I have been searching for someone to fix a sewing machine that my Grandmother left me after her passing away recently ... This machine means a lot to me so I wanted to make sure it was going to be in the right hands when it comes to getting it fixed so a friend told me about Keel's Kountry Kottage. I am so glad I chose them to do the work on it! I picked it up today on 10/1/19, Took it home and plugged her in ... She ran like a dream! They did an awesome job and I will definitely use them again in the future. Thank You So Much!!!

Took a Brother and a Singer Sewing machines for repair at Keels Kountry Kottage.
I would not recommend this place at all and only giving 2 stars because I got my machines done in a shorter than usual time ( judging from other online reviews for this place)
I was especially upset about the misleading charges and found the charges extremely high and not at all justified.

They tell you that " we will call after inspection and let you know if there are other costs before we repair the machine".

Well, NO ONE bothered to call, I called almost every other day to find out the status. Finally, when I picked up my machines, the foot control was left behind so I had to make a special trip to pick that up days later.

My previous visit several years ago was great..prices and service was excellent back then.
This is why I went back - only to be hugely disappointed with how much they charge for every little thing they adjust on the machine.

I would not recommend this place to anyone - unless you're absolutely desperate and have money to spare.
You're better off buying a brand new machine for the price of repairs.

It has been 5 weeks and I have not received a call. I called twice and been told it wasn't done. That was 3 weeks ago. Now I just get a busy signal during work hours. Please let your customers know the status on repairs l. I will take it back.

Was told that they could fix my machine for $45. Then told my Husband it might be more like $65 or $75 when he dropped it off. After a couple weeks he asked us to buy more needles. Finally after four weeks I started calling a couple times a week and kept getting put off. But after the SEVEN WEEKS to repair my machine he told me $200 IN ADDITION to the $45 we gave him without consulting us first. And then he told me he was being generous because if he billed me for all the hours it would be more like $500!
I got the machine home after they said my machine was fixed. It was simply the timing that was off but when I got it back the presser foot no longer raised and advanced the leather. That was working FINE when I took it in. I sent it back because they 'guarantee' their work. A little over a week I had heard nothing. I called and he had not even looked at my machine and started asking me what it was doing. I had written on the leather under the foot what it was doing. So a week later I called and he said he was almost done and he'd be calling me that afternoon, but I never heard from them. So I call the next day and the son said he'd go get him and then came back to the phone and said he wasnt there but the machine was apart on the table. Since my Husband was in the area he dropped by and said he'd be picking the machine up at the end of the day. When I got it home, the presser foot was STILL not advancing. So he might have fixed the timing, but he broke my presser foot and he had my machine for over 9 WEEKS!! I also paid $50 for them to fix my Singer 20-U and within a few hours of sewing it went back out of adjustment. DO NOT use them.

Very bad experience! This owner pretty much took $'s advantage of a situation. I brought my commerical machine for repairs to him in June for needle tensions 6 and 10 not working. Needles would not go up and down. Mind you, this is an extremely large and heavy machine. When I brought to him, I had to go home and bring him the tutorial and write up the process for working the machine for him, gave him over an 1 1/2 hours of my time showing him how to work it. He charges me $45.00 on that day to look at it and see what the problem is. He ends up with the machine for over a week with no call. I called, he asked I come in. Again, I have to show him how to work it, the problem could not be fixed yet he told me. He had to make some more calls because he could not get ahold of any of the brands maitenance people. I felt he could not fix it so I explained I could not wait anymore, I will take my machine home. He then charges me over $200.00, he said for looking at the machine. I was amazingly shocked. I paid it because I'm the better person. Be cautious!

Dropped off a heavy duty walking foot machine in September and didn't get it back until March. He charged us 250.00 and when we got the machine home and tried to use it, it would only stitch for a few inches and break the thread. I took it back and asked him to look at it and he told me there was nothing wrong with it with a really nasty attitude. I took it to Richard Dodds at Midstate Sewing Machine Co. and he took one look at it and said parts were missing from the tensioner which is what I asked when I took it back to Keels. I wouldn't use Keels ever again. Used to be a good reputable shop but not any more.

This initialism for this business is KKK and people are continuing to patronize them even after numerous bad reviews? Is this a joke?
