Very good! It's a big tourist trap, but worth it if you want a traditional treat. It's kind of like a big flat donut, covered in cinnamon sugar. It is delicious, soft and crunchy in some places, and comes out freshly made.
According to the employee, this is what the people in the gold mining years made because it was quick and easy and cheap to make.
I definitely recommend getting this if you want to try a traditional local treat and get a nice picture! But just note, it's similar to a donut!

Fun little stop for a snack. One of the better snacky souvenir shops in town I thought. Some local flavor Candies, Caribou summer sausages, boxed salmon, jerky, birch syrup, random gifts and of course some pretty good fry bread served up deliciously hot and loaded with cinnamon sugar!

Cute little shop in downtown Skagway. They have a little something for everybody in there, but their specialty is fried dough, much like an elephant ear that you would get at a county fair. It was insanely good.

The bread was warm, sugary, and tasted great. It was a wonderful pick me up after walking around the town. They had a variety of items to purchase and drinks as well. I wish they had tables or chairs there to sit at but instead went back towards Broadway Street to sit on any bench we could find.

The doughboy donuts are great!
They have jam and jelly and a wide assortment of souvenir gifts!
The people are so friendly. There is usually a line but worth the wait.

Our tour bus driver told us that we had to check this place out. So while walking around exploring downtown we stopped in. So delicious! And very reasonable price of $7. We almost went back for another after walking about a little more.

There was a long line but we got out pretty quick. The dough was delicious and fresh! One of these was good enough for me and my hubby. They also have souvenirs and shaved ice. Everyone is friendly as well!

If you’re ever in Skagway, Alaska you’ve got to stop by. We found this place by accident, but enjoyed their famous doughboy. We were walking along the streets doing the touristy thing and noticed a couple eating some type of bread. At first we thought it was a funnel cake, but they told us it was a doughboy from a shop around the corner. We decided to give it a shot. The store was a bit small, but there was a lot of stuff packed into it. No seating inside, so take it to go.

Delicious fried dough covered in cinnamon sugar. Looks like a big Mexican "sopa pia" and taste like one too. Highly recommend and a must when visiting.

I ate it everytime I was here and that says a lot. I just love how it is freshly fried and hand it over to you. You'd be covered in sugar afterwards but it is sooooo worth it. And it is a perfect match with coffee you can get from the next door coffee shop called glacial coffeehouse

I had heard about this shop from various cruise blogs and youtube vlogs. A doughboy is basically an Indian fry bread or a large flat funnel cake with cinnamon sugar. They have a small shop with some things like tea and hot sauce as well. The line moved quick and I got my doughboy pretty quick. They are large and definitely sharable. It was hot right out of the fryer when we received it so be careful but also having it be warm hit the spot on our windy day in Skagway. It was perfect for snacking while walking along broadway. There are also a couple benches right outside that you can snag to sit and eat if they aren’t already taken. It was a yummy warm snack! Highly recommend!

This is one of the must-stop places of Skagway. Thousands of cruise boat tourists a day walk around town eating the Doughboy, and you’ll see why when you try it. Simple cinnamon and sugar on fried dough. Can’t go wrong there. It was delicious.

Great place for a snack while exploring Skagway! Really enjoyed the doughboy. Had a Mountain Dew which wasn’t available on our ship. Got some other treats like chocolate and gummies to take home as souvenirs too. Besides the fry bread being delicious, the staff really made us feel welcome.
We thought we could split a doughboy between two people, cause they are pretty big. However, we ended up stopping back again on our way back to the ship to share a second one. Really a highlight of exploring the city!

What gem of a place we found after our train ride. We saw the sign and wandered in, so glad we did. The warm fried dough, the crunch from the cinnamon sugar, we loved (and fought over) every last bite! If you're ever in Skagway.... do yourself a favor and stop in! It's a magical experience. Can't guarantee you'll get a rainbow afterward eating a Doughboy.... but we did!

Yes! Yes! Yes! These rock so much we came back later in the day for a second one! This small unassuming gift shop on a side street of Skagway has these absolutely amazing fried dough treats for only $6! They are cooked to order, not greasy at all and are covered in the perfect amount of cinnamon sugar. Service is quick and the people working there are friendly. It’s not fancy and your napkin is a paper towel but it’s totally worth getting. Drinks and souvenirs are also available.

Hot, tasty snack - simple but delicious. Only wish there had been the idea of welcoming you to eat inside on a cold, rainy day.
