly with the perfect amount of goat cheese.

If you're a party of two, you may not want to get the roasted garlic as it is absolutely delicious but a very large portion when there are so many other excellent choices.

The menu is well done considering they offer the options of smaller and larger portions. I recommend one appetizer to split as well as one small pastas. Plus have one of the protein dishes.

We cannot wait to go back again!!

My girlfriend and I recently checked out Cello and fell in love. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate. The food is amazing. The Gnocchi is absolutely fantastic and I'd highly recommend. (All the food is great!) But, really for us, the service on Valentine's Day was amazing. Blake was super personable and chatted a bit even when holiday busy. He noticed that I had received the wrong starter before I even had a chance to mention it and had it corrected. Recommended and brought a couple wine samples to taste. Really made the night special.
As much as it pains me to recommend anything owned and ran by Adam Merkel with his reputation for how he treats his people.. I'd def recommend Cello.. And ask for Blake.

I went to dinner with a big group and we had the best time! Our server (I believe his name was Donovan) was phenomenal. He had great recommendations and great service! Each of our entrees was different and each one was delicious! The dessert was also impeccable! We all shared amongst each other and truly everything was delicious!

I LOVED everything about this restaurant. The whole vibe and feel in the restaurant was great. It’s a tightly packed, small venue, but it doesn’t feel that way. My girlfriend and I went there on a little date night. Our waiter Andrew was beyond great. His service was top notch and was a very friendly individual. My girlfriend ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and I ordered the chicken fettuccini alfredo. The food was delicious. Fair prices. The restaurant was very clean. I am looking forward to going back to this place for many more meals and nights out with my lady.

Had a delicious dinner the day after valentines day to avoid the busyness of the night before. Emily S was an amazing server, very tentative. Alll her recommendations were terrific and exactly how she explained. Chefs deserve a lot of credit for how well the meal was prepared and cooked. We will be back.

I love Cellos. From the food to the small plates that we can share and taste more. The best thing is the service. They always make you feel welcomed and our waitress was great.

What a little gem in the heart of the town! We thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Our waiter Andrew was phenomenal, so kind and outgoing…the menu was unique and the food items were all refreshing. We look forward to this spot becoming a regular date night go-to!

Exceptional food and service. Highly satisfied with the quality of food. We got appetizers, entrees, drinks and dessert. Everything we tasted was very flavorful. I got the shrimp and scallop arrabiata which was very good. But my friend got the scallops with saffron risotto and it was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back!

This place! It’s gotten to the point where I just hate eating out these days. Everything is just … ok. I just moved to Michigan and so happy a friend suggested this place. The food was beyond amazing. They make their own pasta! Like what?? Service? Exceptional. I feel so bad I forgot our waitress name, but I was too busy eating the best baked ziti. My son had fettuccini and to say he is a picky 15 year old is and understatement and even he can’t wait to go back. I don’t care where you live this is worth the drive and the time. Make sure to make a reservation! You won’t be disappointed

WOW, amazing Italian sauce and pasta! The meatballs and peppers are fantastic with the Italian sauce. My son, the picky eater loves this place! Friendly staff and helpful with suggestions.

Why did I wait so long to come here?!! I'm not sure but I really missed out because the food is delicious! The wild mushroom gnocchi is the best gnocchi and sauce, I've ever had in my entire life!! It's so delicious 😋🤤

Our experience at Cello was fantastic! Emily’s customer service as our server was top notch. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and wine with on-point recommendations. We had the chicken parm and fettuccine alfredo, both staple dishes but best we’ve had in years. Jonathan (manager) checked on us regularly without being overbearing and was very friendly. Even with a young kitchen staff the food was timely and impressive. We will definitely be back!!

Wow! What a gem of an Italian restaurant! Every part of this dining experience was highly enjoyable. Great ambiance. Memorable dinner; the best pasta I've ever had. Excellent Caesar salad. Mangia!

We had another wonderful delicious dinner tonight and the a shout out to Jolie, Donovan and Ro. This restaurant never disappoints!

Food was great, as always, and our server - Emily- was so friendly and tentative. We never had to ask for anything...she was right there on top of things. We ate outside as we figured that weekend was going to be one of the last warm ones this year. We frequent Cello's and recommend them to friends at any opportunity!

I wish I could give this place 6 stars. Impeccable service, food and atmosphere. Easily one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Emily was a phenomenal server. Thank you!

The Gnocchi Marinara was incredibly delicious that I came in two days in a row! The large portions can be shared between 2 people. We were greeted with a complimentary sample of the Arancini, which was freshly fried mozzarella balls with homemade tomato sauce. There was also authentic styled bread sticks in a jar. Excellent customer service, guaranteed several hosts, chef, and manager will make your experience top notch. Casual-dressy, cozy atmosphere. This restaurant is apart of the Diamonds business.

Amazing food with amazing service. Great recommendations by the staff. Sent over a free sample from the kitchen. Atmosphere was quite, cozy, and small. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back. Also I would suggest getting several small dishes and sharing them versus traditional ordering.

As a former server, I have to say that Emily was just fabulous! She gave us amazing recommendations and we never had to ask for anything. I appreciate Emily making our dining experience relaxing and enjoyable!
