We were starving when we arrived and unfortunately we had to wait about 20 minutes, but let me tell you it was worth the wait! The host staff and the service was stellar. The food and the show was on point and entertaining! We’ve always loved this place and will continue to return!

Went for friends birthday (but mostly for the Sake)! Get the sweet flavored sake, and make sure it’s the cold one, that’s the best one they serve. Large meals, you can split a single order but we bought 2 full meals, because who doesn’t like Bonsai leftovers?! Definitely even more fun going to dine here for your birthday!

Had a very special 50th birthday for my wife and we had our closest dearest friends and family there 16 of us and we were taken care of like royalty and we all sat together with two separate chefs , the food was awesome the chef was awesome all on a snowy night day after New Year's. Highly recommended. Well done Bonsai, see you soon.

I’ve never been to a Japanese Steakhouse before. Last night my coworkers and I went for dinner. I was so pleased with the service, the chef was amazing, and the food…words can’t express how good it was. I was so impressed. They don’t take reservations but I had called and put our name on the list (18,) once everyone was there we were seated and they had the table ready for us before we arrived. They had 2 U shaped tables that sat us all comfortably which allowed us to interact with each other . The chefs interacted with everyone and the atmosphere was fun and energetic. I’ll definitely go back.

One of my all time favorite restaurants! Bonsai is the place our family goes for special occasions and celebrate special achievements! The service is always great and the food is amazing. The portions are big so I always leave feeling full!

These guys are brilliant! Food theatre at its best! 10 out 10 for our chef Lei, he provided a superb, entertaining dining experience! The waitresses were also quick with refills! Highly recommended!!!

This place is a fun place for a night out. We were seated very quickly and enjoyed a delicious meal at the restaurant. The food came out promptly and our chef was excellent. They cook right in front of you and have lots of fun tricks during the process of cooking the food. The shrimp are my favorite, they are so fresh and delicious. The veggies are cooked perfectly and melt in your mouth. The sauces are amazing! Our chef actually created the sauces and told us which ones to dip for which food. The gyoza was so yummy, I could have eaten 100 of them! We love coming here for birthdays and anniversaries. We ordered the bonsai dinner for two which came to about $70. Well worth it for the show and for the delicious food.

The food is always excellent, but the portions are a bit smaller than similar establishments. But we come here for the better quality and better service. They are always accommodating for large parties and the chefs always put on a fun show.

Fun atmosphere, chefs prepare food on the grill in front of each table. The food was seasoned with sweet/salty sauces that was pretty overpowering. I would ask for light sauce if you’re sensitive to salt or sugar. The quality of the meat was great too, so it was a bummer it was hidden by an explosion of flavor. Overall very satisfied, just go easy on the sauce!

Always busy, come expecting a long wait. Food is really good, great experience. Definitely worth it. Expect $30/person at least after tax/tip.

Bonsai is a great less expensive alternative to P.F. Chang’s and the show they put on is just as great! The chef was Funny, but still allowed us to talk amongst ourselves without intervening.

Within minutes of sitting down, our orders were placed and salad and soups were given. Food came soon after. It was perfect all aground timing for a party of 8.

Will definitely try this place again if I’m in the area!

Good quality teppanyaki cooking with excellent and friendly service. Another group at our station had a birthday; the singing included tambourines and a gong. They do not have sushi on the menu.

Always a good time! Celebrated my birthday! They played the "kong" to the tune of happy Birthday. First time I have seen/ heard that. They take your pic and add it to their wall.

I brought my father and child here on a whim. I just walked in and was seated immediately by kind and smiling staff. The drink orders came quickly and never ran out. I drink very fast and I reached the bottom of my glass like 3 times the whole time. The food was made beautifully. My daughter told the chef she was scared of fire but he was wonderful he did his whole show and she was no longer scared. He was super kind. I wish I could remember his name. The food came out much faster than Benihana and was all wonderful. They DO NOT have sushi. Do not make that mistake. It is very loud, but when the crouds quiets down the music is nice and relaxing. The check came out quickly. I got a kids meal and two steak combos and my bill was only about $88. A little more after tip. Very affordable. Overall I'm very pleased.

We eat here like once a month, or try to. It’s always delicious and most the chefs have a great sense of humor. My kids love the show and for the price the food is AMAZING.

When it comes to Japanese food, this is the best choice in Utah, tons of fun, its food and an experience and the food is to die for. I’ve been coming here off and on through the years and it’s well worth the money!

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was entertaining. The service was great. Our glasses were always full and they were efficient at taking away plates and bowls once we were done with them. We will definitely be back

This place is delicious! Everything was cooked perfectly and the filet melts in your mouth. Also super fun place for a birthday my little sure enjoyed being treated so special. Thank you guys for always being so great to us.

We went to celebrate my friend birthday and we had a wonderful time! All the staff was great very friendly and fun. Food was delicious I definitely will come back. Rebeca our waitress was very friendly and she explained to us if we had a question on the food. I really love the atmosphere of the place and the food was excellent. We all love the flavors and the Chef was very nice and fun. I will definitely will come back.

Been to the big chains hibachi grills and I feel like I had a more enjoyable time here. The main cook was great and provided a great show. We didn’t need a reservation. We got seated pretty quickly.
