Alamogordo Convenience Center

I was surprised to see two young men come up to my vehicle to unload the appliances I had brought. Since I had wrestled them into my van myself, I was very appreciative.

Very helpful staff and the hours of operation are great.

Since the only other two reviews are five and six years old respectively, it is apparent to me that the Alamogordo City Recycling dump has drastically improved in recent years. I've never had a problem going in but of course, I don't take anything that's considered hazardous waste. The gentleman that checks me in is always smiling and has even helped me off load my truck on more than one occasion. Yes, you do need to separate cardboard and metal from household trash but that's not difficult to do! As for the hours of operation, they are clearly posted and I have never found them closed when they are supposed to be open
