Sinclair Gas Station

My mom, grandma, and I were traveling by ourselves tonight when our check engine light came on. We drove to the nearest town and found this place. The worker helped us check the oil level and then add oil to the vehicle. He went above and beyond to help us. I cannot recommend this place enough and thank you again to the kind worker that made sure we were safe tonight.

We stayed two nights while exploring the area, hiking around along the road to Leslie Gulch and checking out the Pillars of Rome. This is a remote area, and yet Basque Station Motel was very clean, pleasant and all we needed. Don't expect the amenities you would find at a more populated area, but if you want a clean room with a comfortable bed and great service, this is the place to start your adventure. The store next door was a help in a town without restaurants, and the Rock House a few steps away had breakfast burritos, pastries and coffee.

I read through all of the reviews before making a decision. Cleanliness is our priority and not one complaint was a dirty room. I noted that the owner responded to travelers so I know they care. We are not concerned if a hotel is dated or lacking amenities. We want a clean room, comfortable bed, bathroom, and door front parking. This motel met all of our criteria. In fact, the entire toilet , though older, was cleaner than many of our hotel stays and no smell of mold in the shower. Here is a list of positives, contrary to some complaints, from our June 16, 2022 stay:

Check in is at the gas station. Remember, this person also works on cars and attends to the station. I perceive the employees of this business work hard, including housekeeping though I did not meet them. There is a survey in the room which again, tells me they care and will make changes, within reason, based on feedback. Thank you for a super pleasant stay Jim, or whomever runs this business.

I got a flat/leak on a very rocky road near town (Jordan Valley) on Sunday. I was able to drive to the station and asked if anyone was fixing flats and a very nice man answered, "yes". In the time it took my toddlers to eat an ice cream bar and for me to wash their hands and faces, the tire was fixed and back on my car. I'm so thankful for the service I received.

Yeah. The motel is a throwback to the early 1980s... but it’s cleaner than your typical Hotel. We walked into our room and realized Mr. Clean just vacated. Phone reservation, easy. Check in, friendly. Overall very happy after a hard long day of driving. Thank you for accommodating us (yes, they are pet friendly)! Good view of the sunset, small tv ( but we were so tired... it was never turned on), and pleasantly fast internet in an otherwise cellular-less town.

Was on vacation and had been dealing with a slow leak in a tire and this day it was leaking faster. I pulled in and seen that they had tire service on a Sunday of a holiday weekend. Awesome service and fast even with other customers in front of me. They took tire off car and then rim and found a screw in it. They patched the tire and sent me on the rest of the 2000 mile trip. Price was outstanding. What a friendly group of awesome people. Thank you

I got a flat tire near Alvord lake, was planning on spending time in remote areas. Headed to Jordan Valley to gas up and then to Idaho to get a tire for my truck. It was 9:30 at night. Much to my surprise not only did they have the correct size new tire for a very fair price (top quality too!) But we're willing to change the tire that night and have it ready for me in the morning. Dave who cared for us was really nice, directed to a nice place to camp for the night at Antelope reservoir.

We were passing through on our yearly hunting trip and we always get gas here. This time it was 2:30am and we needed a tire for our trailer. The night guy helped us with the tire and relieved a ton of stress since we didn’t have a spare. (We had to use it earlier in our trip). We will continue to get our gas at this station. Thanks for putting the service in service station.

I cannot even begin to put into words how grateful I am for this company and the employees here. Each and every individual that I spoke with went above and beyond to help my friend who was unable to make outgoing calls due to the fact that he was roaming. Kim did all she could to help me find the most inexpensive tire when we were on a tight budget and get my friend towed to their station almost 50 miles away to get him set for the road again.
Genuinely amazing customer service that restored my faith in humanity!

We can't thank the people at the gas station, the towing service, mini-mart and hotel enough for how good they were to us when our Tundra broke down 2 hours away from Jordan Valley at the end of Leslie Gulch. Evan and Pope went out the late at night to tow it back to Jordan Valley getting in after 2am. And if you don't know where Leslie Gulch is google it...beautiful unexpected rock formations but out in BFE. Shout out to Evan who diagnosed the problem with the Tundra, ordered the parts and had it fixed the next day...absolutely AMAZING!! And to the workers at the hotel and the mini-mart, thank you so much for lending us a cell phone to make some important calls and to allowing us to stay past our checkout time while our truck was being repaired. Great customer service and just great people who helped us in our time of need. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Came through after suffering a flat tire - expected to have to wait all morning and buy a new tire. Instead we had an affordable patch repair and drove off good as new within half an hour. Nice guy with good knowledge and great service!

I had a breakdown over an hour away from the shop and the guys worked tirelessly to help in any way they could even working until 1 am to get me back on the road for a big trip that I had only hours to spare to get too! I cannot thank them enough for their good spirits and problem solving that allowed me to get to back on the road in time to make my family trip!

Joe is my new hero! He replaced my damaged tire and took the time to do it well. Thanks also for inspecting my spare. You went above and beyond with my tight budget, and I love you. You too, Dave. Great place for tires.

We limped our car into Jordan Valley with engine problems. Kim was very helpful and once we got fed up with StateFarm roadside assistance ineptitude, we just paid out of pocket with hopes of getting reimbursed for the tow. They were able to tow us to Nampa in time to get to the dealership and rental outlet minutes before they closed. Amazing service. Thanks again!

Wasn’t going to rate this place but when I went to the restroom after filling up, I came out and the guy was cleaning my windshield. I was going to do it but totally forgot!! So thankful he did!!

Very thankful for Sinclairs help. I was stranded in the middle of nowhere, very far from home, after another vehicle smashed into mine. I got a ride from tow truck, rented a very clean room, and got things i needed from their store right before it closed. Really appreciate the great service!!!!

Great place for a pitstop! Wonderful people, excellent service, and a big 'ole friendly dog, is part of the welcoming committee. The bathrooms are clean as well. We had a wonderful experience, and won't hesitate to stop while passing thru.

Came in after a flat tire - attendant was super helpful and friendly. Patched up the tire instead of trying to sell us a new one and was quick and effective. Definitely saved us!

The guys here are superior! They will go outta there way to help a stranded person! Stop in if ur ever in Jordan Valley, Oregon. Get gas, visit the convenience & liquor store all in one! There's a hotel there if ya need to spend the night!!
