Do you like fun? Do you like service that makes you feel like a regular even though you’re just here on vacation? And more importantly, do you like really, really tasty food? If so, this is the place. Currently the mussels & red curry sauce is to absolutely die for (multiple people at our table resorted to slurping and requesting extra bread). The wine list is extensive and the owner will happily go as deep as you desire on chatting through the wine that’ll work best with your meal.

Dinner at the Sunflower was absolutely amazing! Really enjoyed the positive energy and impeccable service by all the staff, which was rivaled by all the incredible food coming out of the kitchen. Everything was spot on!! Was traveling with my brother and a good friend for over two weeks, and was easily one of the best meals & dinner experiences that we had. Want to give a shout out to all the staff & owners for a very memorable experience. Can’t wait for the next visit…Thanks again!!!

Really good food, fun vibe, farm to table. Only drawback is dinner is $$$$ but lunch is affordable, so go for lunch.

Updated: we did come for dinner the next time we were in town and while it was really pricey, it was delicious and such a good experience, it was worth it. It's best family style so you can try a lot of different things, and every thing we tried (peach soup, meatballs, pork belly, lamb, and chocolate torte) was incredible. The flavors were deep and interesting, and everything was cooked and prepared to perfection. Absolutely come for lunch or brunch if money is tight, but if you can swing it, get dinner! Recommend getting reservations because it's a small space and they fill up quick.

Came to this venue summer of 2022 for a private work dinner. All the staff was amazing and friendly, atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the courses were so delicious that the entire experience was one of the best and most memorable meals I've ever had.

What an incredible gem in downtown CB! Farm to table, locally sourced and seasonally changing menu. Fresh and delicious! Wonderful vegetarian options, friendly staff, open for brunch thru dinner. Worthy option if looking for a change of pace and a walk on the healthy side. Good size portions, definitely became 2 meals for me.

We had the most amazing dinner. Ben was a great server, food was high quality, and atmosphere was so cute! We loved how everything was coursed and never felt rushed. There was information on the menu where each ingredient came from as well as thoughtful thank you note and cards from the supporting farmers. We will definitely be returning the next time we are in Crested Butte.

Everything about my experience at the Sunflower was amazing. The food, service and atmosphere were perfection. I had not experienced a Tasting Menu before this and am still thinking about how wonderful it all was two days later!

Cannot recommend this spot enough! We were a group of 7 on a Saturday celebrating our friends 30th so we were a bit ‘rowdier’ than the average patron (I’m assuming) - lots of date night folks (which I would also do here).
- Atmosphere: 10/10

- Food: 10/10 - instead of each person individually ordering, the staff suggested the ‘Last Supper’ - family style serving. They catered to the vegetarian we had in the group, which was great. We had a delicious corn bisque soup topped with popcorn, kale Caesar salad, ..pretty much everything on the menu. Everything was fresh and delectable. I’m a very picky eater (think chicken tenders - I tend to stray from vegetables and seafood). WELL, I was eating squash, tuna tartare - this changed my life. I couldn’t say no to trying (and having a second serving) everything.

- Staff: 12/10 - not only did they help celebrate the birthday (with no prior knowledge), they were so friendly and fun. We were treated like family.

I like food. I like drinks. I LOVE good vibes. Coming from a state with amazing cuisine and flavors, I always have doubt in other states. Sunflower blew me away tonight. So much thought and execution to every dish. The wait staff was dynamite. The ambiance was fitting, but Natalie’s flavors rose above all. Thanks for an amazing evening!!

Our travel plans changed and we were easily able to move our reservations forward by a week.

Such a special place and unique dining experience! The food is fantastic, the portions are just right for sharing, order lots of small plates so you can try everything! The owners and servers make you feel like you are dining with friends.

It is hard to judge what was better, the staff or the food. Everyone from the hostess, to the waiter, to the owner, brought an amazing energy and a wonderful vibe to a very cool restaurant. The food was carefully curated and fresh. The waiter provided great suggestions for food, drinks, and dessert. 11/10 would recommend. I will be coming back anytime I'm back in Crested Butte.

This place rocks! Great food wonderful atmosphere and excellent service! When you eat you really feel like you are being taken care of from when you walk through the door until you leave!

A special establishment run by kind, fabulous people. I feel as if I made new friends coming here. Their wine list is sensible, approachable, but quite elegant. The food was outstanding; fresh and all farm-raised. My expectations were exceeded in every aspect and will be back ASAP

I met Chris on a mountain bike ride and he told me to stop by the restaurant when I got a chance. I had given Chris a spare tube for his bike so he said he'd repay the favor when we came to the sunflower. I'm so happy to say that my girlfriend and I were NOT disappointed. First, the waitstaff is just incredible, they're all so genuine and funny. It's obvious that they're all having a wonderful time and it was so refreshing to see them all so engaged with their customers. Second, the food is just incredible, the portions are small, yes, but that's sort of the point. You get to try a lot of different things. My girlfriend and I ended up with a four course meal as Chris told our waitress that they were going to show us some love. Our food was amazing, my girlfriend and I are usually the pizza and burgers type and the food definitely brought us outside of our comfort zone but it was delicious. We even got to chat with our chef, I don't know his name but he was great. Our waitress, Rachel, was incredible too, so friendly and had great recommendations.
Needless to say, this restaurant is a unique and incredible experience with mind blowing food. If you're in the mood for a really memorable and awesome dining experience, GO HERE!

Hands down the best dining experience I have had in years. I cannot say enough good things about this place. It truly is an experience and not just a meal. The service was outstanding, every team member worked methodically to help one another, they are a well-oiled machine. Not to mention everyone was very friendly and genuine. They pull off a special, unique experience without coming off like they are trying too hard and it really shows. The food is out of this world delicious, not over done or over the top, but beautifully presented and each ingredient is showcased perfectly. They source from local farms and everything was SO fresh. We chose 5 small plates and I can honestly say I can't pick a favorite they were all so good and so different. The portions were perfect, not too little where you feel like you aren't getting what you paid for and not too much where the flavors are compromised. The wine selection was broad and high quality. I absolutely can't wait to come back here - I've been dreaming of this meal ever since we went last weekend.

Best restaurant in CB by far! We always enjoy the cozy ambiance and the food is next level. I have never had a bad experience here 10/10 recommend.

Top Notch in every way: ambiance, service, food quality/taste, portion size, drinks were all exceptional. Best part was the service we received from Natalie and Chris, who it turns out are actually the owners. GREAT follow through from them re making and then helping us change our reservation. We are new to town and have been trying lots of the many great restaurants that CB has to offer, and this was my favorite. We felt WELCOMED, which is so great. Even our teenagers commented on the energy of the people working there. Oh, also thought the prices were really reasonable for food which is farm-to-table, creative fare. We will definitely be back.

Amazing food, great service from Ben! Worth taking time to enjoy a multi course meal. Plan ahead with this establishment. We were lucky with a week lead time to get a table.
