Buffalo Lodge

This place is fantastic! Years back as a truck driver I was stranded in a blizzard and the owners ( the wife ) cooked me up a hot meal. It was very late and of course I was not planning on being stranded but as a diabetic that needed food to eat in emergency this place and the owners was a Godsend.

Couldn't find a room in Cheyenne so headed north. As I was searching for the next hotel/motel the Buffalo lodge popped up. So I called and was able to reserve a room. The lady was so nice over the phone and when we got there, was not disappointed at all! Comfort, make you feel at home. Rooms are tiny but very clean in my opinion. Would stay again. Visited June 2021

Amazing! Had to stay the night due to the weather. The sweet lady cooked for us and made sure we had enough to eat. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed.

Amazing little spot to stop... Anytime I come through Wyoming this will be a place I will visit anytime I pass through. These individuals made me feel as if I just belonged here with their family. Don't miss this place in Chugwater, Wyoming... Definitely worth the stop...

Such wonderful people! My son got stranded when they closed I25 and I was able to call and get him a room right away. When I told her that he had been up all night, she put him in a room at the end of the hall where it would be nice and quiet so he could get some rest. He called as he was leaving and said, "Mom, they were so nice!" A kind word and good attitude goes a long way, it was a stressful situation for him and they made it much better. Thank you!!

Been a long day. Stepped in for a quick beer and stayed for a few. Excellent service and super friendly people made fora very enjoyable experience. And the new bar set up was definitely an upgrade from what previous pictures show. Of this place is on your route and tranquility is on your agenda give it a go. No menu per say but expect a delicious home cooked item to be ready when you are. Tonight is stew. Wonder what the future will bring. Check it out. I mean. What have you got to loose

Cozy environment and friendly staff. Bedrooms clean. Fire in the hearth in the lobby is so nice when cold outside. Great deal for the price.

Traveling from idaho to Kansas we stoped in. We got a warm welcome and a discounted room. The lady was really nice. It was late and me and my son had not eaten so she offered to make us a pizza. Dinner was good and the people were great. The rooms are a little dated but clean and comfortable. It's nice to be treated like family when your far from home. I recommend the stay.

We only needed a place to sleep on a road trip, but wanted to be farther from Cheyenne. This place was it. It is an older property, right by the roadside. I don’t think there were any dining options in “town” but we came prepared.

I do believe we were the only guests that night. The innkeeper was more than kind and contacted us ahead of time about our check in.

We broke down at 530 in the morning and they were more than willing to help us! Kind, good humoured, fun folks with cozy rooms. You won't regret a weekend getaway with these wonderful people.

This is one of the best places I have ever stayed. If you ask they cook a home cooked meal. Very nice place clean rooms nice bed clean sheets. Free pool and table tennis. Great prices for beer and liquor.

The owners are friendly. The place is very clean and homey. It was also very affordable. If you’re in the area and need somewhere to stay I definitely recommend coming here

They cook you dinner there. We had absolutely amazing home made pizza during our stay.

Friendly, helped us with a travelling issue. The rooms are cute and clean. Highly recommend!! Oh yeah great prices too!!

A couple years back i was stranded on my way to cheyenne.
And i ran out of gas.
A few hours later i found out they have gas. Just the red emergency gas. For 40 $ for two gallons. Now while thats a hassle and a over charge fee for ( trying to help some one out )
And while they had a attitude about it. And had me wsit about 20 min to get it when it was just outside the whole time. Im still to loyal to forget about how much they helped me. And to this day i appreciate these ppl.
In all honesty though it looks old n beat down.
And maybe they had a attitude because they dont like minorities.. Idk...
I wont return but thank yall

These folks know how to go the extra mile. I was traveling alone with my two kids and ran into some bad weather and needed to stay the night. They treated my children like they were their own. Now I will stay there even if the weather doesn't force us to stay.

Great BURGERS!!! James and his family run an amazing little bar/motel. Anytime I’m passing the area I’ll make sure to stop in and say hi! Won’t be disappointed if you want a quick bite and drink 🍻

Quaint and charming stop off. The beds were comfy and the room was clean, if not a little rustic. Might consider it again, should the occasion arise.

Great place to stay. Super clean and well maintained and cant get better owners. Highly recommend
