Highly recommend the grounds after the meal! Bring someone you know will embrace the rich history of the Mill. Our past can become our future unexpectedly and these museums will give value to the memories of hard times but a simpler way of living daily life.
It’s beautiful.

Such a nice place to visit! There was a blacksmith & park ranger showing how they made clothing & blankets. It was very informative. There was also the beautiful mill to explore. We did not eat at the restaurant because there was a long wait. We did visit the gift though which had a nice variety of items.

We were there for a brunch. The day we went there it was absolutely busy, It is a very small restaurant and the wait times were therefore quite long. But we were also lucky that the weather was nice and warm so we had the possibility to walk through the premises and watch a blacksmith and jarn production demonstration. So after all it was not that frustrating that we had to wait one hour. It is a old classic country style restaurant, with simple furniture that matches the whole ambience. The food was good and prepared fresh, the staff was very friendly and overall the restaurant and restrooms were clean and in good condition.

The food was AMAZING! My husband doesn't eat any turkey that he hasn't smoked on the grill. He kept going back for another bite, even after he said he couldn't eat any more. The staff are so friendly and spot on. We will be back to try everything else on the menu. Thank you to them for a most memorable get away with my husband Keith for the day.

This place is great for fall visits, as well as summer time. I took a parkway all the way and throughout the way I got to enjoy fall colors. But the Mill itself is beautiful. You can walk around and see how people lived 100 years ago and what kind of tools they had. From farming to blacksmith and whiskey making. And when you get hungry restaurant is right there. On the way back stop by at few overlooks. Gorgeous views.

Great food! Our first time here. Had the chicken pot pie, best I've ever had! I can't wait to come back! Great little store with souvenirs, jewelry, clothes, ect right there in the restaurant. Prices are very reasonable!

Mabry Mill is said to be the most photographed spot on the Blueridge Parkway, I can believe it. It's right on the BRP. This is a beautifully preserved piece of history. There are many places to take pictures of the mill around the grounds. The restaurant and gift shop are great place to fill your tummy. The fall colors are the most popular time, so expect lots of traffic and big crowds.

This is one of the best stops along the Blue Ridge Parkway. The after traveling down the Parkway, stop and see the sites at the old Mabry Mill. It's a blast from the past for sure. Then head inside and have a good meal. The prices are fair and the good is delicious. Below is a picture of the pancakes with apple compout.

Unfortunately the restaurant and gift shop weren't open when we went to do the Faceless Children of the Future dolls photoshoot. However, we still had an amazing time at Mabry Mill.

Always a great place to stop along the Parkway. Really good food...but you'll probably have to wait to be seated. Friendly service & good prices.

If you are on the parkway you have to stop here for breakfast or lunch. They make excellent homemade food and the staff are great.

This is obviously one of the more popular stops along the parkway. Its immediately on the parkway so no walking required and is free admission so I suprising it's so popular. It's a very pleasant area to stop and stretch your legs and read a little bit about mabry and what his life was like.
If you're passing the area then definitely stop here, but perhaps not worth going too far out of your way.
Worth noting that the restaurant wasn't open when I was here in early April.

Great place!….don’t believe the few bad reviews. One in particular two weeks ago was entirely wrong. The historic buildings were not closed. We had great conversations on site at the buildings with both Stephanie and Tinsley. They were demonstrating their respective crafts & both took time to answer our questions & provide a presentation. The restaurant was great, and we were seated as soon as we arrived at 10am. Food was good and our waitress, Karen was terrific. The property grounds weren’t perfect, but didn’t bother us that the grass was a little tall. It’s not the Biltmore House for heavens sake!…🤣 we definitely will make another trip to Mabry Mill. 👍

Came here with my mom and 3 kids and we had a fun time. Food was good, service wasn't bad but wasn't great either. We enjoyed walking around the grounds too. I do wish the mill it's self was more wheelchair accessable (my mom is disabled) but other than that we had a great time!

Didn't eat there this visit but we did last fall. Lunch was fantastic. One of my favorite places to go on parkway.
