We were so pleased to find a very good restaurant in a small town York . They have a fun way of serving your order as the cook would yell out your name and everybody would start yelling for your name . We surely enjoyed the food and the onion rings are so so so delicious. Don’t leave without ordering the onion rings .

Typical gathering place/watering hole with great burgers, cold beer, full bar. Reminds me of lots places along the roads of America that just have to be experienced. Dollars staples to the walls and ceilings like the Salty Dog in Homer Alaska, Tortilla Flats in Arizona, whatever the name of that place is in Key West, FL...
Fun atmosphere. They have high chairs for the little ones too.

Worth driving to for just the food and drinks. But even better if you are out enjoying the plenty of great wilderness activities in the area, and cap it off with a visit. Burgers are legendary, and they have a great beer selection.

Very family friendly place. Had highchairs and booster seats. Small menu but the burgers were good. They were out of chicken nuggets the day we went so if you are picky be sure to call ahead. We went on a Sunday for lunch in January so was pretty quiet. The bottle of beer my husband got was slightly expired but was fine. So be sure to check if that concerns you.

I truly enjoyed this little hidden gem bar/ grill. I rode my HD motorcycle there from Great Falls and must say it was a beautiful drive to get there. It (York) is just several minutes from Helena but tucked away out of the populace just enough to make it feel very remote/ peaceful.
I had heard by word of mouth about there delicious burgers and could not wait to sink my teeth into one. I was amazed to find out from the friendly waitress/ bartender that the burgers were all 1/2 pounders‼👍 I ordered one up immediately with bacon ,mushrooms, and swiss. I was not disappointed, delicious 👌 - served with chips, and a York peppermint patty to top it off. I did observe other patrons ordering onion rings and deep fried pickles that appeared delicious and they will be put to the test by myself on future visits!
Yes, I shall return here to this little nugget sooner than later. If you are really hungry they do serve double patty burgers and yea that adds up to 1 pound+ with bun and condiments 👅

It is a great place for a burger with friends. We love to go on a day of riding our ATV's and stop at the York bar and grill for a fantastic burger. The ceilings and walls are covered with the decor of dollar bills left by generations of patrons, my grandson left one on a nearby wall and signed it. He can come back in 20 years and find it. Very rustic and log cabin with old historical pictures of the area.

Food is far more expensive then it would be expected. But i didnt mind because money does grow on trees. Damn good burgers, Great service, but I can't comment on atmosphere since I've only been to it once.

Best burger in a dive bar! They just have a tiny grill so no fries but the burgers are huge and delicious. The jalepeño poppers are the best I have EVER had served with jam to give a great sweet and spicy combo. Order at the bar so no table service. Great beer selection!

Fun bar! Came here for lunch after a hike in trout creek canyon and had the friend cheese curds (some of the best that I’ve had) and a great burger.

A real Montana experience near Helena but with a feeling of both remoteness and a place "where everybody knows your name ".

One of the most beautiful and scenic drives around Helena. Locals, hikers, bikers, hunters, tourists, survivalists, miner's, classical musicians, politicians and Episcopalians rub elbows.
Although paved and plowed there are animals and several treacherous curves along this route .

This is darn near the perfect saloon. In a town of about 80 residents, I believe this is the only business. The people are friendly and convivial. Don’t expect a gourmet experience but the burgers are delicious! The jukebox is good. They have billiards and other games. There are some couches by a fireplace and it has a cozy, wood paneled atmosphere.

Best burgers ever. The current owners are making the burgers as good as they were 10 years ago. Amazing taste and a fun atmosphere . Tiny mountain town just minutes from Helena. Easy short drive through a scenic canyon.

Known for their York Burger, it was fantastic. I am pretty sure I gave myself a gut ache eating all of it.

Had a burger and a beer after an ATV ride to hogsback, well as far as the snow would let us go. It was 60 and sunny so we sat outside on the deck. Several family members joined us for dinner. They are really not set up for parties of 11, but they took good care of us. Menu is pretty much burgers and appetizers, with a full bar.

Went to eat here on Election Day with my wife. The food here is always very good and at a very good price. I would consider this bar a hidden gem for folks looking to have a place to chill and have a good burger. If your a hunter I would recommend stopping here after a long day in the mountains.

Not sure if it's the ambiance or the delicious burgers that keep bringing me back to this place. Even the grilled cheese is one of my favorites. Friendly local bar that's worth the beautiful drive.

Made our Sunday night! The food was on point, the service was great!!! The cook asked how things were and if everything was good when we were finished. The bar tenders were friendly and welcoming! This will be our go-to place from now on.
