Adams Town Justice Court

Prime example of corruption in the small towns. Lazy, overpaid shiesters. Recorded call stated $70 fee - then they send a bill for $163 and can't explain why?

"You pled guilty to something WE FAILED TO DO DURING COVID." That's a plea deal for ya.

I'm not a God fearing man, but dealing with this court house is the closest thing I can compare to hell. BTW for out of state people, one of the most wealthy states in the union charges 200 dollars for the pleasure of receiving a ticket in their state. Gonna be more than the ticket you have to pay.

This is by far the worst court I’ve ever dealt with. Todays date is 9/7/2022 and I just received a ticket they are claiming is “unpaid” from 2018…. 5 YEARS ago. Mind you this is my FIRST notice of this. They told me if I don’t have proof of payment from 5 years ago that I have to pay it again or it will go against my credit and dmv status. They also do not issue payment receipts unless requested.. so be sure to get a few copies for years down the road when they come back for more money. They also do not accept personal checks, which is how most people keep track of things they pay. They do accept card payments, however, it does not say “Adams Town Court” as the payee so even if you do find the charge from 5 years ago it is not honored as it does not say the appropriate wording, good luck to anyone that has to deal with this court.

Just like Matthew Murphy I also just received a letter for a surcharge I forgot about from 2005!! I paid the fine but forgot the surcharge. They sent the letter to my parents house. I don't live around there anymore and haven't in years. Told them I'd send it in mail but that's insane it's been some like 17 years... Smh I move away and this place still haunts me

This court just sent me a letter of an unpaid ticket from more than 6 years ago. The letter was supposed to go to someone in Arkansas but they sent it to me in Alaska. The letter had more typos than a pre-schooler's homework. When I called to clear it up, their phone system doesn't work.
