Bites On Broadway

We're from Hawaii, and was on our 7day/7night Princess Cruise to Alaska.

We took a side street to purchase liquids. We found a hidden gem called: Bites on Broadway.

WOW!!! What a wonderful experience we had there. The owners were filled with the same Aloha Spirit that we are accustomed to here in Hawaii.

The food was great, the desserts were incredible, but, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The conversation was authentic & loving.

Turns out, this was the BEST spot we experienced while off-shore.

It is truly sad that the busses that take you around the city, will tell you that "Star Bucks" or some other watering hole is on the main street. But, the BEST watering hole is located at the end of town, hidden down a street.

I'm soooo glad we found Bites on Broadway & even more elated to meet two great guys who are so authentic & loving.

Amazing breakfast/lunch spot. Highly recommend the breakfast sandwich and coffee options! Friendly staff and decent pricing for this tiny town!

Yummy Build-Your-Own Breakfast Sandwiches! Fast service, hot food, and super friendly owners! We enjoyed their breakfast sandwiches (customized to each of our likings), and the old fashioned donuts as a sweet treat. Recommend!

We stopped by here for lunch after doing a hike and float shore excursion. It was recommended by our guide and it did not disappoint. The owner was friendly and shared a lot of local history while we enjoyed freshly made croissant sandwiches. It was clear that all baked items were house made and done with great pride for what was being served. Definitely worth stopping in for a pastry if you are not hungry for a meal. I would go back.

When my boyfriend and I visit any location, we try and find local shops to eat at - sometimes it's hard, especially in more tourist-centric parts of town. Which is why I can't recommend this place enough. 😀 It's a walk down the main drag, but totally worth it. Savory treats, great lunch/breakfast, desserts...and the coffee is the best in town. We recommend the cheese and bacon biscuit for a quick snack! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, as well. We'll be back!

This is a local shop that moved off the main street and into an unassuming little shop down the side street. Happened to stop by because we visited the park next door. You can't tell from the outside but the rug at the wide open doors lets you know you're in the right place. The coffee and muffin we ordered were good but the folks behind the counter really made it an excellent visit. And if you have kids, they have a giant pile of beautiful rocks for kids to have/dig through as their parent order.

The food and coffee were great. I built my own delicious breakfast sandwich. Service was fast and friendly.

Authentic spot. 30min walk from ships through downtown. We had breakfast here and it was nice. Highly recommend it.

An amazing experience. Great food and even better staff. Was a little confused to start by the Google location that is off. They are right at the intersection.

Delicious variety of options and great service. They also can work with allergies! Sulfite sensitivity safe if you order the three egg omelette with no potatoes.

The coffee is also incredible; they serve Heritage which is the best coffee in the region.

This was the second time here and the service has definitely gotten better since dine in service was added. The Jalapeno Bagel is the best I've had outside New Jersey & New York, couple that fill some delicious reindeer sausage and you've got a heck of a breakfast sandwich!

Do yourself a favor and walk a few blocks more down Broadway to get to Bites On Broadway. Nils and Skipper, the owners, are wonderful folks. Much preferred their cafe and restaurant to the more touristy sit down restaurants closer to the cruise ship dock. Great coffee and hot chocolate.

The Elk Burger and Rhubarb Tea were excellent and the staff were so sweet and friendly. Great meal after a few hours on the train. LGBTQ friendly. ❤ FYI no bathroom located inside the restaurant for customers.

Had a great experience here while exploring Skagway. Very welcoming staff, wonderful cappuccino, delicious salted caramel cookie, and I can’t rave enough about their Sweet Potato Butter. Wow! FYI: no wifi. But good to get off phone now and then.

Quickly accommodated a family of 13. Excellent pastries, good coffee. Wonderful service. Highly recommend.

Amazing atmosphere, welcoming staff and fantastic music. Quality food and drinks at great prices. Great way to start the day.

Was introduced to Bites on Broadway about three years ago. It is always superb with tons of bakery choices as well as sandwiches and soups. Best coffee in AK and the owners are the nicest! Great gluten free options!!!! I love the breakfast sandwich!!!

Simply amazing, no words can explain the quality of food and the friendliness of the staff, I love it, can't wait to go back.

We found this place by just walking and are so glad we did. The food was so amazing for breakfast that we went back for lunch. The German chocolate cake was out of this world. The owners were super nice and gave us some great tips on the city. If you’re in Skagway, this is a must stop.
