I ordered the blue cheese and bacon burger. I specified medium rare. I don't typically order rares in restaurants as they rarely get it right, they got it right!! Our server Jessica was as attentive as she could be for a Friday night. For dessert I ordered the coconut cream pie. It was ok. My partner ordered the key lime, much tastier. I'll try another next time.

Hubbard Ave Diner is ALWAYS a great choice for breakfast, lunch or PIE! Took home Key Lime and Strawberry Rhubarb pie. A slick walk in reservation system so you can see how long your wait has been and where on the seating list you are positioned. Staff is incredibly nice, food delicious and service is prompt. Make it a point to eat at this diner whenever you are in downtown Middleton!

The food was outstanding. I had a chai latte, smoked hickory burger with applesauce and key lime pie. The applesauce was made from scratch. Of course, the key lime pie was authentic. The burger was delicious. We went on a Friday night. The place was busy, but not loud. The food came out quickly. I was very impressed and definitely recommend going. Our server, Jessica, was friendly, but a little difficult to get her attention.

Hubbard Avenue Diner is a fine restaurant… for the fun atmosphere and good food. The staff is overstretched a bit… So Service is not always as fast as we might care for… But the food is good and the weight does not feel so long because there’s always something interesting to see.

Diner style food… Breakfast all day good hamburgers, good fries and pies pies pies!

I forgot to take a picture of my breakfast this morning… All you get to see is the cup of coffee that was left after I took away my plate of eggs and hashbrowns and an airy light biscuit.

I can tell you the eggs for well-made and hashbrowns or crispy. And I can tell you that the biscuit was fluffy and quite tasty when I added the butter and the jam to it.

The only thing I would like to improve on at the Hubbard Avenue Diner is the coffee… it is week… As in no flavor. But it was hot and they did bring me a refill carafe for the table… So I had that going for me

No pie today… my usual go to is there a carrot cake which is really great with wonderful cream cheese frosting

Update 9/20. We stopped in for a light breakfast and it was delicious. Our server Yasmin L. was a delight and took good care of us. Service was fast! I had the deluxe hashbrowns with cheese and fried onions. Delicious and a generous portion size! My wife shared one of her eggs with me and I had a complete breskfast! (See last picture)

We went early on Mothers Day. It was busy already at 7:45am, but we were seated in 20 minutes.

Food was better than some of the recent reviews we read. We had the Eggs Benedict and the Farmers Skillet. Both were really good, well seasoned. Portion size was big, so good value for the price. Many breakfast items are in the $12 to $14 price range. The hash browns were just lightly browned, but still very good. The Farmers Skillet had lots of ham and cheese. For breakfast you can request gluten free which my daughter appreciated!

Mariana L was our server and she was attentive and pleasant.

We were in town for the weekend and stopped in for brunch with a 4 and 6 year old. It was a busy Sunday, but our wait was much shorter than what they quoted us, and the food came out very quickly once we ordered. We did not order any fancy coffee drinks, but were wishing we had when we saw servers carrying them to other tables, they looked great! Our server was fantastic; very warm and friendly and was thoughtful and accommodating for dining with small children. The kids enjoyed the chocolate chip pancakes, which were HUGE, it would have been great if it was slightly smaller and instead, the meal included an egg. (We just ordered a side order of eggs and hash browns separately for the kids and they were thrilled). The biscuits were absolutely the star of the show for breakfast. We'll definitely be back next time we are in town

Stumbled onto this place because it was near our hotel, but it turns out this place is an institution in Middleton. Famous for its pies, the wait staff all wear T-shirts with clever uses of the Math symbol, pi. Food was excellent. Especially enjoyed the veggie omelette which was packed with spinach and other garden delights.

Traditional diner. Awesome retro decor.

I had the meatloaf, and my husband had their broasted chicken dinner. My green beans were sautéed and seasoned perfectly.

Service was friendly and efficient, and the MOD checked in with each table, refilling drinks in between running the pass.

Definitely would return.

Tried the Avocado eggs Benedict and the French toast with berries and cream. Both items were really good! Came into the restaurant during dinnertime and only waited around 10 minutes before getting a table. Make sure to order the hash browns with cheese and onion.

The Meatloaf here is very good. Typical diner food. I think hubbards has some of the best French Toast I've ever had, make sure you add berries and cream to yours!

Love the old time diner experience. Lots of memorabilia from the early to mid 1900s. They breakfast was great and the atmosphere matched. Must stop if you want a good quick breakfast I’m the area.

The Diner was great! We grabbed seating near the cooks window. The food looked and smelled so good! At the window, tbere was a very capable lady (maybe the manager). She was guiding the cooks and wait staff, but also stacking the plates on trays for staff to take to tables 👀 just wow! And everyone moved around each other (in a tight space) like a well oiled machine. We were impressed. Also they have alcohol for adults and strawberry malts for kids... 😁🤣😭 i lies i lies, they`re both for meeee!!!

They have breakfast all day, and dinner options. The fish fry was one of the best I`ve had in Dane county. There`s a pie display and other treats. Give a try!

Awesome experience, we will definitely be back soon!

This is a cute little place. The staff is very kind and gives honest feedback about the food. Ordering pies online/to go is relatively simple. It's reasonably prices and the portion are good! I love bringing my family here.

Very happy with the food and service. We ordered an omelette, fries, avocado benedict, hashbrowns, coffee, and french silk pie. Coffee was actually pretty good (they use Collectivo), the biscuit was phenomenal, and we were very happy with everything else. Our waitress was very friendly and understanding of us needing time to decide a few times and didn't rush us at any point. I love the pie themed shirts all over! We would definitely come back.

Update: we came back! Farmer's skillet, chocolate chip pancakes (don't worry, the chocolate is inside), biscuit, fries, and another coffee. Happy as before with everything!

Best french toast I've ever had. Quite busy, but worth the wait. Also it's right next to the mustard museum so you can visit that before or after. We'll be back for sure

Here’s a destination diner complete with a buzz of busy servers that somehow seem to be aware of all manner of customer needs. A busy place but not a loud cacophony that might be expected with such a large number of tables and servers.

The coffee ☕ is nice, not overwhelmingly strong. Very nice as an accompaniment with your meal.

As everyone has noted, they bake pies here, fresh daily! They also bake “pie tacos” 🌮 which is great for serving a group of hungry family or friends!
