Stayed,one night in mid-September, 2021.
A great place to stay! Clean, roomy & decor was beautiful as it was recently redone. Our TV made odd noises when changing the channel but that's the only negative. Staff was welcoming and kind. It was a wonderful quiet night's rest. Met the owner in the morning and he was really nice. We'd like to return one day soon and stay longer.

What a great find! I only spent one night but will definitely be back. Great location, could walk to everything in town and lots of good places to eat close by.
Loved the staff especially Miles at check in and out; what a lovely guy and had local recommendations that were spot on.
Great 1960's motel, enjoyed walking around the grounds and sitting amid the trees looking at the views.
My room was comfortable and spacious. Good to have a fridge and a microwave, a table and chairs at the picture window. My bed was so comfortable and the shower had plenty hot water.
Yes, this is an older property that the new owners are trying their best to update. It was built in the 1960's and so some features are outdated. But it's such a lovely property, I'm so glad I found it.

We stayed one night, the hotel is older and a but dated. But the room was huge with a large dressing area off the bathroom. It just seam a bit sort of eerie for some reason. We just felt strange that they put us all the way in the back of the complex so many rooms but hardly anyone there. The beds were comfortable so for one night it was good and the price was reasonable.
I would say that if your in the area take a look there are other hotels in the area but the decided to stay here because it was pet friendly and no pet fee.
Do your research.

We had a quick stay here while traveling!! It was very affordable which was why we chose it!! But being greeted by the sweetest woman( wish I remembered her name) was one reason we will be back! Clean and quiet! Beds very comfortable! Not a very fancy modern place but I imagine you wouldn’t stay here if that’s what you were looking for! The man who was at the desk at checkout was just as kind as the woman!!! I will definitely be back and I highly recommend for a reasonably priced and clean place to stay! The rooms were adorable as well!!!

This place is so cute! There's even a little art gallery hall! It's also within walking distance of downtown, so that was a major plus. The owner greeted us quickly and kindly, and he gave us room 119, which has an awesome little story behind it ☺ The room itself is a corner spot, with two windows, a massive bathroom, and a little patio. And it was so clean! When we checked out, Sheryl, the director of sales, was so great. 10/10 will stay here again!

(Our stay was in Sep 2021) Though I'm 75 and was only traveling with one companion, this is a great spot for families. If you're traveling with a family, you're missing something if you're not staying here! I've visited in the past, but it was a long time ago. It's so spacious, and that includes the rooms. I never liked the strange ceilings - and have to admit the lighter color paint does help - but the hand-adzed beams are still phenomenal and I'm sorry they ever painted them. This place used to be proud of its history - would tell you all about when it was built and the couple who designed and built it - the Kachinas in the lobby - but now there's no mention of them. I think that's a shame, it's what makes you want to be here. We were treated well - not a single thing was wrong with our room (except I would have liked a 3-pronged outlet nearer the table) - it was very clean and spaciously comfortable. Thank you for the grab-bars in the shower! Thank you for the late-night bonfire. Thank you for the wonderful chairs and table outside our door. Thank you for the good beds and pillows. The doors could use a bit of planing - but we felt secure and I thank you for that also!

Many reviews mention bedbugs, but my group had 3 rooms which were clean and bug free. They are obviously making efforts to bring the quality of the property up, and the renovations are done reasonably well. The AC in my room didnt work at first, the front desk apologized profusely and would have given me another room if they weren't full. They sent maintenance over within 10 minutes at 930pm with a fan and to look at the AC. The maintenance man was very polite and friendly.

The bathroom was clean and well overhauled recently. Fridge and microwave in room.

I would stay here again!

Had a great experience here. Good location, beautiful historic property, lots of personality and amenities. Stayed in one of their newly renovated rooms-- plenty of space for four adults with lots if gear. Also maybe the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, wanted to take it home with me. Didn't try to hot tub but another in our group said it was fantastic. Management was extremely friendly and accommodating. Excited to see some of their upcoming changes planned-- will definitely be back!

Honestly, this place is actually pretty great, wasn't expecting it! The price to have dogs in your room is unbeatable (the price for humans is pretty great too), and I've travelled a lot so I know how difficult it is. The staff is really friendly and kind. There's basically a small park within the complex, which is again perfect for the dogs. It's a really cute spot. Yeah, nothing but good things to say here!

Lovely mostly ground floor rooms where you can park right outside your door. I always love that option! Easy unload and load. Spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Shower/ tub in the room. Clean plank vinyl flooring. Table and chairs and spacious bathroom. Near everything!! What's not to love? Great price! We'll be back!!

We had a lovely stay at the Kachina Lodge! It's dog friendly with a big park inside the property, the staff was very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful, the rooms were super clean and newly remodeled, and there were really cool paintings and other beautiful New Mexican designs throughout - all at a fantastic price! We will definitely be back, this was such a cool place in Taos. It's only a 30 minute drive to ski valley for your ski vacation!

My friend and I found this spot upon arriving in Taos, and everything about it was great. The room was clean and spacious, and there was a balcony looking over the main building across from us (we were in the building up behind the main entrance building). I got talking to the new owner who told me many stories; there's a lot of cool history here! Also an amazing art gallery, as the original owner was an art collector. The only bummer was the pool not being open, but considering covid that's true everywhere. I went out for a walk later in the evening, up and down the street; it's right next to EVERYTHING! So cool. Definitely recommend.

Miles at Kachina Lodge was very accommodating to us! We were late in arriving, and he stayed an hour past his shift in order to check us in. We like the room set up, with the tile floors and separate dressing/bathroom area, and our fur babies were able to stay with us too😍Very convenient location also, being closer to Taos Ski Valley. We’ll be back!

Very spacious rooms...love the Taos decor..the layout...Fire pit in the evening to stargaze....close to the Plaza and things of interest. Would love to come back here.. stay in our same room and spend more time in Taos....like stepping into another world. Loved the people..the style of clothing..the cuisine...the architecture so unique to New Mexico. Loved it all!

Clean and recently remodeled!. Great place to stay. There are two nice chairs for sitting out on the walkway outside your room. Quiet, great location, lots of rooms but not a crowded feeling the way they're spaced out

Every time we decide to come to New Mexico to do hiking or biking we make it a point to drive to Taos and stay here. I have never been welcomed at any hotel like I have been here the staff is incredibly friendly and very helpful. Our rooms are always very clean and if we need anything the staff jump thru hoops to make sure we get it.

The kachina lodge has been our adventure hub for the Taos area for the past week.

We had an incredible stay, the staff is so amazing and friendly (Hi Miles!) and it’s an owner operated property.

We spent time speaking with the owners about all the hard work they have done over the past 2 years and their vision of bringing the property back to its original, artistic character.

This place has a lot of history and was a go to destination for decades until the previous ownership stopped maintaining it and improving it.

There is so much hard work that goes into the revitalization of a 🏨. We loved our stay and we highly recommend the Kachina Lodge, it’s a great value!
