Five stars all the way around. The employees are extremely helpful in answering any and ALL questions. They have always helped me find whatever I need and often if it’s heavy, will offer to take it to the car for me. I’ll always recommend wickford lumber to a friend!

This place is like the old Cheers TV show for me. Their selection is fine enough but I really like going back time and again because they know me, treat be well, and really do remember my name. They ask about my kids when they don't come with me and they're incredibly patient with them when they do come. In fact, the store used to be an old train station (you can tell by the outside of the store once you know that) and they run the electric train around the inside for my kids when they come. I'm not sure just how the prices compare, but they're close enough that I greatly prefer to come here instead of a larger store despite the extra driving time (I pass by three other hardware stores on my way here).

Knowledgeable, personable and professional staff with the ability to quickly get anything they don’t immediately have already in their very large inventory. They beat Lowe’s and Home Depot in every way, including price. They beat also beat Amazon’s price on a Dewalt cordless skill saw I just bought from them.

Great folks at Wickford lumber. They fix screens, window panes, cut your lumber and give great advice. Keep your business locally.

Love, Love, Love this place especially as a woman faced with piddling little decorating projects that call for a professional's help! While "Popeye" in the glass/lumber department is the BEST, the other young man (so sorry I didn't get his name) is always courteous, genuinely helpful and comes through with commitments made with respect to time. Give these wonderful men some praise (and a raise probably wouldn't hurt either). I live in Wakefield, but I wouldn't trade anywhere else!

Very nice store, everything you could possibly need. Helpful staff, they don't follow you around. Great hardware abd lumber. Free popcorn to boot.

Very helpful staff and prices are good. Lumber is better quality than Home Depot. They also have free popcorn and coffee.

Love the personal service, and the ability to find any part in the quantities that I want to buy. Beats the big-box stores in this area hands down. And it is always nice to "buy local".
