Samurai Japanese Steak House

Wow! Talk about a hidden gem. I’ve always seen this place tucked back in the strip mall but with the blinking signage it turned me off. I would have originally suggested that the owners have their sign replaced with something fresher and more sleek looking BUT they truly do not need help bringing in business! Came in on a Saturday night left around 9pm and people were still piling in!
We left the restaurant saying 5 stars and I truly mean it.
Beautiful restaurant. Quick and polite service. Delicious food. Great prices! Clean bathrooms. Turtle pond for the kids to enjoy.
I wish I would have given this place a chance sooner! Sat at a table this time and had a great time, but the Hibachi side of the restaurant was having a blast! Definitely suggest trying it if you love a good Japanese steakhouse. 5 stars all the way! Fantastic job!

Stopped in for some dinner during a conference I was at over at the Kalahari. Great place for food and the shrimp and lobster were great.

I've been a hardcore fan of a more contemporary upscale hibachi restaurants in Port Clinton Ohio for many years. I think I may have found a new favorite.

It is my pleasure to recommend Samurai Restaurant to anybody that would like to get a more cost efficient hibachi experience, without sacrificing quality of food, or the fun experience.

The Restaurant is aesthetically pleasing, the wait staff are efficient and friendly, and the chefs produce outstanding food and are on top of their game.

Portions are extremely generous, and are very very tasty.

This place really is a hidden gem.

EDIT: I enjoyed the experience so much, I returned 4 days later. I had the pleasure of meeting one of the hibachi chefs, mashed Madi (not entirely sure if the correct spelling).

If you want a fun experience, ask for Madi. This guy is absolutely hysterical.

Great place. Our first time there and the food was amazing. The service was great.
Steak and Salmon hibachi was perfect. And my husband had the Filet and Scallops which were perfect as well.
Price was great compared to other hibachi's.
Worth the trip 😊

Colleen is an AMAZING server. We had such a good experience. I loved the sushi. Got two rolls, but my first one I ate so quick I forgot to take a photo. Highly recommend the Dynamite roll. One of the best rolls I've ever had. My partner had the steak filet with rice, veggies, and three shrimp. My other roll I customized and it only cost me about $6 extra to get what I wanted. I spent around $8p here, but it was worth it. Amazing service. Great atmosphere. Fantastic server as well as kind sushi chef. I would love to come back to this place if I'm ever back in town. Highly recommend if you love sushi and you're traveling through.

An amazing place. We were seated right away and the service was great. Our chef was hilarious and was entertaining for both the adults and the kids. It’s beautiful inside, too.

Had a good dinner here. Ordered a couple of their sushi rolls entrée. Came with salad which was drenched in ginger dressing (I like mine drenched) and some soup which was good. The only bad thing here was the water, tasted like straight city water.

I’ve been coming here for 15+ years and have always had a great experience. Delicious food and large portions, there’s always enough to take home for lunch the next day. Staff is always friendly and chefs do a great job entertaining.

The Cheif was kind, funny, gentle, and safe. I loved how fast the food came and how entertaining the Cheif made the food look. It was a great experience for all my kids! I am so excited to come back!

This is the best hibachi place in the area. The chefs are all great, food is fresh and delicious, good sushi, and good cocktail menu. We went on a Saturday and even though it was very busy the service was great. We highly recommend Samurai!

I love this place! Great food when I'm in that mood to eat sushi! I'm long overdue for a visit if there ever comes a time when gas, utilities, taxes, and Murphy's law ever become manageable again. Not holding my breath though! This would be a place I'd go though!

My family and I from Pgh. PA was in Sandusky visiting Great Wolf Lodge. We asked for recommendations at Great Wolf and they were on the list. So we went for dinne. (4 adults and 4 kids) I am GF and the people I was with were not. So finding a place we all can eat with kids isnt easy. We called ahead and they said they offered GF soy sauce (not many places do where I live. When I arrived I doubled checked. When the chef came out to cook he cooked all mine separate from anything that had regular soy sauce with it and cleaned the grill before cooking mine with GF soy sauce. I haven't had hibachi since going GF 8 years ago due to not trusting the process. Everything was wonderful. Soy sauce was GF, as well as their Yum Yum sauce. I did not eat the salad with ginger dressing as they couldn't tell me all the ingredients. I truly appreciated the care the chef took to keep mine seperate and safe. Besides that, he was wonderful while cooking and entertaining the kids. They had the best time and we were all laughing and clapping! We will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

Great experience, great food! Only small downfall yet, understandable, takes a little bit before you’re waited on at the table with exception of getting your beverages. Though it’s understandable during this time, I hope that’s not that norm. Plus, it’s a bit too dark in the place, than I would prefer. All around though, watching the chef cook the food in front of you and including the guests into the “show”, it’s exceptionally great!

We where a bit skeptical with the location because of poor lighting in the outside and wheren't sure it was open. But once you come in it's a completely different story. By far the best hibachi I've had in a long time, great portions, ok service, the cook was fun, great tasting food, and delicious yum yum sauce. I had the Sandusky deluxe meal, and Shaggy Dog sushi roll. Both where delicious and flavor full, definetly coming back. My husband and I had a great time and experiance for our wedding anniversary. Worth the price, we paid around 105.oo or more plus tip.

Very good food with large portions. The wait staff was friendly. The only bad thing is that the bar didn't serve a few of the drinks that we wanted.

Very clean & spacious. It has a Koi pond, with turtles, which fascinated my boys. Food was delicious. Sushi was especially fresh. Our chef, Madi, was personable and funny. He even gave us some advice, as our son is thinking of becoming a chef. We had a great night, with great food!

My kids and I tried this place while in town and we are so glad we did. Excellent hibachi and sushi. Server and hibachi chef were awesome. Both very friendly and accommodating.

it's great atmosphere and also great service. everything was fresh and the beer and sake was nice and cold. I've been here more then couple times with friends and I would take my family here. the wait time for table is not long if any time at all. I recommend getting the sushi and sashimi cambo comes with miso and salad. I would go here again 💯✌
