Bugle Call Coffee

Soon as we arrived we were greeted by one of the owners as well as the store front assistant. They were very pleasant and welcoming. You immediately sensed the passion and love for their positions. They both were happy to share their knowledge and expertise. The aroma of freshly roasted coffee filled the air. We were offered a sample as well as viewing many different styles of coffee beans they offer. The experience was quaint and enjoyable. Highly recommend.

Love love love Bugle Call! I usually get the whole bean Black Knight Blend, but I am changing it up and trying new flavors. The coffee is fresh, flavorful, and fairly priced.
I am supper excited to try the coffee pods next!

In store, there is a home-like vibe with warm people. The best! But the coffee!! Their coffee whether shipped to you or straight from the store is top notch. This is my all time favorite coffee.

As an avid coffee drinker, I'd say Bugle Call is probably the smoothest cup I've had. It's always freshly roasted and I really appreciate getting a larger 1lb bag for less than I used to pay for 12oz from other roasters. Not even a hint of a bitter aftertaste with any three roasts I've tried so far!

Big awesome shout-out to BUGLE CALL COFFEE for going above and beyond in supporting our PTSO New Kent High's Teacher Appreciation trail mix bar this last Friday. Not only did they donate 3 different flavor coffees (2 hot & 1 cold -all huge hits!), cups and lids, but they made the extra effort to bring everything to the High School for us at 7am! And, they've already agreed to donate enough coffee to meet the needs of our upcoming Senior Breakfast. Very impressed and then some. Thank you Bugle Call Coffee!!

I fell in love with Bugle Call Coffee when I lived in the area and was able to purchase from them at the farmer's market. I recently moved out of state and can no longer interact with them in person, but I am also incredibly pleased with the online service! I decided to try a new blend in a subscription order, and while it was very good quality (as always), my husband was not a fan of that particular blend. I emailed customer service and in less than ten minutes she responded with new recommendations to help us find the perfect coffee for both of us and switch the order before our next shipment. Definitely support this business if you can!

The team at Bugle Call Coffee is truly amazing! Jack, Helen, Seth, and their team members stepped up and helped Reviresco Coffee Co. do some co-roasting during our ongoing move into our new location. The coffee came out great! Thank you, Bugle Call for responding to my SOS!

I started drinking Bugle Call last year around December, and that's all I've had since then! I subscribe to their coffee service, and they deliver fresh coffee to my door every two weeks or so. The coffee is amazing, and Seth, the roaster, is energetic, friendly, and knowledgeable. Among my favorites: Powder Keg Espresso, their Brazil blend, their Ethiopia Ardi, their... okay, I love many, and they continue to come up with new tastes to be adored. I'm lucky to have such a great roaster right around the corner!

We LOVE Bugle Call.. not only for how super fresh and tasty their coffee is, but for reminding us it is okay to treat yourself!! The convenience of having delivery means we never have to worry about running out of that transformative magic. From a massively groggy monster to a fully fledged human in one cup!
I had never ground my own beans before, but when I accidentally got beans instead of grounds it actually opened a whole conversation.. needless to say, we now grind our coffee fresh every morning and do not regret it a bit!! We have been getting coffee from Bugle Call directly for over 3 years and they have NEVER let us down. Do yourself a favor and set up a subscription if you can!! Helen - thanks for never letting me walk around like sasquatch even a single day. I love ya!

Simply, fantastic. I ordered the variety pack of the pods and a bag of the ground Bourbon Barrel Aged coffee. I received my order in the mail the next day. The pods are individually wrapped in mini compostable bags. I couldn’t help myself, so I opened one to check it out (Morning Formation) and the smell is amazing! Saving that one for tomorrow. I then opened the bag coffee that I received and poured me a cup….perfect. I’m not a coffee connoisseur by any means and I’m not sure if the grind size is the same in all of the bags that they have, but I left a note stating that I’d be using it in a Keurig. Whether the note was seen or not, it is spot on! It tastes like a fresh and delicious cup from a cafe. Highly recommend ditching your daily cup of chain store bought coffee and switch to Bugle Call. Support local!

A new kent gem! I enjoyed a cup at old tavern farm and it paired perfectly with those morning biscuits. I love the delivery service options and subscriptions, the price for 5lbs of whole bean is practical and the subscription gives me variety.

If I could give 6 stars, I would! The communication with Helen from the beginning was so professional and quick. I placed a large order for my small business and everything was delivered on time and packaged perfectly. I had such a great experience and went through my inventory faster than expected, so I recently placed a 2nd large order. I’m a local Realtor in Clarksville so I include their coffee in closing baskets; under contract gifts, listing appointment thank you, and referral gifts. I love telling clients we’re supporting a military family when I share the coffee bags with them. Thanks y’all! You’re the best!

Superb gourmet coffee roaster located just outside RVA, right off 64 at the Quinton/Bottoms Bridge exit. Specialty beans are roasted every weekend and shipped out on Mondays. You can taste the freshness which really makes a difference in the brew. Have tried all the offered varieties and each is smooth and distinctive. Planning on going with a subscription so I never run out of Bugle Call Coffee!

This is the best coffee I have ever had! Not sure if its the beans themselves or just that it is so incredibly fresh, but whatever it is it is great. Delivered to my door once a month for less than what I would pay at supermarket. Give it a try, you wont regret it.

Been using the subscription service for about 3-4 months. The taste (plus affordable cost) easily beats any of my local coffee shops. Really love the Colombia Nariño. Showed my other coffee loving friends their Colombia and now they buy that one once a month. Can't beat great affordable coffee produced by a military family

My husband is 40% coffee and Bugle Call makes the only flavored coffee he not only accepts, but genuinely likes! The subscription plan makes for a lovely surprise each month.

It's nice to have a local place which brings in solid quality coffee and roasts it well, the half cafe blonde roast is acidic, bright, and frankly tastes like blueberries.
Support local business, especially when they're this good.

I didn't know happiness came in a small brown bag. They sure know how to roast their coffee. One of the best Ethiopian coffees I've ever had! Will definitely continue buying more.

I highly recommend this company for excellent service and coffee for great flavor! Only coffee we buy!
