Dockside Cafe

🌞What a great place to come in the summer! 🍹Amazing drink selection, 🌮food is outstanding, 🧑‍🍳wait staff is exceptional! Plus, you're sitting right next to 🌊Lake Erie, right near downtown, and with views of🎢 Cedar Point in the background!

This place wasn't here when I lived here in the mid-80's. So much has changed downtown, seems all for the better, at least on a weekday in July! Food was good, a little pricey, there's no service, you stand in line and then go pick up what you ordered. Stood in line for about 15 minutes to order, seemed a little slow to me, but overall good for what it is. View was great! They had a tent so that we were out of the sun. Enjoyed catching up with some old friends.

Parking was free. Plenty of seating. Dog friendly. Amazing view. Food was good. You need to level your expectations when you see burgers, hot dog, nachos and fries on the menu. But it tasted fine. Served a nice variety of alcohol. Would definitely recommend. There's a grass field and small hill nearby the kids can run or adults and relax.

The whole family loves Dockside anytime the weather is nice- including the dog some days! The kids love to play on the hill and I enjoy sitting by the water at one of the many tables always available. One of the best hidden gems in town. Food is always delicious and drinks refreshing.

Such an adorable outside cafe. My friends and I came for lunch. Had the deluxe double burger. It was AMAZING. The view was something else. Would definitely recommend. Will return when in the area again!

No complaints. Charming casual spot by the water, close to Sandusky downtown, free plentiful parking, order and sit with your food by the water self service. Excellent lobster roll (bit pricy at $25), believe it had tarragon, the Walleye tacos were good (a tad spicy). You can see Cedar Point and Kelly's Island. Our new fav spot for great atmosphere. Live music too!

great hidden gem of a spot. good bar type food with perch and walleye tacos along with many other great meals. great prices and the outside seating Is fantastic on a nice day. they had live entertainment when we went in the evening. I found this during ohio bike week a short walk away ended up there 3x though the day beer was half price as the bike week event. ended my night there with the Live entertainment, that was really good btw. he was a very talented singer and the music was not to loud either. great place for an evening coattails and a nice sun set. oh and the staff were friendly helpful and food was fast. I'll definitely make this a must stop every time I'm in town from now on.

Fantastic atmosphere and fantastic food. Definitely one of the better burgers I've had all around. This is the best place I know of in the whole Sandusky area.

I can't believe I had the delicious "World Famous" Walleye Tacos and I forgot to take a pic! And what a great Lake Erie view for a sunset dinner experience. Remember to snag some "Boozy Cherries," too.

Two different years to watch the sunset and have a drink and relax! Good food good drinks!!! Happy hour between 8:00 and 9:00 p.m.

I'm disappointed in myself for not discovering this place SOONER! Right by the Lake- great views! The STAFF- FABULOUS! We had a greek salad - shared it & shared a burger! Very good! Great drink selection & nice food selection! Plenty of seating! Ample parking! Live music when we were there! What a GREAT EXPERIENCE!👍😊

Good food with a beautiful view! We tried the shrimp tacos, chicken nachos and the deluxe burger & everything was great! We wish there were more shady spots or umbrellas, but other than that it was great! 👍

Great burgers and the bacon on them was on point! Great view of the lake while you hang out, peaceful environment. I'll be back again when I'm around the area!

My wife and I split that along with hand cut French fries.
The food was very good.
You order at the counter and pick up and clear your own food and trays.

A great place nestled in downtown Sandusky that provides a quiet atmosphere and great views of the water! I will definitely visit again!

Holy cow! We've lived here 4 years and I'm just now discovering this place?!
What a treat- GREAT food, reasonable portions and decently priced, awesome drink options (I love you, Cayman Jack!) and the incredible views of the bay. I hope we're back soon!
