Lake Mills Park

I love this park. There's covered pavillions for private gatherings that you can reserve, beautiful lake-side picnic tables, a quiet little fishing pier, a set of campsites, a playground, a good mix of open field and shady tree coverage, paved walking/jogging paths with exercise stations, bear-proof trash cans, and restrooms. At the time of this review, they are currently rebuilding the nature trail boardwalk, which I'm very excited about. It was one of my favorite places to walk through nature or meditate growing up.
The park asks that dogs are kept on a leash, but from what I can remember, there are otherwise no other restrictions or amenities related to dogs (including poop-collection bags, so dog owners, please bring your own).

The presence of a beautiful lake towards the end of the park is undoubtedly a major attraction. It is a great spot to unwind and take in the natural beauty of the surroundings. The calm waters of the lake are perfect for a leisurely boat ride, and the serene atmosphere makes it an excellent spot for fishing. Visitors can take a walk along the lake shore or sit on the benches provided to enjoy the view. The sight of the sun setting over the lake can be an awe-inspiring experience.

The availability of multiple pavilions in the park is also noteworthy. These structures are perfect for hosting events such as birthday parties, weddings, or corporate functions. The pavilions are equipped with tables and chairs and are available for rent. They are strategically located in the park, providing easy access to other amenities and attractions.

In addition to the lake and pavilions, the park has multiple playgrounds for kids. These play areas are well-maintained and offer a range of equipment suitable for children of different ages. The playgrounds are also fenced, providing a safe environment for children to play in. The park also has a volleyball court and open areas that can be used for various activities such as picnics, yoga, or other outdoor games.

Visitors can take a leisurely stroll around the lake, host an event in one of the pavilions, or enjoy a picnic with family and friends. Pavilions for parties, brand new playground (2ish years old maybe), they have built a small pier over the water and they are in the process of paving sidewalks for trails. Great place to take my kids to play and run around.

Perfect place to scape from reality. The Playground has been renovated. Kids will love it. The trail is closed unfortunately. The cabana houses are big enough for b-day parties. Plenty of parking. There are grills to BBQ, just bring your charcoal. The view of the lake is breathtaking.

Lovely park with beautiful views. There is the sweetest little stage/seating area that my kids enjoyed pretending on for hours. There is also gorgeous view of the lake from walk on dock.

My only wish is that the playground equipment was cleaned up/washed a little more, but overall it was in good condition. + There is a climbing rock area for adventurous kids!

East Oviedo, FL. Jehovah’s Witnesses day at the park🥰😁 And the food was awesome I learned how to play an Italian game as well. And had the chance to utilize the Italian language with a sister as well. Overcast clouds not hot at all and cool breezes. Did we have fun, yes we did. And a stroll near the lake quiet and beautiful. This park is amazing. Not only is the lake and surrounding forest beautiful but it always feels 5 degrees cooler at this park. Perfect for if you like being outside but don’t like the Florida heat. There’s also many fun playgrounds for kids and good seating all around the park.

There’s tons of cool animals around if you keep an eye out! Saw a red-shouldered hawk and a tortoise!

Lake Mills Park is a fantastic amenity for the county. It has amenities for a variety of activities. You’ll find a soft launch for canoes, kayaks, and SUPs. There is also plenty of parking to accommodate the handful of variable sized pavilions (which you can also reserve). The open space at the park is nice too if you just want to pitch a picnic blanket, toss a frisbee, or take the kids to the playground. What’s nice about the park too is the well-maintained campground - perfect for family weekend campouts or scout trips.

Beautiful park! I'm always surprised there aren't more people there! You can fish, grill, and do anything you want! Great space for anything and everything! Parking is convenient! Restrooms are available!

I've been going to this pk since I was a kid, I'm 55 now and have taken my kids there. It has been growing & Improving.over the yrs. Just love it.

Nice new sidewalks are in and the trails are under construction that started 27 Sep 23. I look forward to the trails opening up. Ran into a few campers. Sites are only $16 per day, limited to 7 days.

A little gem of a park hidden away in the middle of everything! I almost feel bad sharing! I want to keep this a secret... Beautiful fields, amazing camping sites that are teething with lush vegetation, a little boardwalk and a few trails with a beautiful lake. Playground and pavilion for larger events. Also a very nice group campsite with a big fire ring and benches.

Great place for events. Beautiful lake. Well kept grounds, plenty to do and see for a bunch of children.

We were there for a cub scout event and it was super easy to get in and out of there without any hassle. The pavillion was clean and organized and the parking more than plentiful for the size of our group.

While it rained a lot that day. The pavillion provided adequate coverage against the storm.

Great park for everything from fishing, camping, hiking, and pavilions for events. Nice playground for young kids too!

Went here for a baby shower, and it was a great time. My kids got to play at the playground and run around in the field and have a blast. Nice place to visit.

What a great park! Very peaceful. The facilities are nice and clean. Good views of the lake from an assortment of benches.

Beautiful park and good size hiking trail. It has bathrooms, water fountains, and water fountains for your fur babies. The lake is beautiful, but there is no swimming in the lake. Lots of picnic tables and they recently replaced the kids play area which looks amazing.

beautiful waterfront and exciting “treehouse” style playground. We love visiting this park that highlights natural Florida.

Probably one of the best parks I've been to so far.. beautiful scenery and plenty amenities! Will be my favorite park to go too..
