Tavern by the Sea

Whenever me and my family visit Tavern by the Sea in North Kingstown, RI, we always have a fantastic experience. The atmosphere is charming and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing meal. The outdoor seating area is particularly lovely, providing a great view and a pleasant dining environment. The food is outstanding, with a diverse menu that caters to various tastes. My favorite dish is the octopus, which is cooked to perfection every time. It's a must-try if you visit. The rest of the menu is equally impressive, offering delicious options that are sure to satisfy. What sets this place apart is the exceptional service. The waiters go above and beyond to ensure you have a great dining experience. They are friendly, attentive, and truly make you feel welcome. In comparison, I find "Wickford On The Water" to be overrated. "Tavern by the Sea" offers a much more enjoyable dining experience in terms of both food quality and service.

Wonderful dinner on the deck, despite pouring down rain. We stayed dry. Our server was a delight and very professional. Clam chowder was delicious, as was the pasta with beef ragu. Brie burger was prepared to perfection. Molten lava cake and apple blossom desserts were yummy too. Very pleasant atmosphere.

We had a wonderful experience recently. We had an outdoor dinner with a group of 6 people, the hostess Lexie got us a fantastic table, with a great view and location. We had the calamari, a pitcher of sangria and I chose to have the Haddock Newburg which was fantastic. I highly recommend going here when the weather is beautiful.

Had a wonderful lunch at Tavern by the Sea in Wickford, RI. We sat outdoors at a table with a water view. Food was delicious, service was great and atmosphere was amazing!

Long been a favorite restaurant in Wickford. Food is great and service fast and friendly. Sorry I did not get our waitresses name but she was outstanding!

Wonderful restaurant! The food is amazing and the staff is friendly. Definitely recommend making a reservation because they get busy quickly. We had a reservation and were seated in a few minutes upon arrival. Over all really nice place and we plan to go again

Very reliable place with a nice location that features both views of the water and a quiet pond in the rear. Servers are very pleasant and the food and drinks are tasty.

It was an enchanted place hiding on a little salt pond. The sunset was beautiful and the food was very good. Our waitress was attentive.

This place was recommended by a great friend of mine, and he was so right about this place. The people their are friendly, the food was just really good, the ambiance is even better.

Had the opportunity to drive through Wickford on our way to Newport.
My girlfriend and I were looking for a cozy place to have lunch.
Research told us to try Tavern by the Sea and it did not disappoint.
We enjoyed the menu choices, the outdoor casual dining experience, and most of all the high-level customer service.
We loved our experience so much that we came back for dinner rather than fight the crowds on Thames Street. Incredible and so worth it.

The owner came over to say hello and recommended his fresh baklava cheesecake. Top- Notch. Delicious way to cap off our evening.

Many options on the menu with beautiful views of downtown wickford and the bay. Food is moderately priced and is really good. No complaints!

Amazing experience! We went at eight pm and sat outside. The food was excellent and the service was just as good, which was perfect because we had friend in from out of state and wanted to show her a good time. The servers, bartenders, and the manager were all SO sweet to my kids - one bartender gave my toddler a little cup of Gummi worms, and the gal who I think was the manager brought them out butter noodles when she saw they wanted my shrimp scampi (lol). We got the scrod, shrimp scampi, and scallops for entrees, and mussels and calamari appetizers - all were fantastic. My husband and I already can't wait to go back. Thanks for a great time!

Hidden gem. First time here. Amazing service from Mark. Got the Cajun chicken penne. Wow. Will definitely be back. And they do take out if you're near by.

I've been here a few times now during lunch and all three times I've really enjoyed it. I got the gyro most recently which was perfect. The outdoor patio and bar is beautiful and situated right on wickford cove with beautiful water views.

Held reception dinner here for a group of 18. Very accommodating. Food and drinks were fantastic. The wait staff was attentive & friendly. Definitely recommend!
