DIY Jeep Tours

Such a great idea instead of the expensive scenic rail. The audio tour was informative with all the stops along the way. We started at 9 and got back at 5 which was the perfect amount of time to do all the stops including caribou crossing and getting homemade bison chili at the Yukon suspension bridge.

Great experience! It can be pricey but it’s 100% worth it. I didn’t really want to go on an excursion for this port and found this company. The jeep was in perfect condition and the system they use for the guidance is awesome. It was amazing to just be alone with my partner with no other tourists around. The process was easy and everyone was friendly.

My wife and I rented from here during our port day in Skagway while on our cruise, and did the drive to Carcross. This couldn’t have been easier and we received a very clean and well-running Jeep Wrangler. The lunch from The Bistro was even delicious! 10/10 would prefer this again over the train ride.

Great experience in Skagway! Got our Jeep and loved going on our own and deciding where we wanted to stop and look. Just gorgeous! We had a yummy lunch that was packed for us. We stopped at the Yukon bridge and had a lot of fun there too. I would highly recommend.

Such a fun way to escape from people and take in the sights on your own terms. This was my favorite stop for our cruise, allowing us to do our own thing with our own schedule and the sights were absolutely incredible.

Nice clean Jeep Gladiator. The book and audio self guided tour was really cool and helpful. Gave us passes to pick up the snack lunch and was super easy. Scenery was beautiful.

We had 3 couples so we got 3 jeeps. Employees were great when arriving. The interactive iPad was terrific! Great way to see skagway and the Yukon.

This is probably the best thing for a family on vacation. It is the only place that offers a "tour" (recorded audio track with a pleasant and articulate voice narrating) that does not charge by person. One price and you can fill the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, four door with automatic transmission, with up to five people. You can follow the tour provided or not. You can use the Jeep for a half hour or all day. It is essentially a rental car, and your adventure is up to you. We drove up through the Yukon, and we're back in about 3 hours of leisurely driving. It was perfect for us.

My wife found this place online as an alternative to the cruise ship excursions. They were awesome. We took the tour. It lasts about 3 hours and goes way up into the Yukon in Canada. We made a couple other stops on the way, Tutshi dogsled tours, and Spirit Lake Lodge for lunch. The cool thing was you could stop and take pictures or hike around whenever you wanted. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Skagway. It's a great way to see the area.

This was probably the best part of our vacation! My husband and I loved this! It was cheaper than the tours booked separate. Those were around 200$ PP. This was around 280$ plus gas. But we stopped when we wanted, many pull off’s along the guided route, and some of your own. Stayed as long as we wanted at stops. You won’t get lost, there is one hwy out of town, the guided CD they give you starts you right from port, also they give you a map and booklet of info/ facts. You can do your own exploring or with the cd guide. Drive all the way to Emerald Lake, it’s about 1.5 hours without stops, but trust me you will stop to take some amazing pictures. Many two tones lakes, mountains, wildlife, waterfalls, the train, it was amazing. There is also a little town close to the lake, Carcross you can have lunch and little shops, even a big playground for the kids. The Bistro has really good food! Halibut was great! I would definitely recommend this DIY tour!!

We were on the Norwegian Bliss in Skagway (Cruise) and we were tired of the "group" activities/excursions, so we found this on TA and decided to go for it. We weren't disappointed--it's as described, a self-guided tour where you get to drive yourself up to the Canadian Border, and then through the Yukon.

Emerald Lake is a must! And the rest of the scenery was just breathtaking. Would do again in a heartbeat.

The best way to visit! iPads do not having GPS, just a few audio files about your trip.ake certain you thoroughly check out the vehicle for all damage before leaving, as it is a very gravely drive up to Carcross. Also, make certain the wipers work well before leaving and there is washer fluid in the reservoir, as it WILL rain on you at some point.

Such an awesome way to experience everything Skagway/Yukon has to offer! High quality 4 door 4x4 Jeeps that seat 5. Would highly recommend!!!!!! Worth the price!!!!

Easy to find and work with. The audio cd didn't work too well so we turned it off. The map they provide is awesome.
