Quilter's Dream

A small group of us just had a quilting retreat here. The quilt shop isn't large, but well organized, has a nice sewing area with 2 ironing tables and a cutting table. Could fit 6 people in there to work, but no more(we had 5). Fridge and coffeepot available.

We also stayed at "The Nest" retreat center, 3 bedrooms and 2 baths to stay in upstairs...total of 7 beds in 3 bedrooms, nice atmosphere, very clean and organized, free WiFi, linen and towels provided.

What you're paying for is actually to stay in one section of the owners Beautiful home (like Air BNB)but it's not crowded at All. (The history of the building is interesting, and their vision for the vaulted warehouse sized space turned out beautifully).
Breakfasts are provided by host, and lunches and suppers are catered and delicious.

Worth the cost. We already booked to go again next year, and our group plans to return at least yearly.

What a fabulous shop! I really love shops in old buildings and this one is housed in one from the 1880's in the really cute historic downtown of Montgomery, MN. There are high celings that allow for many sample quilts to be shown off along the walls. The fabrics carried in this store include lots of fresh and modern designs and also batiks. There are a vast array of fun and unique patterns as well. They have many quilt patterns but also for bags and other fabric projects as well. You will find samples of many of these projects. The owner is quite friendly. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone.
