We came to this park because of my sister since she had been here before and enjoyed the kayak offered here. We arrived around 10 am and the double kayaks where all rented and we would have to wait maybe over 1 to 2 hours no guarantee. So we decided to try the single kayak. It was so much fun we had a great time in the park. It was very peaceful with just random people that can't enjoy nature sound without music. Only issue I had was the lack of prices for the rentals maybe they where online but there were no signs of pricing. Other than that super clean and very nice park.

I've been here a couple of times now and I really enjoy the trails. The all inter twine so you may find yourself a little bit lost but there are maps available. I was having a bit of an issue with some flies attacking me, not sure if it was a new hair product I used or if my bug spray is no good. My most recent trip ended earlier than planned due to this. If you use a good bug spray, you should be fine. I appreciate that they have restrooms available. I haven't tried the kayaking yet because I've never been kayaking before but it seems like a popular part of the park. There is plenty of parking available. Great place to mindlessly wonder or get in a good workout.

First encounter with a rattlesnake 🐍 hopefully my last ever, and it was on a paved path, that's always possible when you're in nature of Florida to come across all of its natural beauty. This place is massive and so much to do here will be returning for more things to try and other paved trails.

What a beautiful park! Probably one of the best I have been to yet! There are so many trails in so many directions. With beautiful scenery and wild life if you get lucky. I saw a alligator, turtle and lots of Bird's You can walk, ride bike and even kayak around here. They have bike and kayak canoe rentals on site. But you can also bring your own as well. I rode my mountain bike around. I didn't even get to see the trails l because of how big. Plenty of shade. Public restrooms available. Picnic tables and tiki huts available. I'm definitely coming back to bring my kayaks here.

If you haven’t been to History in the Park you need to come. To include you should attend a reenactment of the Battle of Loxahatchee and learn your Florida history.

I was actually at Picnic island for a business group social. We had a great time kayaking and enjoying the food we brought. The area was clean and freshly graded and rolled, so the shell rock was nicely compacted. Love this well maintained park.

Having been to many parks in South Florida this one stands out in terms of diversity of natural beauty and it’s not boring to explore even if you’re not a nature geek. Most comparable parks are like 1/3 the size of this one so it may actually be the best park in South Florida.

My husband and I rode bicycles throughout the bike trails. The park has an abundance of trees and wildlife. You can rent bikes, canoes or kayaks at the Jupiter Outdoor Center located within the park. The park offers approx. 15 miles of hiking and biking trails mostly canopied, 7 miles of equestrian trails and 5 miles of canoeing/kayaking trails. There're many tiki huts and grills throughout the park. Also, there are maps placed throughout the trails which you will need them to get bearing. (Without maps or GPS, you can get lost, seriously....) When visiting the park, keep the following in mind.

* No pet allowed except service animals.
* No trash left behind. No trash receptacles.
* No amplified sound (i.e. boom box, large speakers, PA system, DJs, bands, etc.)
* No bounce houses, water slides or golf carts.

If you are a true-nature lover, this park is a must-to-visit!

Great place to learn about local Florida history! You are also able to rent kayaks, and bikes to explore the area.

There are restrooms avaible towards the entrance of the park, next to one of the parking lots.

Had a great hike. It is also an awesome place to ride a bike. Saw several very healthy deer, including this beautiful buck with velvet still on it's antlers. We stared at each other for at least five minutes.

If you are up for walking, biking or kayaking, you have found your park. Lots of trails, lakes, rivers, picnic pavilions, and grassy areas. No pets allowed.

This is a regular outting for my family and me. They have bicycle and walking trails, kayaking and picnic areas and restrooms at different locations within the park. Some of your restrooms are portable and some are in buildings.

Please note this a trash free park. There are no trash cans, but small plastic bags are hanging by picnic areas for your usage to take the trash with you.

There are bike, kayak and canoe rentals at affordable prices. It's a really nice place to take your family for picnics and outdoor exercise. Picnic pavalions are available with grills for your use.

Also, it's best to go early if you plan to cycle all the trails because of the heat; however, Reese Trail seems to offer more shade than the rest when cycling.

We've seen doe's and bucks, raccoons, turkeys, peacocks, even alligators and lots of squirrels during our visits.

Some great views of nature up close and Rod and the guys were super friendly and even overlooked us getting back later. My kids had a hard time because of the mosquitoes. Still it was a good lesson in adversity for them along with stress of learning to row and coordination.

The park was a bit wet but always buetiful. The wild life was abundant. 5000 years of Native American, Military and pioneer history at the park seem to create a sence of antiquity. It is easy to imagine that the spirits of the Native Americans still reside at the Loxahatchee. '

Free Seminole War Battlefield Tour

Taken together, the Seminole Wars were the longest, most deadly and expensive Indian Wars in United States history. Lake Worth Florida is named for General William J. Worth, who led U.S. forces during the last part of the Second Seminole War (1835-1842). The last large engagement of the Second Seminole War occurred near Jupiter Florida on January 24, 1838. From October through May the Loxahatchee Battlefield Preservationists conducts free guided tours of the Battlefield every Saturday at 10am.
