Charlie's Fish House Restaurant

We visited it in November 2023. Hidden gem!
The food is cheap (cheaper than in Boston) but so good!
Clam chowder - amazing! I wish I had 2 servings 😂
Crab roll - juicy, fresh, sweet 👏
Crab - also delicious.
Overall a great place with low prices and fresh, delicious seafood.

We had dinner tonight. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly and helpfull. The stone crab claws and the conche fritters were fantastic. The restaurant is nice and we enjoyed our stay!

Best clam chowder ever. You will wait and wait and wait, but it’s absolutely worth it. Everything we had was fantastic, service was good and the view on the water was spectacular!

We enjoyed the nautical atmosphere and had a great view of the water. We had fun watching seagulls slide down the tin roof, while we waited a long time for our food. Service was friendly but not super attentive. I had some of the best fish tacos I've had. Everyone loved what they ordered.

We were recommended to try Charlie’s Seafood by our vacation house manager. I was happily surprised when we walked in the door & I could see we were on the water. Very picturesque location. Staff was attentive & food was delicious. Everyone in the group enjoyed their lunch. I’m glad we stopped in and I’m hoping to go again at some point.

My husband and I stopped in for Lunch on a Friday and sat outside by the water. It was busy inside & out but the service was fast and friendly. The food was excellent, though the salad could have been better with some leaf lettuce or spring mix instead of just a pile of iceberg. Everything on the menu seems reasonably priced and the 2 for 5 wine special was a nice bonus. I had to take about have of my meal to go. Overall we had a great meal and are looking forward to going back. I want to try the crab stuffed shrimp!

We had lunch on a Tuesday. We had no wait for a table. Our server immediately greeted us and took our drink order. We ordered conch fritters for an app and I had the coconut shrimp lunch special. My wife had the shrimp chef salad. Both meals did not disappoint. The conch fritters were a little small but they were flavorful. Overall I would say this is a nice place for lunch. They do have a small area from outside dinning, but on a nice day that section is busy.

We loved everything about our dining experience here. The food was excellent, as were the prices. The service was helpful and friendly. Great atmosphere. You can sit outside for a view of the harbor if you wish.

The food and service here were top of the line. The food is affordable and delicious. The ambience of the restaurant was very nice and calm. The service here was amazing and fast. I would DEFINITELY recommend this place!

This local favorite on the water has great view and outside seating, is very nice the margaritas yum, our server Dayanara was very helpful and told us about local fresh water spring to go to. My local Clams Rockefeller over the top. Crab Cakes yum. Very reasonably priced. Margaritas yum!! Locals will tell you the place to go. We agree.

We enjoyed a lovely outside table right around noon and took advantage of the warmth of the miday winter Floridian sun! Something that pretty much becomes an un identified object during our brutily cold winter months in the north country.

Along with my vitamin D I inhaled a heaping helping of Stone crab claws! If you treat yourself to something like this once a year, this is definitely the dish you want to get and they were fresh and in season! It was explained to me by a local that the Crab claw industry, at least the Stone Crab claw industry, is sustainable by the fact that the fisherman remove one claw from the crab and place the crab back in its environs. The crab actually grows back the claw that was taken. I had no idea and that made me feel so much better about consuming this delicious meal!

A word to the wise if you are going to eat outside watch out for the black dive bombing V-tail birds, as they will make off with your crackers in the blink of an eye. But I kept an absolute vigil over my stone crab claws! At market rate they weren't going to get a single ounce of these babies. Also look at the pelican parking just to the left of the outside dining area. I believe that's the area that the fresh sea food boats come in and drop off their catch of the day. Like cars in the parking lot pelicans on the roof are a good sign of a good fresh seafood restaurant! Enjoy !

P.s. I started off this wonderful afternoon feast with an amazing bloody Mary, that I custom ordered, with enough horseradish to see it floating in the glass and I would get a piece with every draw on the straw. This little special order was fulfilled by our most amazing server!

IF YOU'RE IN TOWN THIS PLACE IS A MUST!!Absolutely outstanding place to eat!!!! I ordered the crab cakes and they were amazing! My girlfriend got boiled scallops and they were beyond any scallops I have ever tasted in my life. The crab buoys had just the right consistancy of batter and crab. Bug shout out to all the cooks in the back. The waitresses were all very nice and gave great advice on the menu!! Not only that but the whole bill came out to under 60 bucks and we both picked some of the most expensive options on the menu. I LOVE THIS PLACE, I'LL BE BACK EVERY TIME I COME TO VISIT!!!!

Was super good! Tammy was great...brought me a sample of the sauce on my meal so I could try before ordering...it was great! Food was awesome and good prices. Definitely going back. Only wish would've been for something green on my dish...I'm a veggie girl.

On the water, food was delicious. Their hush puppies are crunchy and savory. I had fried mullet and fries with coleslaw. The food was fresh & the fish came out piping hot.

Excellent service. Clean restaurant. Beautiful location, great views. Flounder was amazing. Crab and shrimp dip was very good. Chicken Caesar wrap was filling. Crab cake sandwich was awesome.

Nice fish camp type of atmosphere. Food was delicious. Shrimp was cooked just right not overly battered or deep fried. Try the local cream ale. Excellent on a hot day. Service was very good. We highly recommend sitting out back at the railing. You can watch multitude of fish swimming in the clear water. The Tarpen are 4 to 6 ft long.

Doris was our waitress, and was a delight. She took great care of us, and she was covering for another waitress friend of hers! What a sweet heart of a person, a real asset to Charlie's Fish House Restaurant! Oh, by the way, the stone claws I had with fried okra...excellent. The shrimp and grits with bacon, also awesome. Ate out back on the dockside watching the Tarpon jumping out of the water, and the Pelicans wading close by. What a beautiful day, a great place to relax and enjoy. Love it there. 😊👍

Loved the outside seating … not so much the inside but the good news is the restaurant is under renovation and it sounds like it will be a more upscale interior…. Food was good and hopefully under new management it will become great

We got the Mahi tacos and the Salmon. We were in a rush to eat in between excursions and let our hostess know. Everyone was incredible. They assured us we would have time to eat, so we stayed. I’m so glad we did! The food was great! The kindness was the best! The hostess told our server and she helped us choose things that could be prepared quickly and accommodated our food allergies. She brought out our sides because they were ready first, and I can’t tell you how much I appreciated everyone going above and beyond for us. We were able to have a delicious meal and make it to our next excursion with enough time to figure out parking and apply new sunscreen. Thanks for helping make our trip even better!! We will be back when next in the area!

This is a must to go to a traditional restaurant in Crystal River. It's right on the water. The place is big enough to attend to the customers. Fast service, fresh sea food, delicious, clean and great ambience. You can feel it like you were on board. Awesome crew 👌
