What a find. It's actually 20 miles outside of Helena and in Canyon Ferry on the golf course. The pics looked ok, and it was the only thing that came up on open table. When we pulled up and it was a very small rustic building I had begun to prepare myself for disappointment. But, this is really a randomly found gem of a place. Live music was great. The food was phenomenal. It was not a "bar and grill" menu. Filet mignon and prime rib, sea bass, two chicken options, real fresh grilled veggies, etc etc... I really wanted to try the filet, but given recent events I'm going to have to limit red meat intake. Grilled chicken with green Chile sauce was amazing.

Holy cow!! What an amazing experience we had on a very snowy winter night!!! An absolutely quaint cottage restaurant with INCREDIBLE food. They were so inviting and accommodating- especially in regard to dietary restrictions. A real hidden gem! Their bass is perfection. Would recommend to anyone seeking a special date night. Thank you so much for a beautiful night!

We attended a wine and dinner pairing that was absolutely incredible. Piper is always the quintessential hostess, she and her staff from the wait staff to the exquisite chef and su chef are fabulous! The Highlander is obviously the go-to spot in the Helena area. Thank you for treating us like royalty!

I wanted to show my out of state co-worker some of the countryside around Helena and looked for a good restaurant outside of Helena. We found this gem! The food was amazing and the ambience exactly what we were looking for (country charm). Our service was excellent. Five plus stars!

Really liked the food - three great prix fixe options. Good wine list and full bar. Really friendly staff - and boy were they hustling last night. The vibe was wonderful - a sunny evening, breeze and chill live music coming through the open windows, and people there to chill in groups vig and small. It was our first time there; won't be our last.

Who’d a thunk? The food here was amazing. I had the Chicken Alfredo, Best I’ve ever had. A massive amount of pasta. They do not hold back on their portions, so come hungry. The staff was friendly and fun. There are local beers on tap. The atmosphere is clean. The place is set on a par 3 golf course which looks to be fun.

Oh my goodness this place is off the chart incredible. Just on a MT road trip and I was drawn to the Highland Cattle our front, as we pulled down the driveway a railroad crossing set up guided us in and we got to park right in front of the biggest pig ever. Yes, a pig. This place is incredible - golf course meets working farm. Don’t miss it - staff is unbelievable sincere and incredible, food and presentation fantastic, live music and the determining factor of a five star review at a middle of nowhere bar and grill - ROSÉ!!!!

My wife and I enjoyed an anniversary dinner here last night. First time for us. The location is really nice, the service was great and the dinner was really good. I had the blackened walleye and I was not dissatisfied. A couple of drinks and kicking back to a live band- great evening. My only ‘complaint’ is that it was such a lovely evening I wish we would have dined outside!

Very nice atmosphere 👌. Staff is absolutely amazing and fun, when they have music, it's wonderful and adds to the eclectic montanan atmosphere. The food and drink selection is great. It's definitely a hidden gem!

The grounds are well maintained and beautiful. The food is very good and a nice option vs the other restaurants in the area (fried Sysco bar food). The best part is the staff. They're always friendly and attentive.

They also have live music on Fridays and Saturdays which is always excellent. This place is a jem.

Great place for dinner for 2 or friends. It's a drive though from Helena. A little pricey but worth it.

We will be moving to this area soon, so we stopped in to check it out on a Sunday afternoon. Sunday menu is brunch. Food was delicious. Friendly staff. Can’t wait to go back to try out the full dinner menu. The new owner has some great ideas for new food, fun, and entertainment. Looking forward to living just up the hill.

Great food with fast, friendly service. Excellent experience. The ribeye and sea bass were both very good. The live music out on the deck was a nice touch. I’ll definitely be back.

The artichoke dip is fantastic! And the pizza crust is the best I have ever had. Seriously. Great job!
