This was such an awesome tour and easily one of the best city tours we’ve done !!
I was a bit reluctant to book at first - vintage street cars with a guide dressed in vintage 1920’s clothes- could have been very cheesy.
But, based on all the glowing reviews, I booked.

Our guide & driver was Kylie , and boy was she amazing, and funny and entertaining! And so informative too - she made everything so interesting and fun. We were laughing our way around town.

I honestly don’t think there was any that could be improved on this tour - everything was just absolutely perfect.
Just the right amount of history, mixed with just the right amount of sights, and just the right amount of stops. And just a touch of cheesiness !
Highly recommended!

We booked through Carnival so we knew it would be "good", but they were both AMAZING! Absolutely blown away.
We didn't know was the same company, but timing wise we were able to do both the Streetcar in the morning, grab lunch at the pier (Skagway Fish Co. was delicious!!) And then the To The Summit bus tour after lunch.
Same company, incredible service & tour guides on both.
Both stopped for incredible picture opportunities, both very knowledgeable, and both different so we got the "below the mountain" and the "above the mountan" information.
Our "To The Summit" tour guide even gave us a photo album of his personal photos to check out what he's seen and done with his doggo in Alaska. That personal touch was not needed but was incredibly touching to see.
Will recommend to anyone!

We took the Summit Scenic Drive with Dough and if I could give 10 stars, I would! Doug is an AMAZING guide who can weave the tale of the goldrush with such eloquence we felt we were there. We've never taken the White Pass train, but I think this was probably a better option since we got to stop along the way for pictures. He was a lot of fun and truly a great asset for your company!

We thoroughly enjoyed our To the Summit tour with our driver Paul. He had 14 years of experience and told us not only about the area but also many personal and other stories that made the tour come alive. This tour had amazing views and many stops to just get out and enjoy this magnificent area. So many pictures were taken. I can't recommend him enough and thank him for making this excursion one of the best we have ever enjoyed on a cruise.

Enjoyable ride through Skagway as the tour guide tells stories from the gold rush days. The worth of this tour depends heavily on your tour guide's personality and storytelling ability, as there's not a tremendous amount to see. The Gold Rush Cemetery is one of the highlights. Very enjoyable and low-key time investment here. Skagway itself is fun to explore by foot as well.

Valerie was our guide. She was absolutely fabulous! Fun, informative, helpful, upbeat.... just a joy to spend time with, learning about Skagway. The tour took us to an amazing view of the city from up above, history about the town, a visit to the old cemetery, and a drive around the town. It was so worth the time and money. Thank you for a memorable experience!

I have taken both the “To the Summit” van tour and the Skagway Streetcar tour. Both were very entertaining at a very good price. The owner, Steve Hites, is a longtime Skagway resident who gives shows as a storyteller on Carnival ships. “To the Summit” took us to White Pass and over the Yukon border. The streetcar tour showed us around Skagway and to the historic cemetery where local legends Soapy Smith and Frank Reid are buried. Drivers were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic in their jobs. Highest recommendation!

Our tour guide, Anna, was a true story teller! She was knowledgeable and so entertaining. We toured Skagway while she regaled us with history and stories of life in her delightful town. A wonderful excursion!

It’s no exaggeration to say Skagway has some of the most beautiful views in the world. Skagway Streetcar Company gave us the rich and fascinating history to go along with all that one of a kind scenery.

Our tour guide was Andrew, he was world class. He recited classic poems inspired by the gold rush from memory. He gave us the sordid legend of Soapy Smith, and a glimpse into the daily life of modern Skagwayans.

Of all the excursions we had in Alaska this was the most fun. If you are having trouble picking what to do in Skagway, GO DO THIS. You won’t regret it. Don’t forget to try a spruce tip beer!

We embarked on a streetcar tour of the town of Skagway, Alaska today on the tour company's 100th anniversary to the DATE AND TIME of their first-ever tour (July 11, 1923 at 10AM) when they showed President Warren Harding around the town.

Steve, our tour guide, was fantastic and gave us a beautiful historical tour of the city that he has lived in for over 50 years.

Steve Hites himself conducted our tour and it was INCREDIBLE! I will admit that my expectations were not high, but it ended up being one of the most professional, well-presented, and most entertaining tours I’ve ever been on. Our family thoroughly enjoyed it.

We had such a blast. These are not regular tour guides, they are cast actors at work with passion and love doing their job! I highly recommend this tour while you’re in Skagway.

Incredible experience! Our guide Andrew was knowledgeable, energetic, and hilarious. He told the story of Soapy Smith, a very dramatic historical figure of the town, in a suitably dramatic and compelling way. Very interesting, fun and professional tour.

Andrew, our driver and guide was two hoots and a holler! Charming Bride and I enjoyed the tour, the views, and the commentary from Andrew! Witty comments and a great historical perspective of Skagway. We were pleasantly and happily surprised! This is a MUST in Skagway.

We enjoyed our tour of Skagway we took on 04 Jun 2008 as one of our excursions while on our Princess cruise. Nikki was our driver and she was a delightful and informative guide. The drive and short slide show was a great way to get to know Skagway.

Highly recommended.

The Skagway Streetcar Company tour was among my travel companions and my favorite adventures on our Alaskan cruise. Peggy was a great tour director and we did not have any idea of what we would be doing on our tour. It was great. If you are wondering if you should or should not take it, take it. It was great. Loved this excursion. I felt I was back in the old days. Our guide was very entertaining. She loved our excitement and gave us the presidential tour.

Skagway is quite small so the young ladies who led our tour didn't have too much material to work with but they made a superb job of entertaining us for the duration of the trip. We managed to take in all of the town and the idea of dropping us off in the main street allowed us to get a feel of the place.

It is a tourist town. We found one shop which would be of use to anyone living there but there was a great deal for us, the visitors, to see.

Best tour company in Skagway. Extremely qualified guides. Majority of guides live in Alaska full time. All have fantastic facts, stories, and information about Skagway, the history of Alaska, and the gold rush as well as a lot of information of the places they have traveled and lived in around the world (Even Antarctica)!

I visited Skagway on June 28th and my family thought that this would be something fun to do. Our cute yellow bus was driven by Sabrina, a hilarious and fabulous tour guide. The information was informative, although I want to fact-check some of it. Either way, it was a great and entertaining way to spend our day in Skagway and learn a little about the city simultaneously. Would recommend this!
