There are tons of things that this place does well: hydroponics onsite for fresh greens, great variety of local beer, helpful staff. But the highlight would be the specials, they are daily but rotate and not once have they been a miss. I particularly like the halibut salad and the burgers are all really great. Rotating desserts too.

We had an amazing experience here. The Halibut fish & chips were great. The coating was crisp and the fish was light and flaky. The French fries were hot and crisp outside with fluffy insides. My wife got the onion rings and she said they were the best onion rings she ever ate! The beer flight allowed my to sample 4 local brews and I like the spruce tip blonde the best. Thank you SBC for making our time in port very enjoyable!

First time here and everything was just right. Tuesday nights are Burger nights and will probably be the day I spend most here. The Tiramisu 🙌🏽 is a must-have.

Stopped into Skagway Brewing Company during our cruise port stop and were very happy with our choice. It’s a great environment with what I’d describe as upscale bar food. We started with drinks of course - double makers and coke and a double Rubarabarita which was extremely tasty. It was very well made with a house made rhubarb syrup and was not too sweet. We shared a bowl of Halibut Chowder which had us licking the bowl. Next up we had the Alaskan fish n chips in sandwich form. The fish - Greenling - definitely rivals a halibut and was fried up to perfection. If you live in the area you are lucky to have this gem close by and if you happen to be in the area this is a 10/10 recommend. The menu is filled with great options.

A nice place with a bar (no food) and a gift shop on the 1st floor and a restaurant on the 2nd.
We visited the restaurant 3 times during our 3 day stay at Skagway.
While the atmosphere is a bit simple (think of a diner), the food is terrific, and the service is nice and more importantly, really fast.
Halibut and Chips were great and not greasy (as they are often in many places).
Blackened halibut salad (I took half salad, I wonder how huge if the full one...) was real good. Popcorn shrimps were eaten in a blink of an eye....
As the name of this place suggests, they brew their own beer. Try it, it is good.

P.S. Do not expect to see much crab in the crab spread. It was mainly artichoke and cheese spread. Good one, but not a crab one.

Went in mid October and seemed to be the only open restaurant that late in the season. I'm glad they were as it was a great lunch! I had the salmon salad and local beer flight. I'd definitely go back there!

Swing by in a recent stop on a cruise ship. Very wide menu with great food. All the beer is made in the house and quite tasty. If you happen to be in Skagway, don’t miss a stop to the Skagway brewing company you won’t be disappointed.

Boy oh boy did I enjoy the fish and chips here. The fish didn’t taste “fishy” which was a pleasant surprise. The bartenders were so friendly. I got a flight of the local beers to test out and she helped me pick out some good ones. A little pricey, but when I come back to Skagway I will definitely be hitting up this brewing company again as I still need to taste the chowder because they only have it about every other day!!

Chuck was our server and he was awesome. The beer and food was great too. Loved the Spruce Tip Blonde Ale so much and they also have the BEST fish and chips ever! Highly recommend the sesame salmon salad and the Alaskan sandwich too. One of the most enjoyable restaurants we’ve ever been to while on vacation.

Visited 9/18/23 while on our first cruise! Such a great place to eat and hang!! The golden king crab was everything i needed it to be! Fresh!! Delish! The beers were amazing! The Spruce Tip Blonde is hands down the BEST beer I've ever tasted!! I wish I could have it down here in GA!
But don't worry, I WILL be back to have it again!

Great restaurant right off the main street. Friendly staff and updated upstairs dining room. We did not sit downstairs in the bar. Food came quickly and was nice and hot. Servers were great and conveyed dietary issues with the kitchen. Had the reindeer hot dog and it tasted very good.

After a long day of panning for gold and taking the White Pass train to Canada and back, my family and I were starving!

We love a good brewery, and chose this one when we wandered into town. We dropped our name off at the hostess station, ordered up some beers and played a round of pool.

Our name was called and we were taken upstairs to the dining area, where we ate the most delicious food you ever laid eyes on. I had the Alaskan Golden King Crab…boy howdee, it was the best darn crab legs I ever had! Fresh, hot, steamy and cooked to perfection! The family had the Crabby Mack + Cheese (I had a few bites of this too…..woooooweeeee), truffle fries, and a burger.

Now this food was soooo good, I have only the two pictures of the crab I ate!

Let me tell you, there were no complaints from the table!

Can't say enough about the FISH N CHIPS and the truffle fries here! We have rv'd in Alaska all summer and visited every Port town... Seward, Valdez, Soldotna, Homer, Anchorage Talkeetna, Whittier, Palmer and Wasilla. Everyone raved they had the best Halibut! Everytime we were disappointed! Mind you, we are from the seafood captiol Florida... we know our fish! This place can honestly rave that they do have the best Halibut fish n chips! Thank You! And a shout out to the manager! Thank You for such a wonderful experience! Next time I am gonna try your fresh grown salads!🐟 🐠 🎣 🐡

A must visit. The staff and management are some of the most considerate and nice people. They do get very busy, so you will likely need to be patient and understanding. They also took the time to give us a tour of their growing facility. It was amazing. If we ever get back here, we will definitely go back.

I am not a beer drinker but the spruce tip ale was delicious and refreshing. The halibut fish and chips were delicious. All of the food looked amazing. Cute must stop establishment. Everyone was polite and the restaurant was very clean.

The fish and chips (halibut) were amazing. I enjoyed my meal here. It is a bit pricey but really enjoyable food. They also had a really great side salad.

Good beers and quick service considering they process tons of cruise ship passengers. I stuck with just getting beers and soft pretzels from the side of the bar which is quicker but has a limited menu. Barley wine was pretty nice. Just be aware, they have an up charge for large groups, even from the self order line which seemed odd.

We had the local caught halibut fish and chips. It may have been the best fish and chips I have ever had. The coleslaw was also really good. Cajun fries were delicious, mild-medium spicy.
I gave them 4 stars for atmosphere because it was crazy busy and quite loud when we went.
Even with it being busy, service was great and we had our food very quickly.

Very fast service. So many good choices. I really enjoyed my salad and the fries. Beer was good too. Good selection on the kids menu as well. It was busy and pretty loud as expected.

Such a cool brewery to visit. Food selection was great and the server was friendly. Definitely a busy crowd to manage when everyone’s there at once. Worth popping in to grab a bite to eat and try out a few of their beers.
